this is a great example that its about swing type and setup and not swing speed. if i remember correctly, you have a faster swing speed than me(105-110) and i can launch the cb80ls noir perfecly with no issues and i dont tee the ball extremely high just about half the ball above the top line and i think what helps my launch is mainly with my setup(just inside my front foot and i hit up on the ball.

great review and im glad u found the right shaft for u. i love my combo as well and every time i step on the tee box i always wanted to pull the driver even on par 3s..lol

T, do you know if this is longer or just as long as the ryoma f3? do you think this is better overall(forgiveness and distance) than the F3? my currect F3 combo is the longest and most forgiving 3w i ever hit so im just curious if this is something worth trying.

yeah definetely not ballooning! i hit my longest drive playing from the tips yesterday. the roll and ball flight is fantastic. i missed 2 fairways out of 12. one miss went under the tree and the other was just on the first cut. now i can finally confirm that this thing beats the vspec in every aspect.

it does appear very slightly closed at address compared to vspec but i still dont think it has a closed face angle since my misses are still going left.

had a range session last night and brought my vspec for a head to head comparision and i for one can confirm that the type v has a higher ball flight but with that said im surprised because the trajectory is more penetrating than the vspec. i hit the 250yrds net at the middle with the vspec and on the type v i hit it at the very top and actually had a few that went over the net. i could already tell just from the ball flight that the type v is longer on both carry and roll compared to the vspec. this driver got me so excited last night that i moved my tee time from tomorrow to today after work..cant wait to see how this thing perform at the course.
