These are probably the nicest iron covers I've seen. They even have an opening on the bottom to increase air circulation to prevent rust. Knowing my shoulder may not fully recover, I purposely only used the 8i in case I had to sell this wonderful set of Honmas. Do your Vizards feel comparable to your 125s as far as flex/torque is concerned? Do they play soft, stiff, or just about right? I have the 125s i my MB-5005s, so this will be a good baseline for me to go off of. Thanks again and appreciate your insight.

Laudney, Which Vizards did you go with; IB85, IB95, or IB105? And what flex? And can I ask your 6I swing speed? I've been looking at Homa for the last couple of weeks, but can't find any reviews on the Vizard iron shafts. Thanks. Joe

Wedda, I do still have my 302's and they are and have been my gamers since I bought them. It was love at first strike...lol Occasionally, I would take a few of my MP-67's, MP-52's and Titleist 990's to the range with me just to compare, and there was never any comparison, my 302's just outperformed them all. Not sure what it is, they are just made for my swing. In my first season with them, I shot my career low round, a 62 on a par 70 course. Granted, it was during a practice round before a big tournament, but the practice round was a big money game between 20 or so of us, so we played the round as if it was a tournament. Since that 62, I've shot a few 65s, and quite a few -3 and -4 rounds. This past winter was a long one, so being cooped-up in the house I got "shopping fever" and started looking at other irons. I ended up purchasing a set of Miura MB-5005s from TSG. When they arrived in February, they looked like the "holy grail" of irons and I couldn't wait for the season to start. I purposely waited until a month into the season before I brought them to the range and course, I wanted to ensure I gave them a fair evaluation. After numerous range sessions and rounds since the initial outing, I'm here to say I prefer my 302s. The MB-5005s are no slouch, but I just can't let go of my 302s. In fact, and this is no lie, just last week I was thinking of purchasing another set of 302s for strategic reserve, just the heads though. I haven't seen the SUS's in person, but they do look very nice. I might even considering getting a set of those heads if I can't find a new set of 302 heads. And full disclosure, I am not an Epon or Endo employee nor am I paid endorser...lol. Joe

I was going with the Modus 125, in X-Stiff. It weighs 129 grams. From my research, I would only lose about 1 swing weight point for every 9 grams in shaft reduction. Whereas every 1/2" adds 3 swing weight points, so it was the over length that was driving the swing weight, not necessarily the shaft. If you give your specs to Chris, he'll send it to Labo Spec and they'll let you know what the swing weights will be. That's what he did for me, anyway.

I was going to purchase the Kuro's and had my heart set on them, but since I need 3/4" over Japanese std, they wouldn't have been able to get the swing weight below D5, which is too heavy for me.

You can get them here with pretty much any shaft you want through the Labo Spec department. Send Chris an e-mail.

Looks like a reverse cavity back, in that the brown looks to be made of some type of lightweight material.

I wish I was able to play more as my Zero is 15 yards longer than my Titleist 913, but I just don't hit it as consistent as the 913 with my limited play. The Zero is in excellent condition and I estimate that I've played less than 20 rounds with it. The AD DI-6S was brand new when installed and plays to 45.5". The Iomic 2.3 has 5 wraps and is just under a traditional mid-size grip. Looking for $800 $725, $650 USD PP gifted. Will ship CONUS for free. Edit: Not looking to trade. Thanks, Joe

I'm currently gaming Epon AF302s and although I love them, I'm getting a little bored after 3 years. Does anyone have any recommendations on irons that have less offset than the 302s? Some irons that have piqued my interest are: Buchi MB (I can wait for them to get built) Honma TW717M Fourteen TC-888 ONOFF Forged Kuro I'm open to MB or CB and cost is not much of a factor. I'm playing to a 4 hdcp these days, if that helps. Thanks, Joe
