Can someone please help. What is the difference between these two types of shafts. Will I end up hitting the ball higher using a FW head and a UT shaft? or the opposite? Will the feel be messed up? Thanks.

I recently bought a 5W (18*) head and am thinking of buying a Crazy Black UT shaft from the forum to put it in. Will this work? It is no problem when it comes to the length of the club as the shaft is 39.5".

OK. I am the one now with Michael's standard 7D. I was pleasantly surprised on paper how close the spec were to what I think would work for me. I have still not found a head to mate it with so I have not had a chance to try it in practice. It was built for a Modart driver head and I am thinking of getting the +r to give it the best chance. I hope it works.

I play the Reggio Formula MB s75 in my 7 wood (A-Grind 21*) and it is superb. It is not going to leave my bag any time soon. Straight as an arrow, mid-launching and lovely feel.

Prefer a weight closer to 198 and 10.5* loft. Thank you.

Nob-san, I am trying to decide exactly the same as you between the two heads. I do love the feel of hitting the Modart heads in general, but am wondering if the ZY-07 will be more forgiving. I look forward to Chris' comments on these two as I have not done too well with JBeam heads in the past.

I use my Beyond Power at 45.5" but to get to a reasonable CPM I use a Ryoma head in the 198 gms range. I have tried it with a lighter head (Kamui at 194 gms) and it is very light, possibly C6 and doesn't work as well in my opinion. I would recommend something between 198 - 202 gms. With my D1 Vspec it is quite a bomber, however, as Steven says high launch and not much run out on it.

I usually don't butt into these types of discussions, but I have to say that I had a similar reply when I approached this FM (whom I understand is a well established FM) with regards to a set of irons that he had priced over the price I could buy them new. He suggested that it was because they were hard to come by and that he had perhaps over-paid for them. I respected his explanation (not knowing if it was within or without the spirit or rules of this forum) and did not pursue the matter further.

The rumor I have heard is there is a new driver coming out which has two weights at the back not one like the D1 V Spec and Maxima....

Why are the most beautiful clubs so difficult to hit. It's like the pain a woman, I understand, has to endure to walk in high heels. I want them but know I would have a hard time hitting them I think.

These pictures bring tears to my eyes! Sure they are just superb pics and you really are a talented photographer Chris....but it's how much those pictures make me miss Japan.
