Chuck, First and foremost, be advised that the 503s are stronger lofts. Do compare the lofts of the 503 over your next choice. Do you need that stronger loft in your new irons? I played the Yamaha D forged. The 7i has the loft of the 6i. i hit the 7 one club length further than my 302s 7i. Playing a less lofted iron set may affect your game as your approach shot may have changed from a, say 7i, to a 6i, for the new irons, should they not be stronger loft. And we all know hitting a 7i and 6i has differences Food for thought!
