I would depend on the actual head weight. The Romaro comes in weights for 189 to 200 grams. I play this club head, and installed a Harrison Eclipse. Really not sure if I get any more yardage out of it being non-conforming, but I hit this driver combo great. It's a fantastic driver, and will not likely swap it out anytime soon. Saying that, I just picked up a Honma TW717 460. Absolutely beautiful driver. Haven't hit it yet, so not sure how it will compare.

Just an update, I did just order the Tw717 460 with Vizard TA55 shaft. Really looking forward to hitting it. Not sure how long it will take to get, as it's a special order from Honma, plus shipping time. I'll certtainly post a review as soon as I can. It was a toss up between this and a Ryoma Special tuning, but the cost factor for the Ryoma was just too much. Hopefully will be happy with this choice.

Does anyone play one of their drivers? I'm seriously considering the TW717 460. Really like the look of this head. There doesn't seem to be any reviews of Honma gear? Would really like to hear some comments from any users of this club.

I see this is a Hi-Cor model. How did it compare in length to other non-conforming offerings. Particularly the Ryoma ST?

Just bumping my old thread. Anyone else have any imput on the Ryoma ST? I'm still on the fence, and need to be pushed off.

This looks like a real step up in quality for Geotech. Anyone get to try this yet, or is it too new to the market?

Thanks for the informative reply, I'll have to think about it for awhile, but I'll DEFINITELY be buying from Tour Spec if I decide to opt for the ST. I really doubt I'll need the "face break warranty", as my SS is getting rather embarrassing.

I'm currently gaming a Romaro HX460 gold. Been in the bag for a couple of months now, so I've had enough time to adjust to it. So far this driver is fantastic. I've gained yardage, but because of all the rain the courses are waterlogged here in Southern Ontario. I was really interested in the Ryoma Special Tuning. Has anyone played both of these, and if so, would it be worth it to replace the Romaro that I'm really hitting good right now? Is the Ryoma that much better? I really got the Romaro in the quest for more yardage, but I hit it not only longer, but incredibly straight. Maybe a slight draw.

Thanks for the more detailed review. Sounds like it could be that the shaft is just too soft. How did you find that the type v looked at address. Closed/open/square?

Great, looking forward to your review. I'm trying to confirm the specs on the special tuning heads. From what I've read on TS, all 3 heads have slightly closed faces. I would like to confirm that before ordering. On the maxima (non) ST, the type v is square. I would think that would still be the case with the type v ST. I'd really like to get the type v is I could confirm that all specs on the ST heads are identical. Can anyone chime in on that?
