  1. Same Q as mr.D, any comparison done on the X vs crazys ? Thks
  2. having played epons for last few yrs, unless 503s are much diff from 502s, i think the VG3s beckons. Best of both worlds......titliest & jdm. If only tiger looked east instead of those crappy nikes......
  3. looks low but Q- which shaft did he use? whats the carry vs roll as it looks like lots of carry with little roll..... Wonder how crazy will stack up vs diamana x
  4. Just as mad i am. My 502s gamers are getting worn out & the 302s while sweet, is tad misbehaving. Looking at new VG3s, new 503s ( hopefully they will have coppers / black finishs ) for 201 into SPs blues. Does the onoff forge 2011 play closer to 502 or 702s ? Thks

makes me want to get out there to purchase one. I currently use RC 14deg, VS tour, awesome head off tee & deck - throughly workable. I was bitterly disappointed with the Ryoma F2, so looking to sell it and get another 3W - was thinking of RBZ till i read this. Seems the playability / profile are similar to the RC
  8. if i can only see less than half of the ball, steep swing 7i to get it out as its almost impossible to do that with hybrids, no matter what loft.
  9. Jim - how is the crazy 435ii dstance vs ryoma ? Thks

Hmmm, we seem to have the same drivers/ shaft combo. Cracked my Ryoma ( on cb46 shaft ) last week & had to send i back to be replaced. So been using my ' old ' epon AF 102 on LY. I forget how sweet ths thing is to hit - solid sound, like the old titliest, but felt so soft........almost didnt think it could go that far. Still, the eopn is 20-25 yards shorter than my ryoma.
  11. except for the scottys
  12. a taylor made bomber from the west, challenging the reigning champ, ryoma.
  13. vs the ryoma - distance / forgiveness, anyone ?
  14. Chanaa replied to Mjr. D's post in a topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
Never played RD, only LY & CB 46.........so in my op, CB 46 For FWs, sigma fw50 beats fw80
  15. Looks like a scotty cameron / epon lover withe the 3 dots. The blue rings & dot at the soles would chang th head wgt by quite a bit. Pretty things though

Stupid question.....are these conforming ? Thks
  18. Sorry, to add - not convinced royal dec is suited for me although i have read its longer than LY & CB46. Unless there is a game changer out in 2012, guess i will stick to my present shafts & work on the swing :-)
  19. Hmmm. Great questions, i would add distance but guess an earlier post / topic has voted royal dec - i guess it woul all depend on swing type / speed. I currently use : LY TJ-46 CB 46 Sigma FW50 FW80 Crazy Black UTI For the big stick, i would say LY wins out in terms of feel / response - which i understand is down softer tip. CB feels tighter & takes greater effort to swing, but gives me better control, hence better dispersion. Distance I feel is the same. Just started using FW80, so cant really judge.........yet. Been using sigma fw50 fr a while now, all i can say is it goes long, penetrating. Feels solid & in control. FW80 feels softer more responsive. Crazy uti - unbelievable, almost iron like control / trajectory with rockets strapped on.
  20. Probably taking some used to the shaft. Will give it some time & switch to the Sigma FW50 7.7. My ss is 105mph, so 7.4 / 7.7 should work relatively close unless the FW80 is high launch. Thks
  21. Ok, received my F2 / crazy FW80 7.4 few days ago - have hit ard 100 balls on range & 2 full rounds, off deck & tees. Comparing this to my TRC BBD VS 14deg / Sigma FW50 7.7 which has 40 odd rounds under. - super easy to hit, very forgiving & tight dispersion. Semi topped a shot and it scooted 200 yards, straight. If it was my TRC, it would have ran 100 yards & skwed off right. Point to F2 - sound is as T's review, feels hollow but solid ' twocked '. It personally takes some getting used to as the TRCs are solid crisps. Point TRC - address, its huge but gives good confidence - almost impossible to work a draw. Tried & it just went straight or high hook. TRC - ball flight......it flys off hot, almost effortlessly but climbs into a wall the last 30% and drops straight down. The TRC has a penetrating flight throughout. TRC - Length - this was my biggest disappointment. Its a good 25 yards behind the TRC - 2 observations......the TRC draw obviously helps with more roll, but even for the carry, the TRC wins out. The F2 ball flight doesn't help......straight & promising in the first 70-80%, then drops straight.....not even a hint of spin. I am definitely going to give it more time in the bag - say 10 rounds, so hopefully she starts performing. I bought the F2 for forgiveness & length, so far 1 of 2 aint so bad.......but the yard/ price ratio so far has not kicked in :-)......unlike its big brother D1s
  22. I have the crazy ute shaft on my trcs - out of this world. My ryoma f2 on crazy fw80 just arrived today - ready, set to go tomo. I will be comparing this to my trc bbd vs on fw sigma. The head of th f2 is, no kidding, 2x the size of the trc. Its huge
  23. Hi there, on look out fir new irons for 2012.....am an epon fan, using 302s & 502s. How do the yamahas compare to the epons in terms of playability, softness etc ? The tour looks like 302s & non tour looks like cavity 502s. Thks much
  24. I went from first generation TM utes to Adams, which i thought was amazing if you can get over the box like shape.......then i got the TRC 17 & 20 and shafted it with crazy ute shaft. Mid, boring flight, tight dispersion. The onyl thing with the TRC head was a clicky sound, but it didnt bother me much. TRC 20 deg is my 3/4i replacement, its also versatile - off fairway bunkers,chip/ punch off s**tty lies. Taking out the 3i ad replacing with a ute transformed my game. Like you said, you want fine dining, make sure you pair it with a good bottle.....in this case, a crazy shaft :-)
  25. Oh dear. I hv a ryoma vspec 9.5 on cb 46 7.2 as well. Also play epon 152 on longest yard. The ryoma / cb46 is aweome, it my gamer with 70 odd rounds, my FIR went from 58% to 75%s.........and am 15-20 yrds longer ( ss 105-110 ). Like eca, this post has got me going now - for those who have played LY, CB46 and Royal Dec........is there a huge diff or just from longer shafts? Thks
