  1. Yeah. Read up on them. Not sure why, but I think they are more forgiving than AP2s
  2. I'm a 7 handicap and I've had every US and Japanese Titleist iron. I find the TMB to be more forgiving than the AP2. If you're a 20 and you don't need forgiveness, I'm confused. You could definitely try the TMB but I would say try the VG3 first and if they are too easy to hit then get the TMB. I've never found anything that is "too easy" to hit tho.

Got these from bruinduke. They are in nice shape with no gouges or significant marks. No browning on the faces and old style grooves. I pulled the shafts so now I have a set of heads I don't need. $100 bucks? Anyone?
  5. My personal opinion is that the VG3 is forgiving like the AP1 but it is forged. I didn't find the AP2 to be all that forgiving. I like the new T-MB better than all of them but I would go with the VG3 for ease of use. Just my two cents
  6. Working to get more pics up
  7. Lads, I have a set with I9s that I hit better and just feel better for my weak swing. I bought this set of heads from Yourpressed last week. He played maybe 2 rounds with them. I played 1 round with them. Heads are 9.5/10 easy. Shafts came from BruinDuke in a set of OnOffs. 5 iron appears to be 38.5". Here is how I measure, which may be wrong. I put a piece of tape from the center of the club face on the sole to the end of the grip. I cut it to be exact length and then I measure the tape. New set of GP MCC+4 grips. I've invested $1650 to put these together. NOT interested in splitting heads and shafts. Not really interested in trades as everything I have in my bag is brand new. Might consider partial trades. Will ship in the U.S. for free. Overseas is all paid by the buyer. I will consider offers. I'm trying to think what 1 round of golf is worth value wise. I'm looking for about $1400 but if you think I am daft, please tell me. Thanks!

I got the Vice Pro and here are my thoughts...the feel of the ball and cover and just like Pro V1. The ball feels slightly heavier but that's probably just me. Dropping it on cement is sounds the same. It's just as long as a pro v. Same feel of my the clubs. I would say it spins more however. I hit some marginal irons and it still dug in and stopped where a Pro V usually releases a ways. Overall, these balls are just as good for me with a 90mph swing. Maybe the big hitters would have a different opinion. Excellent ball and definitely one I would keep playing. Which is good, cuz I bought 5 dozen. Ordered on Monday night and with 13.99 shipping I had them Thursday before 10am.

hey guys, I have a Roddio I9 shaft that has a sticker on it that says the weight and it has #2 on it. Length is 41". If I'm going to put this in a 4 iron, do I need to tip it? Thanks

Just ordered some Vice Pro. I'll give a review when I get a chance to play them.

Anyone happen to have one they aren't using? Thanks

Pro V1s usually. Sometime Taylormade. Anyone try the new Chrome Soft? It's like hitting a Nerf ball but it performs well.
  14. Feel golf made a 73* I tried for a while. You have to make a big swing to get it to go anywhere and you can imagine where it goes when you make a big swing from 20 or 30 yards and you catch it thin.

Got this from a TSGer across the pond. Just showed up today. Instead of me marking it up tryin to hit it and then sell it, I figured I'd just sell it. Paid $320 but will consider reasonable offers. Shipped free in U.S. My man said the loft was 17.4*. Appears standard length. Plays 43.5". Mint head. Barely a mark. Really nice.
  16. So who in the forum is going to sell me a Zen? Come on!

Interesting. Of all the shots I hit, my average swing speed was about 90. Range was 86 to 93 with the majority at 89-91. My carry distance was 200-220 with an average around 207-210. I don't expect to hit it further than that with my swing speed. What I do expect is to have some consistency in launch and spin. I have found over the past few years that if I tee up my 5 wood (19*) and hit it well, it carries as far as my driver and tends to roll out to the same place. Because of that, there has to be something going on with my driver. It should carry further than my 5 wood. Not 50 yards further but maybe 10.

Not sure which one it was. That's a good idea. Thanks

Very neutral. I never ever ever hit it fat. My miss is thin with a very small divot if any.

Launch was about commensurate with the stated loft on club. So 10-14ish. Nike RZN balls. The dude at the shop is a guy I have played with and he hit a few and his spin was really high. So, I think it was accurate. Maybe not to the exact number but I hit 50-75 drives and the numbers were pretty similar.

I didn't know where else to put this and I had to come clean...it's been so hard. I've gone thru a ton of clubs in the past few years and sold a lot of them on here to you fine gents. Chris has been amazing in trying to help me from a distance, but I couldn't deny my problem any more. I'm Bryan, and I have a spin issue. Went to the local shop today and hit a ton of US drivers with different lofts and shafts. I hit the Aeroburner, the Ping G30, the 915, the Jet Speed, the Fly Z, and the R15. Shafts ranged from Senior Flex to Stiff. Lofts from 10.5 to 14. If I hit the ball well, my spin range was between 950 and 1200. If I hit a fade it went to 1400 and I hit a few gigantic slices that topped out around 2500. Basically, I can not spin the ball and it drops out of the air like a stone. My driver swing speed was around 90mph. The moral of the story is a launch monitor is a good thing even if it tells you that you have problems. I feel better now. Thanks for listening. Chris - help me recover.

I'll think on that. I assume you mean the Bolds. I had a set of those, not the plated ones tho. I have 3 sets of wedges already. :).
