Lexus vs Merc
Miuramaniac replied to TourSpecGolfer's post in a topic in Out of Bounds: Lifestyle, Luxury, Autos, Hobbies, High Tech GearI never got the AMG thing on the big Benzes. Recently sold a CL600 that ran like a bat out of hell (TT V12) but had all the comfort you could ever want. AMG just puts a little more power in the engine (except for that V12 I had) and brakes and some stiffer legs and people think they have a sports car. Please. If I want a car that big, I don't want to bounce over RR tracks. I recently picked up a '13 CLS550 after being told the AMG CLS were done being made for the year. I'm glad I didn't wait. 90-95% of the performance with a better ride. This one was a special one designed for the sales manager that was painted white, with red brake calipers, and red and black interior. When he told me about it I said "no, thanks", but when I saw it I drove it home that day. I do like the AMG versions of the C- and E-class, and sometimes the CLS, but the S and CL, not that much. And the G? Please, AMG on a G-class is an oxymoron.

SOLD
Just out of curiosity, why are you selling already? I almost pulled the trigger on one of these but just can't seem to hit the 460's nearly as well as say the T.388 or Yamaha Tour at 415 cc's. Tried a bunch of big ones, Tourstage, Yamaha 455, RBZ Stage 2, RomaRo 460, Miura SIT, buncha others. Always go back to smaller heads. Maybe it's just me and you bought an extra one you just don't need, IDK.

Really need your help - which shaft for the Maxima Type V?
Those pic's are clearly victims of shutter roll. Even video cameras have shutters. And this cam apparently has a slow shutter speed. Using a Casio or other cam with high-speed shutter and at least 120 fames per second would give a totally different view of this shaft at different positions. Those pic's look like a magic tick.

Srixon 725 Forged Iron Pics
That's a great-looking iron. Can't say I'm digging the grainy texture in the middle section on the back or the "forged" stamp on the sole, though. Other than that, very sexy. I could game that easily, but I've never hit a Srixon iron. Tried to find some ZTX-2's, no luck.

Post Your Ryoma Maxima Review Here!
I'd like to hear what you think down the road with these drivers. I'm flipping between the Yam 202 Tour and 203 Tour at the moment. Tried both SYD's, Romaro 460, and some others but don't want to plunk down another grand or so to just be disappointed. I think the Yam's are the best-feeling, straightest drivers I've hit and would just as soon leave well enough alone unless there's drastic enough difference in the length and forgiveness to get over the looks and feel of the Maxima.

Number 6 S Yard T 388
Miuramaniac replied to Craig's post in a topic in Out of Bounds: Lifestyle, Luxury, Autos, Hobbies, High Tech GearAll I know is that if a Yamaha '12 or '13 Tour model is not in your top 5 your list has no credibility.

S-Yard XV vs T.388 vs XT - Official Comparison Thread!
I'd be wary of this shaftin SR if you're over 95-97 MPH. After a lot of testing with both the SR and S, the SR is softer than has been occasionally mentioned here. Much testing and CPM measurements bear this out. The S plays similar to an S in a Tour AD BB.

SOLD Yururis
Not that much. Sorry. Thx for asking.

SOLD Yururis
Ha! I felt like I never found the face with these. Maybe the shaft/flex didn't suit me. That PW's got ball marks all over the whole face.
-
SOLD Yururis
Std. length I believe. 35.5" PW, 1/2" longer each up the set is how they were supposed to be built. Didn't check them, builder says they are D2, with PW D3-D4.

Mint set, 3-PW. Some haven't been hit, most have been hit less than 100 balls. Standard lie, loft, shafted with S flex Aerotech 110's. Red Nowon No. 1 grips. Couple of scratches on the bottom of the 9, cosmetic only, can't feel it. $1,000 probably gets 'em.

Question for Mr. Kobayashi on his driver designs
All you have to do is look at that pic of K-san at impact to see why the lie angles are 60*. And that's still probably not upright enough for that swing. Most amateurs are close to that steep with their hands if not more. It's a pet peeve of mine also as my hands are much lower at impact (at least I TRY to have them lower). I can manage with a driver usually and adjust but it gets harder with the FW's to get good contact off the ground with upright lie angles.

S-Yard T.388-which shaft?
Thanks for the info! Found one with SR flex shaft on BST and am gonna give it a go. Hope it works as well for me as for you.
-
S-Yard T.388-which shaft?
Well my swing is neither controlled OR aggressive right now! Just bought a 10.5 with S/R shaft on BST, just hope to get a better feel and flight with it. Gonna shoot it out with the the .388 with the S shaft, a '12 Yam Tour w/Tour AD BB6S, a RomaRo 460 with Tour AD BB6S, and a Miura 10.5 SIT with Tour AD DI6S. Should be fun. BTW, does anybody know how to pronounce RomaRo? Accent on first and third? Or on the second, like the guy that played the Joker, Cesar Romaro? Oh wait, that was Romero.....smh

S-Yard T.388-which shaft?
Thanks for the advice, but I doubt you're getting 230-240 carry and 260 or so with 93MPH. Had my SS a few yrs ago and was always between 97-100, and my yardages are still the same. And are all in line with the Trackman charts I've seen that have the different SS's, clubs, and carry distances under the 100MPH column. But maybe I'll try the SR. Have always played stiff, regulars feel flimsy.
-
S-Yard T.388-which shaft?
So I got this driver a few weeks ago and can't feel the love for it yet. For you guys that have/have hit this driver, which flex have you tried on the standard shaft? I got a stiff, I've always had good luck with Tour AD DI's and BB's in stiff. This was offered in S and SR. Is the S like a strong stiff and the SR is a weak stiff? I just assumed the S was a regular stiff. IDK, maybe I just need to swing it better. Probably 98-100 SS, carry driver about 230-235 or so when I hit one solid normally.

TourStage X-Blade 909 MB Pictures
Great write-up, those look exceptional! Is there any way to get an address pic of the PW? Those are often make or break for me.

Syard T388 Another Superb Round
So you got the SR shaft and are hitting it 270-380? WOW. I know you meant 280, but what is your swing speed and did you consider the stiff as well?

Ready for the Masters! ball
Rory showed something this weekend. He might be up there as well. And Keegan is hard to like even if you ARE American!

what would you change if designing the af303?
less offset, all satin is all it needs

he's really VP of sales for TSG. Every time I read one of his posts, I'm spending more money. Nice job, VP.

RomaRo 460HX
Damn you guys!! I think all of you work for TSG and just post all this stuff on here so I'll buy another driver, fw, or set of irons. Every time one of these posts comes up, I'm reflexively reaching for my wallet and heading to the Pro Shop section. Stop it!! lol, well not really, crying is more like it
