  1. Are you talking the actual weight or the hole that says Variable Adjust System? It allows you to adjust the face angle by adjusting the lie of the club so for example: 58* - Square 58.5* - 0.5* open 59* - 1* open 59.5* - 0.5* open 60* - upright & Square 59.5* - upright & 0.5* closed 59* - upright & 1.0 closed 58.5 - upright & 0.5* closed
  2. I'm doing it mostly for it's looks and feel It will also be slightly heavier and I'm having it balanced with all my angles dialed in.
  3. Sounds like overall weight is the issue, try asking Tario about what Sasaya-san can do to lighten it up. I'm pretty sure lighter weights are an option.
  4. I've had a few extra Japan only Odyssey Tour iX Black Series putters since they were released. I would just rotate them in and out of the bag as time went on, I was always a big fan of the original Tri Hot back in it's day. I liked one of them so much I sent it to Master Sasaya to see what he could do, It was the #2 model. This post will go through the process as it's not so often people send in Odyssey putters. Although there was a big deal when Ryo Ishikawa had extended his sight line and then everyone contacted Gold's Factory to do the same. It's never easy removing the insert then measuring and creating a new insert that fits perfectly out of metal but thats what needed to be done. I am also still a big fan of the Original PZ milling, I like the way it feels and rolls the ball. Here are some pictures of the putter in it's stock form then throughout the process. Brand New: In Pieces: Brand label removed tungsten still in tact. Tungsten removed: Insert removed and custom insert test fitting. New Multi layer material face insert using Aluminum + German Silver. More to come...
  5. It's so subjective, the thing I like the least about the ONOFF is that two tone top. IBrid I have no complaints about. I'm pretty familiar with the ONOFF's I would say both the Yamaha & TourStage fly just a bit higher and that's with all of them having the same NSPRO steel shaft.
  6. I decided to break up all the TourStage reviews as I felt that having all products together a lot would be lost. yesterday I gamed my second round with the new D450 709 X-Drive by TourStage and about 3 great range sessions. The demo I received came with a Graphite Design Tour AD GT-7. Thats the new one and I usually go for the 6 series lighter weight shaft but this time I wanted something a tad heavier. The club came in at a D3 swing weight at 45" which for me is a little heavy than I'm used to. I'll start with feel, it's superb think Epon 460ZR with more substance and less hollow. Really fantastic feel which I was not expecting. Based on feel alone I'm going to give this driver a shot with a variety of different shafts. At impact it felt spongy, solid, slightly metallic, muted, and powerful if any of that makes sense. The head looks a little large at setup especially when compared to my S-Yard & George Spirits drivers. Something very cool about this club is the variable adjust system. It allows you to adjust the face angle by adjusting the lie of the club so for example: 58* - Square 58.5* - 0.5* open 59* - 1* open 59.5* - 0.5* open 60* - upright & Square 59.5* - upright & 0.5* closed 59* - upright & 1.0 closed 58.5 - upright & 0.5* closed The club comes with a wrench in a pack so that you can adjust as wish and the drivers head cover is beautiful among the best I've seen. When it comes to distance its odd, due to the weight and feel at impact I really didn't think I was launching it that far but found myself as long as anything else I've hit. It comes off the face feeling hot but I think due to the shaft and specs I had the sensation that my head was travelling a bit slower than usual or as if the ball was heavier than normal. I'm going to have to go with a lighter shaft, I think the Royal Deco Athlete by Crazy should do the trick. Anyway to sum up distance right on par with the best of them and with some fine tuning It could be longer maybe. Forgiveness is all there, It's not Ryoma forgiving and this is a large sized head. Lots of space to land the ball but when you do land it off to the toe you have some problems I remember with the Ryoma the same place hit would equal a straighter flight with very good distance. with the new 709 D450 its a lot less forgiving on the toe although it's pretty close to the Ryoma when hit on the heel side. Also with this shaft the combo had very low spin which I found interesting as most larger sized heads for me have a bit too much. I could see how the low spin could have been caused largely by the GT-7 shaft installed. The only way to find out is with a re shaft. Later this week I'm gonna have a few others hit it and chime in here. Most likely Tatsuro.
  7. +1 the look soft and are soft. Imagine how sexy they would be in a fully brushed satin or double nickel. We have the complete line up on the way for a shoot and testing.
  8. Just got my copy of the final production version of the Mono 455 driver & the new Fairway wood! Pics to come shortly. Now time to choose a shaft. Thinking the new GT-7 Stiff in the 3 wood and new Crazy Proto in the driver.
  9. I smell a shootout with the Yamaha's. Review Coming Soon...
  10. I've spent some good time with the S-Yard and got the opinions of other players on the LM. I think your spot on about workability, for it's size its not as workable as one would expect. Feel, Setup, and Results is where it's at. Now the 435 by Crazy/Jbeam it's long, doesn't feel as great, it's more workable, but its also much more difficult to get a duplicatable result and I think thats what really gives me a good vibe about a driver. How often it can do what I expect and need it to.
  11. I love the eco boost. I like fords, used to drive a modded raptor.
  12. Custom Mizzys are tops. More forum members need to adopt these. Also the new Srixon Z925 I just got in. I forget who said it but these are very soft for an MB and quite forgiving as well.
  13. We work directly with Ryoma's president. TSG sold more Ryoma drivers than anyone else globally so we do know what's going on. They have working prototypes but they don't have any final production clubs in yet there is a 50/50 chance it could be delayed even further beyond the date Ryoma has announced for Japan. When the original D-1 was released they had many issues like differences between production batches and some of the faces not holding up to really big swing speeds. It's not an easy driver to produce being it's a monocoque body with a 60 gram booster in the rear. I'm excited for this club, they are doing new things to it, thing that I want out of a driver.
  14. It is clicky and it didnt spin as much as expected for me.
  15. I'm not into the numbers much either. I gamed a zero for about 3-4 rounds not long ago and hit some really good drives with it, It's such an awesome head just a little demanding for me to play. It's those pure shots that kept me coming back. It was very accurate when hit decent. At the range a few other guys hit it, all really good players and each was surprised at how low spin and demanding it performed compared to their Taylormade drivers. It's as demanding as some of the TourStage limited "P" pear drivers that have come out in years past.
  16. There is also a rumor that Lindsey Vonn introduced Tiger to Shaklee products Physique, Performance, & Vitalizer 4 months ago as well. We heard that rumor before the rumors of them dating came about. Lindsey has been a non paid Shaklee endorser since it helped the U.S Olympic ski team win medals not to mention Annika Sorenstam's success with the product.
  17. I'm sorry and we can refund or switch you to something else, We were actually told March 17th ourselves and I was praying mine would ship on release day with no luck, then we found out that only 500 came in the first batch with 3000 already sold. We stopped taking payments and orders at 50 pcs and have another 30 on a list or until we can feel confident they can allocate enough for our customers. Let me know if you want to wait or do something else, we are always here for you.
  18. I actually found some of the info from that session comparing the Zero to the Jbeam. Keep in mind both shafts are different, I will say that the 787 is known for dispersion over distance.
  19. George Spirits 450 should be in there as well. It's worth a shot trying the T.388 as well.
