  1. Greetings! Before I start ripping these apart, does anyone happen to know what the tip size is on the Fourteen TC510 and TC710 irons are? Cheers!
  2. Would love to see a good going over a Yonex. I fully admit, they're a brand that wasn't on my radar at all before and everything I've tried from them has been excellent. Also Kamui since I hear they're going to have a new driver model
  3. Be careful with the Steel Fibres. When you go between weight ranges, it's not just the weight that changes, but the entire profile. The 80's have a different shaft profile then the 95 and 110 series and the 125 is a different profile again. If you're looking for the same shaft profile as the Modus3's in the SteelFibres, then the i80 model is the way to go.
  4. Same specs. I asked Tatsuro about getting some and he mentioned it was a no go at the time. Geotech is offering them as mentioned previously, but you end with the Regio shaft as well (which I have no interest in). Might have to bite the bullet anyways...
  5. Excellent find Ian-500! Entirely skipped over them. Same fascinating option there...
  6. Greetings all, Hope everyone had a lovely holiday. While browsing the TSG shop as I'm wont to do frequently, I spied the Mizuno MP Craft 611. Now, while it looked nice and all, the thing that immediately caught my eye was that it could be ordered with a 56.5 lie angle, something I've been on the look of for. Aside from said Mizzie driver, are there any others out there that roll in around the 56 mark? For what it's worth, I'm both on the shorter side (5' 9"), play flat clubs already and like a short driver (43.5" max) so the lower lie angle in drivers/fairways/hybrids are musts for me. Cheers!
  7. If you haven't tried them out, I'd probably not go for them in something like the personals. The recoils are very much person dependant. In that regard they're very much like the Programs, Steel Fibre or Project X. You either love them or you don't and nothing done to them will change it. Not a bad shaft to experiment with, I don't think I'd do it with such a flawless head though.
  8. Usually route is to refit for a 3 wood shaft. Some people can play the same thing, some people can't at all. For the guys that tend to only use their 3 wood off the tee, typically they're making the same swing as they do with the driver, so keeping the same shaft makes perfect sense. For the guys who hit their 3 wood from a deck a lot, now we have to be concerned about elevating the ball for more carry distance. We also have to factor in a downward or level blow. These things tend to mean we're looking at something with at least a softer tip section if not a softer overall profile. Something else to mention specifically about GD shafts. The 7 model will play stiffer in the same flex rating as the 6 or 8 model (at least for the DI, DJ and BB that I've had profiled). For big swingers, going straight to the 7 makes sense. For anyone who prefers a 6 series and they want the same shaft in their fairway, they usually either go with a 6 again in the FW or jump the 8 depending on their distance vs control requirements.
  9. Similair profile to the Program 130's. Fairly different feel though. The Programs feel like other Matrix shafts. Muted feel but with that distinctive kick. The Recoils feel more like a Steelfibre, similair profile to the i110cw or a dynamic gold with a much stiffer butt (think dynamic gold performance with the same feeling through the tip and mid with the butt section feeling like a Project X).
  10. I seem to be alone but I sort of like them, at least the irons. The two tone is nice, they seem to have a pleasing head shape and they're still Epon's so it's not like they've become unpleasant.
  11. Greetings! Looking for a set of Epon RF551 irons of the 5-PW variety. Just the heads would be fine as well since I will probably reshaft. Cheers!
  12. It would require the lottery to do all at once, but over the next bit I'm looking at the following: Ryoma D1 + Kusala Black Egg Spoon + Attas 4U Egg Utility + Attas Irons TBD (Onoff Forged or Yamaha V Spec) Yurui Chili 51/57 Lajosi Custom
  13. Greetings all, Sorry if this one has been hashed out before, I just can't find much info. I've been giving a serious eyeball to the Onoff Forged 11 model as well as the 09 Forged + model. I've read some reviews here about the '11 version and it seems they've been pretty well received. I've also dug up the review the Gocchin did in 2010 that included the '09 model. While they're both good reviews, I was wondering if anyone who's tried both could comment if there's any discernible difference in performance or if it's mostly about ascetics?
  14. The closest steel shaft in weight with the same profile would be the DG SL's. Otherwise the EI profile of the i95 matches pretty much dead on with a standard dymanic gold/Nippon NS Pro 1150. The SL's wouldn't be a bad choice to test out as they suit those with a steady to slow tempo a bit better. You will likely find that you have to hard step the same flex of the SL's once to match the same flex as the Aerotech i95's. They tend to play stout to flex when looking at the same flex designation from a number of steel OEM's.
