this ball could be worth a try as your statement sums up my feelings about the original penta (which i game now). the penta is the only ball i've liked since the original gen 1 prov1x.

titleist has done this and it's pretty good for the most part. unfortunately it only compares usdm's.

been fighting the urge to get the pro forged blades for a while now and that picture doesn't help!!!

you may find that the proper shaft may be what you're looking for. in one driver i have a royal deco and you simply can't hit it left. in another i have an ly-02 and plays the perfect draw.

awesome find stew! my seiko black monster cost about the same and is one of my favs. to be honest, it gets just as many compliments (if not more) than anything else i own!

the aerotechs are mid trajectory and there's no reason you couldn't adjust the lofts on the 502's to bring the flight down if needed.

it won't have the best feel out of jdm drivers but it delivers the best performance and might have the profile you're looking for. the jbeam or crazy original 435!

best ball since the original pro v1x imho. i've got a tm connection so i still have access to these at $20/doz!!!

i don't have a list but i know kamui works, ryoma, and romaro have hi-cor drivers. i just listed a nearly new kamui works for sale recently...

this is a 7 year old thread...there are plenty of drivers now offered at .88cor!

if we can figure out who actually makes them for epon i think the rest will fall in place...

my cigar smoking has nothing to do with relaxing...i just think golf and cigars make a good combo. a round of siglo iii or siglo vi usually make their appearance when playing with good friends.

i have the aerotech i125's in my epon af-tours and they're a pretty good set. i actually didn't expect to like these shafts as much as i do and think they're as good as any steel shaft for most players. my swing speed and distances are almost spot on with yours so i wouldn't worry about the weight or flex but i would be concerned with the finished length those clubs are built to. the aerotechs seem to go harsh if played at the shorter japanese standard so i'd highly recommend them be built at least to 1/4" over the american standard (38" 5iron). if you can get used to that length the clubs will reward you beyond your expectations.

i posted over there but i'll chime in here too. the monacos are so well balanced that i think you'll swing these with very little concern. as far as a comparison between the aerotechs and monacos, i have the i125's in my af-tours so i'm probably not a good person to ask regarding the i95's.

yeah, once people hit these they tend to fall in love. i still think i prefer c-tapers but i doubt i'll sell my monacos any time soon.

i have a ust/mamiya axivcore red series 69 that i'd let go for a good price. i have several and these are my favorite shaft outside of high end jdm.

i would only submit that it's not just a crappy shaft that can make an amazing head feel bad...but simiply the wrong shaft for you. i tried the graphite design ad-di7 in my kamui and i felt like i just lost my wallet with a grand in it. by all accounts, there's nothing crappy about that shaft but it simply didn't work for me. out of frustration i put in a cheapo (by jdm standards) ust/mamiy shaft and the kamui became the best feeling bomber i've ever played!

i have a crazy royal deco in mine and will absolutely not go left...it just plays a piercing power fade all day long!!! too bad it didn't work for you...

bumping this up as i'm now open to possible trades. i have a few preferences but i might be open to any high end jdm 18* 5w and also interested in romaro pro or h forged irons 4-pw. i also have a set of soft stepped stiff nippon sp blues that i recently pulled. if there's any interest i can post pics and price.
