it's about feel too. sure you can swing lighter clubs faster but if it consistently puts you in the wrong position and you hit it off center then a heavier club hit on center consistently will still go farther every time. there's a balance in how light you go. if you want lighter clubs why isn't everyone on the pga swinging women's clubs or seniors clubs? i think sbeaz tried the 50g shaft and it failed miserably.

Well he did say he didn't want to do lessons. ;) I think 1) lessons or 2) go get a full fitting done. It's not always just about swing speed but could be transition or if you're a hitter vs swinger. Shallow vs deep. Etc. Lessons will take longer to implmenet the adjustment/changes. Fitting will tell you what you should get with the swing you have today.

i had a set of miura 501s with ctapers in stiff flex. i really liked the feel (yes, unique) and they were really low penetrating flight. only problem was getting them to stop on the greens especially on long irons like 4-5 irons into long par 3s. basically not enough spin to hold. i may try them again after the season is done. just can't figure out which stiffness.

fyi it's .370. i found out the harder way of buying a .355. it worked bc the epoxy filled up the hosel but seemed a little loose. .370 is the right fit.

does anyone know the hosel size for the epon i33 (second release, if it matters)? i need to replace the shaft to get the length to 35". also any suggestions on shafts?
