  1. I bought a 9.5 KPX with a Fubuki Alpha 70S in it from yourpressed...played 18 holes with it today after getting used to it on the range and hit all but 1 fairway walking 18... including 2 of the longest drives at my home course I have ever had...and it has been raining almost every day since Friday so it is NOT firm. I am baffled by how much rollout this setup gets. I need a stouter shaft..I wasn't even able to go balls out with it and still had huge drives... But on controlled swings I was hitting mid-height rockets that carried farther than they looked like they would and rolled forever. Most of them had just a little baby draw on them. I was continually amazed where I would find the ball relative to where I thought it was going to end up. I even hit a couple a little too close to the heel that seemed like they wouldn't amount to much but there they were out there 275-285 in moist conditions. It is also incredible into the wind. I hit the ball on 2 holes directly into a strong headwind that ended up where my drives normally end up on that hole. After examining the ball marks on the face, it is remarkable with this smaller profile head how closer I hit the sweet spot on average than I did with my R11S/Phenom 70 TX. I don't know if it a mental thing or some of the torsional stability of the Fubuki Alpha even though it is considerably less stout and higher torque. I am kicking around the idea of throwing a p9003x or maybe even a FEX x in it so I can swing away. But if I do that the guys in league next year are gonna wonder if I have been hanging out with Lance Armstrong. :) Feel and sound is muted compared to all the USDM drivers I have played in the past. It really doesn't have a lively feel where when you hit one well you know it instantly. Very understated and laid back, softer. It really doesn't feel that hot but then you look up and see the cover of the ball desperately trying to cling to the mantle of the ball as it screams down the fairway. Definitely an interesting stick that takes the left side out of play for me, which I needed, and goes WAY FAR. Can't wait to try a different shaft in this to bomb it and it just might be the holy grail for long long long fairway finders.

Swiss just bend the 52 weak and voila! a full set with good spacing

I just got an email from Adam Barr saying to pick up milk, eggs, and sugar on my way home. I must be on the wrong email list. ;)

Lol I have new exact same wedges coming ups today. Had I seen these I could have saved a lot of money. GLWS
  5. Im currently building a Ryoma/Crazy combo and I've been worried about the same thing. I tend to hook my misses and it seems perhaps with the high gravity angle it exacerbates the issue for certain swing types. I got an anti-left shaft so I'm hoping it washes out. I just got a KPX that's pretty hard to hit left and if the Ryoma doesn't work out the Crazy will go in the KPX. GLWS

Probably... But it won't stop you from wondering what it would have been like had you gone JDM. ;) I think you'll probably get a lot of similar answers my guess being the Ryoma, Yamaha, and Epon (non zero) getting a lot of nods for being long forgiving and having tremendous feel. I had a kamui pro kpx show up today that I really really like. Needs a stouter shaft but the performance is great. I tend to hook the ball and it is very anti left. Very understated impact sound as well.
  7. What a shame. Nice sticks! Got the KPX today she's a beauty.
  8. I was planning on having my Crazy shafts all done with SST but maybe not. Which way should I align the shaft graphics for Crazy shafts on my woods?
  9. Chris, It's obvious you are leaning towards not pursuing the SST lease. However, if I were in your situation selling extremely high end components and finished clubs, I would consider it a no brainer to get on board with it. The fact of the matter is that when dealing with the relatively large purchase price of the shafts, the extra cost to pure them is fairly nominal. The people who patronize this site and your store are very exacting folks who want the very best and know everything is perfect. Even handmade shafts of the best materials can have slight variances depending on shaft orientation on install. Whether they are within the bounds of making a noticeable difference for us amateur golfers is definitely up for debate, yet I would certainly be willing to pay $50-75 to "pure" a $500+ shaft just to have the mental confidence in knowing everything is as right as can be. Others may disagree but when you get into this level of quality and price, I think the process is an easy upsell that can generate more revenue for you while providing those who opt for the service a higher level of peace of mind. People spend hours on monitors testing various club heads and shaft combinations to find the right combination of distance and dispersion. It's fairly well established that the process improves dispersion on some level, and it would seem that the longer the club the more positive difference it would make. I obviously don't know what your sales volume is on shafts but I would guess at least 50% of the customers here--as discerning as they are--would opt for the service given its a fraction of the cost of high end driver/FW/UT shafts. And for me the little up charge is well worth the little confidence boost that would come with it.
  10. I LOVE the putter but I just can't get on with it after 10 years with a face balanced putter. And it is starting to change my stroke and I don't want that either. The balance and feel of the Miura are amazing...the other problem, for me, is that I am not consistent enough hitting the sweet spot. Putts on the sweet spot are smoked and slight mis**ts go halfway. I really didn't struggle from alignment as much as distance control due to an inconsistent stroke/incorrect stroke type for the putter.
  11. Well I succumbed to the reviews and bought one. I need anti left badly and am interested to see how this baby performs.
  12. My very first thought was to go really long, stupid long...47-48" long. I mean you've got tons of other fairway finders. Build something monstrous. I bet if you played with it long enough to adapt you'd figure it out. I borrowed my brothers driver (ping g10) with stock stiff shaft in it and was hooking everything something fierce. (Normal driver has been R11s with real RIP phenom 70 tour x) But after 20 balls and some adjustments I was hitting it dead straight albeit way too high. Can't wait for the results. Just give me warning before range session to put boards over my windows!
  13. Bought the Miura from Swisstrader. Once the honeymoon wore off I realized I have too much of a straight back straight through stroke to use it like its meant to be used. Miura grip and head cover. Small nick near hosel otherwise perfect. 33". $SOLD shipped US obo. Shaft: Never used still has $275 price tag on it. Was originally prepped with a Nakashima tip but was professionally pulled. $60 Obo shipped in US.

    Preferably 53* Thanks
  15. Any way to get some face pics?

Never played the 208s but the 210s I just got are super nice. Much larger head than my Miuras so more forgiving and easier, but not as good in the cabbage. Win some ya lose some. Great seller.

Boy that's a beauty, too bad I don't really need anything like that....Good seller!
  18. Loft on the 2 dot? Bounce? Looking for a super aggressive high spin wedge for short sided shots and bunker play.

I've read that...it is part of the reason I went with a V Spec since my kiss is on the toe. I've got a Crazy 519 Proto on the way to put in it...hope I get to give it a go before the snowballs start flying!
  21. GREAT seller. Surprised this is still around. Doesn't quite fit what I need but a great stick indeed. This thing is $200 under the money.

Looking for a real high bounce sand specific wedge but this is the same as my Epon. Thanks for your time.
  23. I had mine built at pure impact golf studio in suburban Detroit. Really neat place. Chris is a great builder. But that isn't any easier than Toronto.
  24. I'd kind of like one of the Fried Eggs for a dedicated sand club.
