  1. Sold: this little lady is spoken for. Thanks to the buyer (a TSG regular) and to TSG.
  2. HI Carlo. Yes, the club is assembled. Been playing it since April. I'll get more pics of it tonight.
  3. Ryoma Premia 9.5 with Crazy Boron S1 shaft w/ two tree logo. Plays 45.25, not sure of swing weight. I believe head weight is 197g. Shaft was original, never pulled. Asking $675 + shipping. $SOLD Will take better pictures tonight. I hate this place. Before coming to this site I was a 1 driver every 2 years kinda fellow. Now i'm a pump and dump Ho. In the last 1 1/2 season I've gone thru 7 JDM drivers. Not proud of myself, but misery loves company. This Ryoma is a low bomber. Favorite driver for out west because the ground is hard and this thing rolls for days. The premia is advertised as softer than the d1 and vpec and a bit more expensive. I think this is the best feeling driver face I've ever owned and I will eventually buy another one, but at 10.5 degs. Have a maxima type G on it's way.. hoping it's as soft as the premia. Anyone compare the type G to premia? thanks for looking.
  4. Can I get an AMEN? This statement is spot on: The right price is the price that is agreed by buyer and seller. Good luck to the seller and lesson be learned, do some research before you buy to ensure you are not getting ripped off. One suggestion is for us as sellers to not remove the price from BST posts after an item is sold. Although it does not reflect true sale price, it gives a good representation of list price. This would help both buyer and seller.

Surprised this isn't gone (guess people are either falling asleep (Asia) or haven't woken up (PDT)), hell of a price. I had an SYARD for a bit. Sold it to keep my ryoma and starting to regret. GLWS.
  6. Man Carlo, this 405D is bad news. I spent $$$s on a ryoma,bm 435, and had an syard, and just couldn't put this 405d in the bag even though it performs. I guess I'm stupid like that. Feel idiotic playing a club a I paid so little for, when I have my $$$ drivers sitting on the shelf.. I know.. stupid right.
  7. I bought a cheap Yamaha 405d. Thing goes straight and long. Easy to hit, hard on the ears. Loud loud loud.

I have a D1 premia in 9.5 with a crazy boron and that thing kills worms. It is intimidating to look at sometimes because it literally looks like no loft. If I could do it all over again, I would definitely get a 10.5. The reason why I went searching for another $$$ drivers is to get a bit more hang time. The 435 is 10deg. It is harder to hit, but I wouldn't say it's horrible in terms of forgiveness. For me mid-high rockets but I think my right shoulder is lower at address than the average. I honestly think it's more forgiving than my two Yamahas. I have a cb50 7.4 crazy in the 435 and it's much more boardy than the boron. Oh, one last thing.. The premia is soo soft. Awesome feeling at impact. Like you're hitting a marshmallow. Hope we're helping and not creating more indecision for you.

You're making a smart choice techbase2000. I have a Ryoma D1, SYard 388 Crazy 435, and a couple of Yamahas and the longest of the long is the Crazy 435. It is a little bit harder to hit than a Ryoma, but distance is unmatched. I see you are using a 9 deg Yamaha. In general, higher lofted clubs tend to be a bit easier to hit. Have you considered a 10.5 Ryoma? You might lose a little distance, but from a forgiveness standpoint, the Ryoma is pretty hard to beat.
  10. Thanks for the kind words Robb40. I ended up getting a CB50 in 7.4 in my 435 and it's a tad bit stiff, but I think I can handle it. Hope your two 435s are treating you well. You still have the white 435 right?
  11. For sale, two items: Sorry folks, SYard is sold. Syard 388 9.5deg with Fubuki K 63 stiff, original headcover included. Around 45.25in. Will measure tonight for exact length. - $old Yamaha v201 10deg with Roddio Pentacross s6, no headcover. Will send it with a TM r9 headcover for protection Around 45in. Will measure tonight for exact length. - $250 $220 net to me + shipping (probably USPS) Not much hype needed for the Syard 388. I'm getting rid of it because I have two good drivers for my swing (Ryoma Premia - low; Crazy 435 - high) and I can't afford to keep this one laying around unused. Definitely a fairway finder with lots of rollout. I took this guy to a simulator and was getting ~+2mph on swing speed, ~+5mph ball speed compared to my Ryoma. It's a very nice club. Just a little back story. I'm a lurker on this forum. I pulled the trigger and acquired both a JBeam 435 (crazy black 7.4) and this Syard. I'm always looking for distance. Honest truth is, 435 is the longest of the long for me. It's actually not even that close. Maybe 15yds on Ryoma and Syard. Not sure if this is going to help me sell the Syard, but for those looking for distance, I can't complain about the 435. Yamaha is a nice brand, but for me, these clubs have nothing on Ryoma or Jbeam or Syard for that matter. Ryoma is so soft... Jbeam is sooo long. Roddio shaft is nice. This pentacross shaft originally retailed for around $600 (i believe). It's a hard to find shaft and overall a good club. At this price, someone who loves Yamaha or wants to try JDM might find this as a good buy. thanks for looking. Syard Yamaha
  12. If the ST can't handle +100mph, any recommendations on a high cor driver? I bought a Yamaha 405D and I have to say, I really like this driver, it' goes far, and when flushed, it goes really far. It's a bit of a dated driver, so i was hoping to try a newer high cor. GIII? Romaro?? Kamui Ray?? thanks
  13. Never putted a epon, but I have 3 Yamadas. A Heritage v3, a Kamakura, and this guy, a Yamada Classic. The Yamada classic is hands down the softest of the 3 and the softest I own; I have an odyssey protype that is also surprisingly very soft. The classic has an insert and I don't know the material, but it makes it buttery. Overall the putter feels lighter than the other 2 Yamadas and is my favorite for fast greens.
  14. I'm thinking of adding a ryoma special tuning to the bag. I have a premia / crazy boron now and really like the club, just not getting a very good ball flight (low, practically no carry). and figured I might as well try the ST. I've read that the Ryoma ST is not designed to handle higher swing speeds and could potentially crack because the face is so thin. I remember reading a post about how they wouldn't let Stew hit any more balls because they thought he might break it. So my question, who's using this club now and what's the max swing speed. I'm somewhere between 105 and 110 mph and I would say my average swing is probably closer to 105, 106 than it is 110. Am I a fool for putting dollars into a head that might last only 2-3 months? Really interested to hear feedback from owners and whether its worth my gamble. thanks. Tom.
  15. I have a 9.5 premia with a crazy boron and I can't get this thing airborne. I'm usually a mid to high ball hitter and I consider my premia / crazy boron combo a low launcher. Played in Phoenix in April and was getting tons and tons of roll. I feel the boron is low launching. I do like the crazy boron nice shaft. good feel, better for me than the gd's
  16. I play these wedges in their 'natural' state, 53 and 59 with x100s and absolutely LOVE THEM. I think they were originally setup with a super light swing weight, something like c3 or c9, can't remember exactly. The grind on the 59 works great for me, and just an added bonus, these are 99.9 percent pure iron, super soft. Whoever buys these will enjoy them.
  17. Ah.... railway sleeper.. got it. I thought this some swing weight adjuster or something.. thanks
  18. thanks Stew. I just got shafted up a 9.5 Premia with a crazy boron shaft and I'm hitting line drives.LOW. I'm usually a high ball hitter, but can't seem to get this thing to my desired mid-traj. What is this 'railway sleeper' Stew speaks of?

I have a set of 5002s and for some reason, I think the pw, 9, 8 have a bit more offset than my callaway x-protos. They have nasty shafts in them that I'm trying to convince myself to reshaft. I've hit them, and I read a lot of love for Miura, but dare I say, the callaways feel..softer. Is that possible?
  20. probably a crazy boron or gd bb.
  21. Thanks in advance for your responses. I have been offered a chance to purchase a Kamui Ray Thunder non-conforming head, but it's an 11 degree head. I play US OEMs at 9.5 and have both my Yamaha v201 and v440 at 10 degrees. Oddly enough, my v201 and v440 look like they are different lofts, with the v440 flying higher. I've read on this forum that the ryoma ST goes higher than the standard and wanted to know if the Kamui Hi-Cor also flies higher than normal. A 10 in Yamaha is almost perfect, I guess if I could tweak it, I'd go 1/2 degree up to 10.5. I'm really trying hard to convince myself that this 11 deg Kamui won't fly super high and cause a lost in total distance.. TSGers, convince me I'm good to go with this purchase. Thanks. Tom
