  1. gonna drop some Maui pics in here: ( YOU MUST EAT OPIHI! ) Abalone, Uni Risotto + Egg!
  2. Tuff getting them to respond, it's been a week with no reply and we have many pending orders. just sent them an another request to respond today and am calling their HQ this week.
  3. Diggin that Leica avatar! I really don't know the process, lots of dipping in various chemicals, also brushing on the wheel for satin look. Copper creates a softer feel at impact, also increases the head weight a little. We have to charge a bit more because sometimes it messes up the outer finish so it must be redone on our dime.
  4. I love Maui, I was there a month ago and can't get enough. Off the top of my head: - Play Kapalua & Makena GC - Road to Hana ( go all the way around ) and visit 7 sacred falls and eat at the thai spot down there. ( Leave at 7-8am ) - Snorkel or Snuba at Molokini with a boat tour - Eat at Monkey Pod's in Wailea - Eat at Ka'ana kitchen at Hyatt Andaz Maui in Wailea - Eskimo Candy in Wailea - Eat at Star Noodle in Lahaina - Sit on beach in Makena - Be a tourist at the Lahaina Luau
  5. Here's a little update: Copper Satin is more stable than I had originally thought. It's very dry in my area so not the best place to test rust/patina but every day I have been spraying it down with water and not drying it leaving it outdoors. It's starting to pick up some different hue's of purple, blue & gold. Does anyone know what chemical I can add to increase the amount of purple?
  6. New options: - Copper Under layer before ANY finish, yes you could do Copper under Copper - CNC re-grooving and milling marks, expensive but we remove the original plating, mill the face/grooves, then send back to finishers this is also available on irons but keep in mind that face milling is a big loss in weight where grooves only isn't.. In the works: Shaving Driver faces to High COR! We have many customers that have sent in heads for refinishing, can't wait till people get their stuff back and share their experience.
  7. Not sure if you guys are aware but Seven Dreamers now produces Fairway wood and UT shafts... that's the good news. The bad is that they cost exactly the same as the driver shafts i.e Haute Couture = 1800 and Matrix = 1200
  8. Yes I was about to ask if that's a special groove-less version ;)
  9. Where are you staying? I got a couple hook ups and know the best spots to eat local food.
  10. End of the brand in Japan... We said farewell to the S-Yard Japan staff this week as everyone went their separate ways and the beautiful 4 story S-Yard HQ in Ginza was put on the market. Now the brand is run by Direct Link Hong Kong who owes most S-Yards manufactures and suppliers money. We will be able to get S-Yard direct still, just discovering what that process will look like now. I have little faith in their future. The final words from the Japan staff was " It's soo difficult working with the Chinese " but I'm certain they must have also said " It's so difficult working with Americans " as well. When we last visited S-Yard Kobayashi-san was at the helm, the brand while in serious condition had a small window to make a comeback and unfortunately failed. So for those of you with S-Yard clubs in the bag, hold them close tonight, tell them it's gonna be ok and have a beer for the folks that lost their jobs.
  11. Don't get me wrong, I do like these irons, I don't mind the offset, I do mind the chrome finish so if anyone want's to put these in Brushed Satin or Black with a copper under layer drop me a PM, I will shoot pics. The pattern: Epon say's Limited Edition Only 500 sets made. They produce an additional 500+ for the global market or as Sarintr says +700 sets. That is 1000-1200 set's made globally while the market thinks only 500 are out there... Endo usually does iron runs at 1000 sets min btw. i.e Yamaha, TourStage, PRGR limited editions. Producing a Mold at Endo for 500 sets doesn't make $$$ sense considering that Epon needs the dough badly right now. Japan accounts are told 3 sets only per store, this is a marketing ploy as shops can order many more. There is a pattern of these types of shenanigans going on. It's also fair to mention that member Sarintr works at the company that distributes Epon and has only posted in Epon threads. My opinion is that Endo will consolidate distribution in the coming year to offset the loses from losing their major accounts in 2014.
  12. Same finish, feel, spin as the Tours but I like the grind of this one better.
  13. Only 500 made... + 700... But if we sell out... 500 more will be made... But your store can only buy 3 sets... But if you ask for more, no problem!
  14. Yururi Die Hards are saying this is their best wedge ever. If you haven't tried one yet, you can wait or try what some are considering the best Yururi wedge ever.
  15. What model vizard you guys using? 950?
  16. Looks like they may have gotten rid of that plastic face http://tmag8624.jp/tm_japan/doc/140902.pdf
  17. It allows them to make bigger heads at the same weight as smaller heads.
  18. The newest MP Craft is not made at Endo like the previous models. Endo is losing clients at an alarming rate. My favorite is this 513P and the 425.
  19. Soft black is not a plating the face is technically already considered raw so not sure why but I think it can be done, I don't suggest.
  20. I haven't had time to test everything yet, the Chrome or Satin with blackened face feels awesome to hit, it's a nice raw impact and the only way to really get the best of both worlds of feel and looks. I would use vinegar and WD-40 from time to time on the face. Soft black feels pretty much like raw as well, thats more of a coating vs a plating so it wears nicely but also feels great. I can't comment about spin besides that Raw after some rust can enhance spin. As for prices, the most expensive are the black boron, teflon black, teflon satin. but there are also other considerations like the design of the cavity and if it's got an undercut or any materials that could possibly melt in the finishing process.
