Yes the GD MT6 works well with my PRGR EGG HD 14.5*. Nice low flight with a slight draw as this could be my mini driver. I have no regrets getting this over the S-Yard XV but still like the response everyone had about the S-Yard so I ended up buying a 5W XV and it's a beauty. Both are by fair the best fairway woods that I have ever hit or owned. Thanks TSG
  2. My 5 wood just arrived this week and you talk about a gorgeous looking club, this club could easily replace most 3 woods (OEM's) as my PRGR Egg HD is safe but this thing delivers distance with all the forgiveness I could ask for. Good for those 225 yds - 235 yd. Tee shots when the fairway is narrow. 210 -220 off the fairways with ease. Best 5 wood I've ever owned. Love the feel of the grip and the head cover looks so good. Thanks TSG
  3. So whats the verdict, is TSG now back to selling EPON's
  4. This is the 1st time ever owning a the PRGR Egg as I have the 3rd Gen. the HD model with a Tour AD MT6 shaft and all I can say is WOW! Just the other day golfing with a good friend I heard 4 times I can't believe it your out driving me with my driver. It's long and forgiving as I found the perfect 3 wood for my swing. It's almost as long as my Ryoma D-1 Type V with Crazy La Bomba shaft. Once the fairways start firming up I can see this always being my go to club on those narrow par 4's. I'm very pleased with this purchase. Thanks to everyone at Tourspec and Tatsuro.

I have a brand new barley used Leupold GX 3i still have the box with all the instructions in you are still interested? Let me know
  6. I wrote a bit about it on another thread titled New Egg Impression. It's one sexy looking club with the Tour AD MT6 shaft. Low launch nothing got higher than say 15' off the ground. A low missile launcher that will give me a nice roll once the fairways get firmer. The shaft feels stiffer in the middle and softer in the tip but very stable thru impact. Spin seems to be a mid spin as everything just seemed to want to go straight. I can see myself Tee'in off more with this 3 wood than any other 3 Wood that I've ever own as it's long with plenty of forgiveness.
  7. Well I just received my new EGG as it's the 14.5 HD model with Tour AD MT6 shaft and Wow! the 1st time in a while since I swung any clubs and I was very impressed. It's not Ryoma D-1 Maxima long but I've never hit any other 3 wood as long as I did this one to include my once own RBZ 13.5* with Attas Element shaft or Adams Super XTD TI 13.5* with Fubuki shaft. I did top 2 in a row and today I only hit off the matts as its still very soft and damp here in Ohio. Ball flight is right where I love it to be as I don't think the flight reach any higher than 15 ft. This is a straight missile launcher for sure. Sound was good and it felt very stable thru impact as toe shots lost some distance and ones that made solid contact was like I had to stand motionless and pose after hitting it. A pure treat watching it penetrate thru a mild breeze directly in my face with 52* temperatures. Can't wait for the warmer weather to get here which is soon as I see myself tee'in off more with this than I ever have done before with any other 3 wood. I'm now understanding what all the hype/buzz was about as there is nothing better than having a 3 wood that is long as it is forgiving. There might be others more forgiving but not as long. Thanks to TSG for getting me fitted into this and for having patience in me trying to decide on exactly what I wanted. The Tour AD MT6 (yellow) shaft looks very nice and stealthy. I'm very pleased as I had a lot of people try to catch a glimpse of what name brand I was hitting but many of them were much younger than me and felt a little intimidated by someone my age hitting such beautiful shots off the mat longer than their driver. Plus it's early for most and maybe their swing wasn't what it should be yet. This is a very easy to hit 3W. I could go on but I'm not trying to steal anyone's thread as I'm just very impressed with my NEW EGG
  8. I just received mine with a Tour AD MT6 shaft. Took just 2 weeks very impressed with it. Thanks TSG you guys are a great bunch to work with.
  9. I'm starting to feel worried after ready this as I have been waiting for my S-Yard XV 3 wood over 2 weeks. I sure hope they are ready to send mine out.

Well after discovering how the S-Yard company is going thru some major changes the time frame for me in getting one delivered was not feasible. My choice has shifted over to the newest PRGR Egg Spoon with Tour AD MT SR shaft. I know going with either one was going to be a very good choice so thanks to everyone who gave me some good insight on this matter.

What seriously? A newer model besides the HD. I'm tired of trying to keep up as I don't feel like I could go wrong with either. I know that many who bought the EGG swapped out the stock shaft. I hear more good things about the S-Yard stock shaft. So by the time I find my shaft for the EGG it will be $300 more than I care to spend. Nothing against the EGG as I'm sure it is worth it it's just I'm on a budget. The snow is soon to leave and I need to plan for my golf vacation now.

Ok now that PRGR has the new HD model at 14.5* coming out I'm curious as to stick with my order for the S-Yard XV 3 wood or go with the NEW PRGR. I've heard so many good things about both well except for S-Yard as a company isn't doing so good financially. We might if not already have seen the last of their products. Gosh I sure hope not. The new HD sound like it might surpass the original models which were consider the King of fairway woods. I would swap out the stock shaft on the PRGR as I'm considering the Tour AD BB 6 as I would not want to go stiff as SR flex yes would be ok for my 92 mph swing. Any suggestion on a shaft perference would be very helpful too. I know the looks of the PRGR would not bother me as I used to play a club Cleveland made which was very similar a few years back. The shaft on the S-Yard is ok. Sure the New HD EGG might be longer but which would be more forgiving, easy to hit as the price will be different but still reasonable. I'm looking at a 3 wood that will end all my searches for the ultimate 3 wood I can use of the Tee on and on shorter par 4's and off the fairway for my 2nd shot on the narrow fairways on par 5's. I'm usually good for 225 - 235 sometimes a bit farther off the Tee with a 3 wood and 220-230 usually of the fairway. Not as consistent as I would like to be off the fairway as I am off the Tee. I still have 5 weeks till I can get out on the golf course as it has been a very hard winter so the wait for the PRGR wouldn't matter as I just need to decide on something soon. I would like to hear some opinions on why you would get one or the other as this may be my last JDM equipment purchase for the year and I want to make it a good one. Help!!!!!!!
  13. Wondering how the S-Yard XV 3 wood would compare to the Tour Edge Exotics XCG7 Beta, anyone know?
  14. Has anyone compared this to the Tour Edge Exotics XCG7 Beta 3 wood. I'm curious as I'm so close in pulling the trigger on this S-Yard XV 3 wood. Wondering what the difference would be between the 2, would it be worth the upgrade

  16. Hello everyone, I'm very new to this site and to JDM equipment although back in the day I did own a set of Yonex ADX irons and driver to which my friend still owns them and loves them. I was born in Florida which someday I hope to retire and move back then I could still play this time of the year, lived in Georgia, South Korea, Louisiana, Missouri, Kansas and now Ohio. I didn't start playing till I moved in Ohio I look back and sure wished I would have taken up golfing in High School as I have always been competitive and into sports, just not golf. I have a hard time finding time to golf because of my 4 daughters being so involved in softball as we traveled all over the US of A playing softball. Well worth it as it helped pay some of their college fees. Now the job I have is so demanding as I too work for a Fortune 500 company. I was able to make a career change late in my life which has worked out good for me and for my children as they all are grown up now. I still travel a lot just not as far as I used too so when I said my interest is Golf what else is there I really was just trying to be funny. I'm sure many have heard the saying I would rather spend my worse day on a golf course than my best day at work....That's me. Ok to make a long story short and moving on........... I just recently got back into the JDM equipment when I bought a Honma TW 717 10.5 driver with a TA55 Vizard shaft which is giving my gamer a run for top spot in my bag a TM SLDR with Oban White Kiyoshi . My golf game has been pretty decent all except for my driving which has always been my downfall. Well I made the mistake and discovered this website. Now after reading so many good things about a particular driver I had to find out what all of this hype is about. You see I have this problem, I have an addiction, I'm a golf junkie and someone on this site refereed me to Mr. Tario at TSG and now I must say thanks hutchy, I'm in big trouble now. Not really as I have such an awesome wife who is so understanding of my problem. So now all I can say is Wow! There's so much too learn and this site is pretty cool. Glad I found it when I did as I would be a very poor man if I had found it years ago. It's really good as everyone on here seems to be very friendly and very informative.

I wish I would have never found this site as the madness has got to stop.......Lol. I bought my 1st JDM driver about 2 weeks ago and was pretty impressed with it. I was so excited to see what all the buzz was about with JDM equipment. I purchased a Honma TW 717 10.5 with a TA55 Vizard shaft, nothing as exotic as what most people here have but it was a start. I started reading all these forums as I could not help it but I become more interested in the Ryoma Maxima Type V driver. I'm so new to all of his that even in my post I called it the Maxium....Wow what a newbie! I came close to pulling the trigger on one but like the thread stated 11.5 with a GD AD DI R1. Well if I'm going to jump into this I had to go with the help of an expert like Tairo from TSG. I have a Ryoma Maxima Type V 10.5 with a Crazy 6.2 flex TJ-46 Noir driver arriving sometime in 2 weeks. I'm now thinking about selling my 2 other OEM drivers and just use my Honma as a back up driver when the weather is bad out. The sad thing is that here where I live the golf season is almost over with but Wow! do I now have something to be very excited about for the 2014 season. I need to get off here now before I start thinking about some cool looking irons. Actually I love this forum.

Anybody else out there with some helpful advice on this head/shaft combo.

Has anyone hit this club with a Graphite Design Tour AD DI 5 R1 shaft. I really thought I would want a Type V but the website say's the Type D is better suited for the average golfer which is what I consider myself. I play to a 4 handi cap swing speed between 85-97 mph, 58 yrs. young as I don't want this to balloon on me but 11.5 seems to be the right loft designed for my swing speed. Slightly close club face might completely eliminate my slice as it will occasionally sneak around twice during a round. Any time I'm left it's straight but a pull around twice a round, everything else straight as I do average 9-10 fairways a rounds. I have heard so many good things about this new Ryoma Maxium drver that makes me feel like I have to have on. So with anyone's help how well does the Type D model suit my game from the Type V. Also how about this shaft is this a good combo with the 11.5 loft HELP. Need some answers quickly before I pull the trigger
