Fujikura 553 Need some advice
I had a Fuji Tour Spec 553 in a TM 540XD Tour and although it felt pretty good, it just did not feel right. I reshafted with a NV 55-X and all things changed. I have played the NV in various weights since the middle of last season, but have been back and forth through vaious Fuji's as they get so much publicitiy, but I don't see any benefit to them over the NV. I believe that the NV is at least as good as the high end Fuji's and for me and my swing is longer and feels much better. The 540XD combo with the NV 55-X is an awesome combo. The head was 208g, so I was able to finish the club off at 44.5" and still have the swingweight just about D5. My SS is 112mph and the NV 55-X holds up very well and feels awesome. Nice tight dispersion, mid-high ball flight that does not balloon. The 553 is a very nice shaft, but I don't see that it is worth the additional premium over the NV 55. Bill

First R7 Tour sold....
Carl's Golfland here in SE Michigan (West Bloomfield location) has demo R7's (retail only) and is taking orders for the shipment they expect on June 1. None available to purchase, just demo clubs. Price is $499.99. They were not sure what the TP would sticker at, but expected it to be at $799 but did not expect the TP version until late July or even August. I have not made it there yet to try the R7 but might have a chance next week. Bill

TP Fuji 757’s, Aldila Proto Green, DGS300’s
Kolla, I have never shipped to Malaysia and made the following assumptions for UPS and FedEx shipping: 1. Postal Code - 46050 2. Residential Address 3. Box Size - 51" x 6" x 6" 4. Weight - 2 lb. I may have a smaller box, but I am not sure. I can recheck the shipping price if you can give me your postal code and whether the package would go to a residential or business address. The box size is rounded up when they calculate it so if it is slightly over any dimension it goes to the next even 1". Rates for UPS: $163.15 or $159.17 Rates for FedEx: $137.93 or $129.34 So I am not sure how you calculated your estimated shipping. I don't believe that it would be worth it for you, but I am willing to check shipping prices again if you provide me the addtional information. Payment via Paypal would have to be made for the shafts plus the shipping amount prior to the package being shipped. Bill

TM TP FACE VS TM DF..HELP
The 510 TP and 510 DF are the exact same head. The DF is just tweaked for a specific Tour player. The DF may appear slightly deeper as the paint does not wrap down the face as far as it does on the TP. I have held them side-by-side and hit a 9.5º DF and 9.5º TP both with the same shaft and if I did not know which was which, I would not be able to tell which was the TP or DF. Other common differences are that the DF heads are usually heavier, some have open face angles, DF has "Titanium" on the toe rather than the TP crest, DF may not have a serial # or may have a serial # starting with a "T" or a "Z" while the Retail TP will have a normal serial #. You roll the dice with the DF unless your seller knows what he has as far as weight, loft and face angle. The Retail TP is at least close to spec, while the DF may come with some very odd specs as the normal PGA Pro has a much different swing that most amateurs and can get their equipment tweaked just right for their swing. Hope that helps. Bill

WTB or WTTF: Aldila Green Proto 75 "X"
I'm looking for an Aldila Green Prototype 75 "X" with the following specs: * Untipped * 0.335" tip * Tip abrasion less than 1.5" * 43.25" or longer I have an Aldila NV 65 "S" and Grafalloy Blue "X" that I could offer in trade or can also do payment for a straight up cash deal via Paypal. Would also consider an NV 75 "X". I can get a new one at Golfsmith minus a 20% coupon, but thought I would check if there are any pullouts floating around. Email me at [email protected] . Thanks, Bill

TOUR Callaway GBB II PS 9.5º Fujikura Six "X"
Lots of nibbles, but no one willing to pull the trigger, so I moved the club to eBay to start on Tuesday night (3/23) and end Sunday evening (3/28). Bidding starts at $1.00 with NO RESERVE so you may get a very good deal on a genuine Tour GBBII or a TM 510 TP with a Fuji Tour Release 27.3 or 975JVS with Fuji Speeder 757 or a couple of headcovers (983 & Futura) that are all listed and started at $1.00 with NO RESERVE. Check my user ID of DCI86. Thanks, Bill

TOUR Callaway GBB II PS 9.5º Fujikura Six "X"
Used but still in very nice condition Tour Issued Callaway Great Big Bertha II Pro Series 9.5º with a Callaway installed Fujikura Six "X" at 45" with a Callaway Big Bertha grip. Swingweight right around D4, so this is a heavier head as the Fuji Six is a mid 50g shaft. NO serial # on the heel like the retail model. There is also a clear label with "J4LMSR" in red writing on the shaft just below the grip. Overall in very nice condition except for some small chips out near the toe. They are primarily below the crown so you do not notice them at address and the blue head helps hide them very well. I have pictures and have circled the marks so that you can see them for yourself. Other than that, the rest of the head is in very nice condition with minimal marks on the face and sole. Sorry, I don't have the original headcover. Looking for $275 shipped/OBO or would also consider trades involving a TM 540 DF in 9.5º or 10.5º or a 2004 Cally BB 3+. Post here or email me directly at [email protected] . I do have pictures of the club and can email them if you are interested. Thanks, Bill

975JVS 8.5º Fuji Speeder 757 "X" (Real One)
Like new Titleist 975JVS 8.5º with a Titleist installed Fujikura Speeder 757 "X" flex at 44" with a Golf Pride Victory full cord grip (green and black). Swingweight right around D0. I would say this is new, but I got this in trade so I'm not sure. If it's not new, this is as close as you could get without having plastic on the head. Head is absolutely pristine with no marks of any kind on the head. Very minute scratches on the sole from being on display, but no wear marks on the sole or face. Top has no dings or nicks in the paint. I will include a 975JVS headcover that has been used, but is in very nice condtion with no rips or tears. A couple of small stains on the red/white/black sock part, but the headcover itself is very nice. Looking for $200 shipped/OBO and Trades are also considered. Nothing in particular that I need, so try me out. Post offers here or email me directly at [email protected] . I am setup for Paypal and eat any fees. I do have pictures and can email them as I do not know how to attach pictures here. Thanks, Bill

Rifle Project X 5.5 4-PW Taper Tip
4-PW (7 shafts) Taper Tip (0.355") Rifle Project X 5.5 Pullouts from a set of Titleist 690.CB's with Golf Pride Full Cord grips. I can get shaft measurements tonight, but I believe that the 5 iron installed in the 690.CB played to 38". Excellent condition and tips have been cleaned up and ready for use. $135 shipped with payment via Paypal (I'll eat any fees) or money order. Trades also encouraged. Would be interested in OEM drivers and high-end "X" flex driver length shafts. Can add cash to deals to make things square. Post here or email me at [email protected] . Thanks, Bill

TM Weight Port - Installation question
Taking them out is the easy part... drill a small hole in the plastic body (between the rods) and then screw in a screw a ways and grab hold of the screw with a pair of pliers, exert some pressure and it should pop out. I was looking more for some info on installation of the weight port as I have a brand new, unused one that I am going to put in a TM 540 Tour head. The weight port has a "wrapper" on it and when peeled off there is an adhesive of some type on the weight port. I did not know if this adhesive already on the weight port was sufficient to hold it in or if some additional epoxy or similar materail was needed?? I have heard that the "sticky stuff" used to hold the weight port in is similar to the stuff used by Callaway to hold the medallians on the back of the X14 irons. You can pop them off and then stick them back on. Bill
