  1. good question, would like to know as well who has experienced the two. Was thinking of pairing this shaft with the Aftour cb.
  2. thanks :) i generally hit the ball high on all the clubs, so the hk works well for me i guess. Also the 435ii is a pretty ow launcher, so thats a plus
  3. So I finally had some time to test the Crazy 435II w/ TJ-46 HK. I read several reviews on how the 435II was quite unforgiving and not so easy to hit well. However, from my two range sessions, trackman and on the course, I could say that this is one of the best combos I have ever had! A quick wrap-up, my SS is in the 100-105 range, launch angle at about 12.5-13.5. My current gamers were the Honma TW717 455 and Callaway Big Bertha Alpha 815 DB. I found on the track man that the ball speed increased about 2-3 mph, with similar numbers launch. I tend to tee up quite high, and hit on an upward blow, so the very deep face is welcome! Spin numbers dropped from an average of 2700-2800 to around 2400-2500... not much, but good enough! Runout was nice, and the land angle was shallower than before (i tend to land at a steeper angle). Overall, I think this is a very satisfying driver, and the Crazy TJ-46 HK Nero 7.5 proved to be a great choice for me. Quite stiff, but the it eliminates the left side for me, which is my main miss. The high kick shaft keeps trajectory quite boring and flat, ideal for me i think. The sound is a nice thwack and super solid. It is still an athlete's driver I think; really can't get too comfortable with it, and must hit it with conviction. When you do, it goes like stink! Long story short, I love this driver and would recommend it to anyone who loves the shape and "thwacking" feel of a driver like this. I think guys with SS above 115 MPH would bomb it like crazy! thanks for reading!
  4. Hi all, I've seen a number of people playing with the TJ-46 Noir, but never seen anyone mention the TJ-46 HK version. In HK I assume it's 'high-kick' and not 'Hong Kong' :). Anyways, would love to hear if anyone has hit this and how it compares with the more popular Crazy's, like CB80 LS and/or CB46 Black
  5. how does this shaft compare to the CB80 LS? Anyone experienced on this?
  6. Hi all, had a long lunch break today and decided to go do window shopping. Next thing you know, i handed over my money a second hand (I would say 90% condition) Crazy 435II 9.5* with the Crazy TJ-46 HK 7.5 shaft! I'm itching to hit it today, but seems time does not really allow so... been absolutely busy lately.. :( Anybody had any experience with this combo? There was another 435II as well, but with the CB-80LS 6.9, albeit a bit more expensive, and the condition was not as good. Love the looks though! These things look like they could do some serious damage to the little white ball. My SS tops out at 105, pretty consistently hit the face center (variations high and low on face, but not heel/toe prone) so the deep face is a big welcome. Gonna post pics later! Any thoughts on how this would compare? Currently gaming a Honma TW717 455 (Vizard) and Callaway Big Bertha Alpha 815 Double Black (Rogue Silver).
  7. the heaviest one 62 grams i think. I dont know, i wanted to like it, but somehow it didnt give me the control. Oh, its the 3-star one. im looking to get fitted for a new shaft. Looking at the diamana b60x an the quadda wbq.
  8. i tried the armrq8.. not my favorite though. When i bought it, trackman showed much better numbers with the vizard.
  9. yeah, i used the old epon irons before. The technity type j. These were before epons were well known in thailand. People would say all the time "what a stupid name" and "for that much money i would rather buy a set of callaways".. wtf
  10. i definitely love the head shape of the TW717, so i dont want to change that. Just want a shaft change to get the most out of my swing..
  11. it is indeed an addiction. For me its JDM all the way. The amount of time and care that is spent in making some of those clubs... wow. The passion that goes into some of these clubs is just worth it IMO
  12. True true! Since golf is such a mental game, whatever you do (buying hi end to give you that psychological edge), can always be good for your game! It works for me ;)
  13. hi all, show of hands to those who spend more time and resources on getting new equipment rather than actually playing (and practicing) the game we love? I for one can honestly say that the Equipment World has gotten me by the toes, and no matter how much I improve or worsen, new equipment still intrigues me. I've had many criticisms that i spend too much time buying and testing out new stuff, rather than working on my game, and lowering scores. I'm sure you guys have met these people as well.. For me, golf is a game of enjoyment, pure and unadulterated enjoyment, where one and a group of friends can hang out, enjoy the beauty of the game. More often than not, the equipment brings in the 'joy' factor, as well as the enhancing the beauty of this great game. Having the best equipment (for you) almost guarantees you have a good day at the course. Just by looking at the clubs we buy; it makes it all worthwhile. Of course I want to lower my score through sheer practice, but the satisfaction from using my gear also matters! So i ask you, where do you fit in?
  14. @ needmoregolf, definitely your logic is very correct!! The LV bag i got her exceeds $1800 by miles. @ Chris, not so used to buying shafts that expensive.. most expensive one was a roddio half a decade ago. But for sure you have my attention. If I am visiting JPN in the near future, would definitely consider to get fitted on location :)
  15. well... it starts to be an issue with the wife when a haute couture starts at 1800 USD :)
  16. although no longer a blade man, those Fourteens look sexy as hell. Clean lines, the feather, just drop dead beautiful. the mp4 also great in person.. somehow reminds me of the mp14 and mp33s of old
  17. Thanks, the shafts you mentioned are nice. Price point, not an issue. I just don't know if changing out the shaft on the honma driver will have a negative impact on the clubhead... don't have much knowledge on clubfitting. I tend to use pretty standard stuff. The quadra sounds interesting, been reading up on it a bit. I think the rogues, diamana x and kurokage are too 'big' for my SS. I hit a diamana x once, didnt like it.
  18. Hi fellow TSG'ers i currently use a honma tw717 455 9.5* driver with a vizard shaft. Although the distance and launch angle measured were fine, the dispersion and weight of the shaft could be better. The current shaft weight is 57 grams, which is a bit on the lighter side for me. The question is this: one of my friends remarked that shaft changing a honma driver is not advisable. What is the truth to this? My SS is around 102-106, with pretty average 150mph ball speeds, 14 deg launch and 2600-2700 rpm of spin. Want to get a tighter dispersion shaft with a bit more weight. That's why I was looking to get fitted for a new shaft.. but wanted your feedbacks on the validity of the above, and/or any recommendations. Thanks and happy ho'ing!
