The best wedges Endo has ever made?
Underrated, but I love my Epon 210KGX wedges. They play great. Feel is perfect, good turn interaction. The only negative is that the spin is average. Course all wedges are average in spine after playing Yururi's.

New Quadrafire Express Prototype 2014 ver. 1 "BLACK FIRE"
i have the FEX Max WBQ and like it so far. I haven't been playing it for very long, but so far, so good. I am curious to know what these all black writing versions are like.

jbeam435 --stinger
I have narrowed my driver selection down to essentially 3 that I will play. Crazy 435 with CB80 LS Noir shaft Ryoma Maxima D with Quadra Fire Express Max WBQ shaft SLDR 430 with Veylix Alpina 673 shaft Just started using the Ryoma for the first time this past week and really like it. The feel is great and it is plenty long for me. Had to buy the weight kit to get the weight up as I cut the shaft down to 44 1/4 inches. I can't comment on consistency yet, as I haven't hit it enough. The SLDR is getting benched temporarily for a lack of cooperation in my club championship. I have a feeling that I will be coming back to the 435 within the next month. It always seems to call to me when I am grabbing my clubs to go play. It is like the Sirens in Greek mythology.

Crazy 435 took some tinkering, but now it is working
He ended up putting in 6 gms of hot melt near the toe side to achieve a swing weight of D2. My club is 44.5 inches long. Unfortunately, I can't tell you which weights I have in the head since they don't identify them.

BALLS................!
What ball would you recommend for someone that has a driver swing speed around 104 mph and seems to play well with the Titleist ProV1x? Is there a better version of the Prov1x over there made by a different company?

Crazy 435 took some tinkering, but now it is working
Very true. Right now, I am hitting the SLDR 430 really well also. The only reason the SLDR is in the bag, is because it is new. I honestly don't know how to choose between the two. I find them to be very similar drivers. Funny how jBeam figured it out years ago, and TMAG is only just catching on to the technology and claiming it as new.

Taylormade Japan SLDR 430 Pics
I continue to hit this driver well. My well struck shots are 10 yards longer than my other drivers, and my shots with sidespin (hooks and slices) seem to be less pronounced and closer to the fairway than with my other drivers. I am still thinking that this is really similar to the Crazy 435 as I stated before.

Hutchy's Custom Gold's Putter
Wow. very cool. I wish I hadn't known that they could do stuff like this.

Driver
It may have something to do with my swing, or shaft selection. I am launching the 9.5 degree fairly high. In fact, yesterday I was thinking that I needed to thank Chris for steering me away from the 10.5 degree head. 9.5 is perfect launch angle for me. I used to like mid launch piercing drives, but I am into the higher launching bombs right now.

Driver
I have: the Ryoma D1 Type V, Crazy 435, and the SLDR 430. The Crazy 435 and the SLDR 430 actually play similarly. SLDR 430 is: low spin, low launching, decent feel, decent sound, not very forgiving, but very long. The Crazy 435: low spin, medium launch, so so feel, so so sound, not very forgiving, and very long. The Ryoma (new so haven't played it a lot yet) is: average spin, higher launch, great feel, nice sound, very forgiving, and average length. I love playing them all. On windy days, the Crazy or 430 will be in the bag. If the fairways are firm, then the Crazy or 430 will be in the bag. Otherwise, the Ryoma has a chance of stealing the starting spot. Need a few more sessions with it. I put a Quadra Fire Express Max WBQ in it and I really like this shaft as well.

Taylormade Japan SLDR 430 Pics
I am currently playing a 430 with a Veylix Alpina 673 shaft. They don't make a left handed 430 in the Japanese version as far as I know. Mine is 12 degrees, but probably could do with an 11 degree. I love this driver, as it gives me the lowest spin of any of my drivers. It plays a little like the Crazy 435 in my opinion, long, low spin, not very forgiving and average feel. A great club to play in the wind. Just got my Ryoma Maxima D-1 Type V, so I am going to see if this can knock the SLDR out of the bag. Would much rather have a JDM driver in the bag if possible.

Crazy 435 took some tinkering, but now it is working
I have a SLDR 430 coming tomorrow and the Ryoma some time later this week or next week. It is going to be a tough competition for the starting spot in the bag. Right now, if I continue to hit the 435 as I did yesterday, I don't see either of the other two drivers making it into the bag. I have a club tournament on Friday and Saturday, so that will be the real test for the 435.

Crazy 435 took some tinkering, but now it is working
So I bought a Crazy 435 with a Crazy CB80 LS Noir 7.4 shaft almost 2 years ago. I was impressed with it's length, but felt like I really had to be on to hit it well. I wasn't really consistent with it, and didn't care for the feel and sound. I finally found a knowledgeable club builder here and asked him to cut it down to 44.5 inches, maintain a D2 swing weight, and hot melt it for sound and feel adjustment. My Adams XTD gamer has been benched, so I started hitting the 435 on the range, and playing it a few rounds in a row. I have now become much more consistent with it. I am finally getting comfortable with it and not forcing it so much. The sound and feel are better with hot melt; not perfect, but better. The performance improvement has been impressive. I teed it down and a piercing bullet into the wind today right down the fairway. I then teed it high and hit a high bomb downwind on a par 4 and got a hold of it and it went to a place I have never been before on that particular hole. In fact, I have trouble finding my ball as I wasn't looking far enough down the fairway for it. The very next hole, I corked one 300 yards, which I may do once a round with the right conditions. It may have just been one of those days when my swing was on, but I don't have those very often as I am typically inconsistent off the tee. Think of Phil Mickelson with an 8 handicap and that's about my swing. I am not about to claim this is the king of all drivers, but I am seeing it in a different light for the first time. I have toyed with selling it in the past, but now it has become a keeper. The funny thing is I just bought the Ryoma Maxima here on TSG and it shipped out today. Maybe the 435 knew what was coming and decided to try and keep it's spot in the bag before the Ryoma gets here.

Ryoma Maxima D1 Type D and Type V left handed!
So I just saw that Ryoma is finally making a left handed driver. I don't know much about it since they have never made left handed drivers. I have a Crazy 435 and like it for all the obvious reasons, but would love to find a driver with better forgiveness, sound and feel. I know I will be giving up distance on well struck shots, but, I am ok with that. My questions: How is overall performance? How does it perform on off center strikes? How is the feel? How is the distance? How is the sound? Thanks for your help!

Are they going to make the 535 in a left handed model?

poll: best fw shaft uve used....
Crazy FW 80 shaft. Love this thing. I have a Quadra Fire Express Max WBQ that has been sitting in my office waiting for a year for the right head to come along. I am thing about putting it in a SLDR, but I hate to give Taylor Made any of my money.

Resale value of irons
I have this set and love them. So far, the finish is holding up, but I have only had them for about 1 1/2 years. I do have a small ding on the 9 iron and you can see the steel underneath. I'm not sure that buying a $3000 set of golf clubs is consistent with the mentality of choosing whatever will hold it's resale value.

Copper craze
I have a set of those. I really love them. A very underrated wedge. Great feel and solid all around performance. The copper evolves with time and just continues to look better. A week after getting them, I hit a rock when hitting a shot out of the rough and put a huge gouge in the face, by the toe. Terrible luck.

I'm considering Mizuno yoro craft irons.
True. Wonderful clubs. I don't see myself ever selling these ones.

I'm with you on the Copper Epons. I love this set. If you want a head turner, that is seldom seen, consider the Copper Epons. Only down side is slightly more offset than I would prefer, but I have gotten used to that.
