  1. Yup due to shaft length but not by a huge amount. That & 3-4* diff of loft will mean 10 or so yards.

Couldn't agree more. Your good swing day will turn out great with lots of birdies but your yuk swing day will turn pretty horrid.
  3. Putting handicap numbers 5-11/15 is indicative of the ball striking but not necessarily correct. I have 2 contrasting buddies one hcp 31 the other 14 that may illustrate this. 14 hcp - straight and long driver best 3 wood off the deck among golfers i know, horrible iron player, hits thin, fat and basically his iron full shots are 90% variation of a miss. But he is good around the green and very decent putter. Cant hit my blades top save his life. The 31 hcper on the other hand is horrible off the tee with woods. Terrible course management and tries to hit miracle recoveries and hits trees 20x a round. Bad around the greens but also a decent putter. His iron play? Crisp and solid and i envy how he compresses the ball. Hits blades no problem. (Jonathan, you know who i am talking about Bruce and Craig) I'm sure you have a gauge of you own ball striking.. trust it :)

There is a chart. An R+ hardstepped once frequencied the closest to a DGS300 & Project x 5.5. They feel firm though and tight. Best dispersion shaft i ever owned and feels good on good swing but it will feel quite harsh on bad swing.
  5. My bro in law came back from Fiji where he played with Mizzy jpx800 with dgr300 & loved it. He immedialtly asked me and I said go thru a Mizuno fitting. He called me as it recommended some light shaft. I told him to hit the recommended shaft vs the r300 in real world. Even the fitter said use the r300 afterwards.
  6. Me2 Pete. AF302's perhaps?
  7. Certainly worked! Amazing how different heads matches up better with certain shafts. Shame u decided to do 4wheel driving over your fw80, that would have been a good experiment with the Ryoma F3 :)
  8. Ugh J's 1st outing & he takes the $$$ with a 10foot downhill left to right on the 18th..
  9. There's a lot of shaft to select from but i wouldn't go less than a stiff. Your spin rate is very low for a 6 iron, surely there's a mistake there. THats more like in the driver class. I think it should be 2k higher have it rechecked. Launch seem good.
  10. This is my dilemma but being rarely at the range I am a little slow in my assessment and certainly wont quickly change. I can still see the potential of the RD but also can see myself regretting selling the cb46 lol. Maybe no one buys by May where I might go visit Spoon and pick it up lol.
  11. I don't understand with that data why r200/300? How is ur tempo & transition? If its overly slow then fine but it its normal to quick then it's on the standard stiff range ie s300, project x 5.5 stiffness.
  12. When both nutted up to 2clubs differential in approach. It's 46.5 vs 45.5 and the prgr rep shows me higher efficiency average of Course on the shorter one so on average cb46 will statistically get the nod but It's still early days yet & I need more time. When u middle both then you will see the diff hence why i am persevering. It's designed to play longer so gripping down gives it a yukky feel for me. Yesterday I had trouble early and a long time mate (it's Oliver Gian11) told me ur nuts changing shafts, that brand is just u... Crazy! Then I nutted one and he said oh ok, I see now but it's Still to Get consistent.
  13. I haven't commented yet because I don't practice and do my testing during game. As Gian11 said I have bombed this quite a few times but I haven't had the consistent rounds I have had with the cb46. My initial findings is CB46 - long, has more control, can shape easily fade/draw RD - longer when both nutted & works well with standard full swing. I couldn't grip down & shape any shots at this point so tight doglegs that need shaping = trouble. Yes, I do prefer hitting a bigger headed club gripped down on such holes than a 3w. Spoon is selling my cb46 coz of shipping issues coming from oz (friend carried for me) coz wife will kill me for having an idle shaft that cost $$$. But I am still kinda in confused between these two shafts.
  14. Spoon is on leave from forum for a little while so pls PM me of interested. One time professionally pulled from a ryoma vspec @45.5. 5months use. US$430 shipped.
  15. May all of you experience your best ever Golfing year in 2012. Happy New Year!!! Cheers Eric
  16. or the DI's?
  17. Hi Joe, Basing on ur historcal decision making (52 vs 67) I say 302s stronger loft vs tours traditional lofts. I have not used the SP blues but it's description & reviews indicate lower flight. I'm also a high ball hitter & tried the c tapers & it did lower my flight in the 1957s.
  18. Dale, in real world this is 100-110mph, i'm 100-105 & a friend at 108-112 no issue. It is a gr8 shaft combo of control & distance. Very versatile in terms of manufacturing shots. It responds to gripping down & hitting 80% punchy tee shots to a tight par4. I asked Tario about having it also in my 3w & he said feel might be lost if butt is chopped. I'm curious still. E
  19. PX-03 old spoon yea! Shallow but I think not as shallow as the newer PX-03D which is for me really good. I'm still going to give the Yonex St a go. Pete it's St right?
  20. Never really hated 'feel' for any shaft I used in the right flex though I have a preference after getting used to a certain feel. It's more on the result. I found the flight of modus3 similar to KBS tours. KBS c taper flight similar to project x. Feel wise definitely a difference but I could go with any if talking feel & the faithful dgs300 will be up there too. kbS C-tapers is giving me the Results & feel combo right now but but love to try the SPBlue.
  21. Egg or ryoma, it just depends on which shape suits u better. Off the tee I would pick Ryoma. Distance maybe slight edge to the Egg, off the deck they both excel. Shaft is ur only headache if u have these two at the top of ur list. There are of course plenty of good reviews on others but I haven't used them.
