I think this one was one of TM's best. It was kind of a trend setter... as it has a slightly larger appearance than the traditional "Player's irons" BUT it has very little offset and great workability for the advanced players. (now you see more professional players going away from the tiny blades as more cavity/half cavity back "player's type clubs are coming out)
  2. I know there's so many choices, but Vokeys always has a sweet spot in my heart. :) Just something about them...
  3. I think that the Newer Yammies and RC live up to the older models, which I really liked. The newer models both have a new face, which i think does help a bit for spin control. For the Vokeys, I'm talking about the 2014 Cold Forged. It's no longer Endo forged, but it still lives up the the Vokey name! Great soft feel and overall performance. I think the 2014 Vokeys will be a top seller this year! Some of the loft/grind options are already seeing few days delayed shipment due to high demand! - If you see Tario aka gocchin's post, you can see all the details on this. Romaro has made a name for themselves for their quality irons and drivers, but their wedges are pure. I think their driver and iron presence kind of over shadows the wedges, but it is worth looking at, especially if you like the darker finishes.
  4. http://www.tourspecgolf.com/product_info.php?products_id=5558 I agree with the some of the other peeps. This one is definitely worth looking at! Has that rounder shape you are looking for. Also like the Bold and the Romaro Ray SX, which kind of flys under the radar. And theres always those Vokeys!
  5. The concept behind these remind me of the original Adams "Tight Lies" woods. They both set up good! If you don't look at it straight on at the face, they look normal.
  6. Finally, available to all! :) Very clean cut, looking forward to trying it out! The rounder look may take some getting used to since I'm a Vokey kind of guy... http://www.tourspecgolf.com/product_info.php?products_id=5558
  7. They are great quality irons with soft feel. Very easy to control and work like the blades. I'd say not too much forgiving than the TC1000, but then again a little bit goes a long ways in golf!;) Yonex has been kind of an underrated bran, when Ryo was with them, there was alot of buzz, but now it fizzled out. Would be nice to see them make a come back... like the good ol Mickelson days.
  8. Titleist never lets us down with their wedges! Always versatile easy on the eyes. These new ones seem to get a bit more zip around the greens than the previous Vokey Forged! Love...
  9. After further inspection.. I think this line up is going to be one of my favorites for 2014! Overall, appearance and performance! I can't wait to compare it to the new Taylormade TP models coming up! I suspect they will be a stiff competition with the TM's. :) Thinking of which one of the MB's I should put in the bag this year.
  10. The 2014 Yamaha line up looks great. I do see some similarities in the concept of the RMX Forged and the 2013 ONOFF Forged, but they are they are very different when you see them up close. I personally like the RMX Forged over the ONOFF from looks alone. And the MB... I am loving... maybe throwing them in the bag for 2014! :) The irons have been hot sellers since they were released! Yamaha's looking to have a great 2014 with the new stuff!
  11. Wow! The Power! Did you break the face of the driver too!? ;)
  12. Nice Rob! I'm a fan of jBeam drivers. I tried many other drivers, but it's hard to find another like it. Its not the most forgiving, but I like how it gives me great feedback. When hit well, it's like no other... feel, distance,...When I first tried jBeam drivers, few years back, I immediately noticed the extra roll on my good shots!
  13. I'd say that the ONOFF is a better choice for forgiveness. It is much easier on your hands on off center hits. The Yamaha is still forgiving, but does no live up to the ONOFF forgiveness. it does have an edge on workability. If I had to choose, I'll go with the ONOFF. I like the bit lower flight compared to their previous model and LOVE the new face on it.
  14. Probably the most spinniest wedge out today, without it being illegal. Price is up there, but you can save on all the golf ball not getting chewed up! ;)
  15. This one's an eye catcher on the course for sure! It looks line no other bag! It's high quality and stylish! We had some requests for matching covers and shoe bag so its up in the shop now. It's a pricey line up, but would be cool to have an all matching denim bag, cover, and accessories.
  16. This one is great off the tee as well. It's always a good one to have when the driver's acting up. I like the traditional and clean shape it has. TourStage always does a great job!
  17. I like how it appears very compact at address, while actually having great forgiveness. Good for boosting confidence! :) The compact appearance makes it appear very easy to control.
  18. Hunter looks like he had a bad week! And Furyk... maybe he just has to time when he takes the 5 hour energy... maybe after a few holes so he can last the whole round. lol
  19. LoL. Looks like Keegan is not getting much love. Those are all good picks. I'd add Matt Kuchar in there too. I would really like to see Luke win his first Major though. By the way, I got some friends at the Masters so can't wait to see live pics from them. :)
  20. The requests are in... Great deal for this quality wedge! :)
  21. Here's the 2013 Masters Logo Srixon Ball...To get everyone in the mood. lol Comes in a cool looking box! http://www.tourspecgolf.com/product_info.php?products_id=4948
  22. I think you can work in the wedges first if anything. As for irons I think going with something smaller than the 702 would be a good way to work into the muscle back irons. Maybe try a smaller cavity back first:) You can prepare for the muscle backs!
  23. Both the Yams and Personals are very soft feeling and quite forgiving for blades. I agree on both not being distance producing. If feel and control are your main concerns they are amazing!
  24. The "clicky"ness and the direct feedback seems to be getting a thumbs up from the staff players. It is easy to tell apart from the good shots and slight off center hits. When it's off center, you know right away, but you have that slight ease of mind knowing that its got a bit more forgiveness than a straight blade:)
