  1. I think blades feel more "pure" when struck perfectly because there's more mass right behind the ball at impact compared to a perimeter weighted iron...at least that makes sense to me.
  2. Can you explain your thoughts on this a little more as I was thinking it's the exact opposite. The 302 has a slight muscle just behind the sweet spot while the 316 has the thinner top line and less offset that "players" prefer.
  3. That's a big part of why I play a longer shaft and softer flex that my swing speed dictates. It helps keep my tempo in check so I can't over swing if I want results.
  4. No change in feel or sound. The early drivers weighed in at +1ish gram so I'd imagine the fw's are even less. On the very first drivers they were more stealth with the ghosted prints like the 3w and ute and I didn't notice it at all during address. The above driver was the first with a dramatic paint job and after the 3rd or 4th swing I never noticed it again. I hit a few with the 5w last night and once at address the graphics don't even register.
  5. Lol...unfortunately I'm out of woods!
  6. Lol! Just double up on your Low-T patches and you'll be killing it again! ;)
  7. These are all painted/airbrushed, no film or wraps. He's a truly gifted artist!
  8. It's way too difficult to capture these without a real camera or proper lighting so please forgive the dismal pics!
  9. Finally completed the set and picked up my Yami 5w from my buddy. Maybe I should do a group pic! :)
  10. As I've mentioned many times, I play all my drivers at 47" and have for years. Along with that, I play what's considered to be a rediculously heavy swingweight, from E0 to my latest F3. I can't say my methods will work for everyone but at least there's one person on planet Earth that has experimented with my theory and come to the same conclusion...the longest the club that you can hit consistently and the heaviest swingweight that doesn't cost swing speed will give the longest drives!
  11. Cool! Make sure to post the article for those of us that don't have access to Choice.
  12. Anyone record it?
  13. It's easy to agree with Tom's logic...when he's not bashing JDM or passive aggressively pushing his own chinese clubs. I know I'm a huge minority when it comes to my driver/wood specs so it's nice to see he's now recognizing there are exceptions to his logic as some players simply perform better with clubs built "outside the box".
  14. No...copper colored Monacos in these = pure porn!
  15. I can't believe these keep moving...mine will never leave my sight!
  16. These are moving again? Spoon, buy these back and put an end to the madness. They need to get out of foster homes and go back to their real parents!!!
  17. His background was from the factory/custom motorcycle paint industry but I know they've moved into clear coats that are more aimed at the golf club industry. It's not off the shelf stuff and they have a commercial account with their supplier. When he shared the progress he was making with his paint jobs all he would say is that their clear coats now come from a company that supplies major oems.
  18. My only instructions were to stick with the Hawaiian theme...he's the artist so I left it up to him.
  19. Thanks guys! Bill, my buddy does the work for me. ;)
  20. Sticking with the Hawaiian theme. As usual, the pearl/metallic flake doesn't show well on camera but it's a subtle beauty this one!
  21. Damn I wish I was still in ho'ing mode! Glws ;)
  22. Ok, let's get this going! I've got a Miura KM-350 on a 33" Frequency Filter shaft and white Iomic grip or an Odyssey Black Series Tour Designs 1 Wide on a 33.5" stock shaft with a Kango Gripmaster. I want to try a Bettinardi Studio Stock Model 12 on a 33/34" shaft. So who wants to trade? :)
