i can already tell if u want something super straight and still long then go with 388 or xv but if u want the ultimate long and forgiveness go with maxima.

if xv is not better than t388 then it cant beat my type v combo. i had the 388 with attas3 and it was straight but not as long as my vspec on mis**ts so it wont beat the type v on mis**ts since the type v is longer on mis**ts compared to my vspec.

got it. thats what i did too..i carried 2 drivers and used the 388 for tighter fairway but sold it when i got the ryoma f3 which goes 250-260yrds. i dont know why but the f3 handles the wind pretty good like the 388 but not the vspec. i hope the maxima plays better in the wind like the f3.

i would love to try that ichi version..hopefully soon since my x-evo are due for replacement. how do u compare this ichi version to the regular no1? i have the 50series right now.

this is my 1st time with No1 grip so we'll see if this will make me pull all my x-evolution.

im bringing both to the range today..im pretty sure i can compare the ball flight but not the roll since i can reach the net. i'll find out about the roll on thurs at the course.

are you taking it into account the length of each driver with the difference in distance?

thanks! yes i play the same shaft but in a softer flex(6.9) on the vspec and this new one 7.4. i launch the 6.9 pretty high so hopefully with this stiffer one will bring it down a bit.

got it put together today...cant w8 to hit it tomorrow at the range then bring it to the course thurs after work :)

got it. if i remember correctly i think it ships directly from ryoma when i got my F3 head but then again i could be wrong. but with crazy stuff im definetely sure it comes directly from crazy since thats where both my shafts came from.

i agree with the tee height that Chris mentioned...i for one tee it higher with the 388 and had success with it..with that said i just sold mine and looking to get a 10.5 388 or XV. anybody knows if the XV has a higher ball flight compared to 388. if im going 10.5 on 388 should i get the same loft on XV?
