Titleist TVDs vs. other
I Love the JDM Vokeys but they just got booted for they new Crazy Toyoshimas! I agree with Tats comments, Miura felt amazing but lacked spin and same lofts lacked distance. Yururi feels great too in raw, tons of spin, Chikara makes a decent wedge but I haven't hit it for years.

My Special Tune w/ Crazy MOFO
From GTI: It's my 4th Ryoma driver now, I'm all about these and have been for quite some time. The D-1 V-Spec has changed my driving game and even my wife plays one. It's less stressful on the brain when a mis**ts fly a lot straighter and longer. My addiction started with the V-Spec 9.5 degree head. It was better than anything else I played up until that point but trajectory still was a little low for me, enter the 10.5 V-Spec which has been in the bag almost forever in club Ho'ing years. Then more recently it became a 9.5 Special Tune which although higher than 9.5 conforming model it still flew a little low for my bones so.... Here comes my new babe, The D-1 V-Spec Special Tune but this time in 10.5. Glory! It works perfectly and I'm getting 10 yards on average more distance and occasionally 25! Don't believe? Ya Neither do I. My score has gone up as some holes I have to hit a 3 wood now but I'll work that out too U guess. So a couple things to note, The non conforming model designated by the words "Special Tune" but otherwise identical seems to have a hair more spin on it. Its not much at all and I would gladly take that for the extra yardage I've gained. I've learned through the years of Ho'ing that for my swing lots of spin and little forgiveness is the recipie for disaster. I still consider the Special Tune low spin compared to others, It's also forgiving as hell. How's she look from above? Sexy right, with that White prototype "CRAZY MOFO" shaft. It's just graphics and I'm still not happy with the way it looks. I had them apply this graphic to the CB-46 shaft which is my Go To carbon of choice. Hopefully the word "MOFO" doesn't offend anyone, We had a proto named Kamakaze that had a few worked up. The CB-46 + Special Tune FOR ME is tops. The CB-46 has low spin, it's not too heavy, and the trajectory is penetrating. I went with the SR flex because crazies play a little stiff. The shaft is listed for aggressive tempo folks but I'm able to swing smooth. My smooth is still aggressive to most. I left out all the technical jargon in this post because most already know it's a very special club. One of the awesome things about Ryoma's is how they hold their resale value unlike most drivers. If you own one 1st or 2nd hand keep her in good shape as I've seen a pre owned Ryoma's go for just a few hundred less than new and when your talking about a 1200 club that helps a lot.

Fourteen Golf
They make good clubs. Very nice designs. It's mostly the irons and wedges that stand out although they have made some good fairways & driving irons in the past. Their last few wedges although forged have felt a bit firm imo. I believe the 930 & 530 models are produced by ENDO. If your new to JDM there are some other offerings I would suggest.

Truly custom irons...
We really can't say for sure but I assume 1000 sets min would be a good starting point. It's not just about affording the 1000 sets but also a lot of money goes into the CAD & Molds.
-
Truly custom irons...
I figure at least 500k would do it. Cad + Mold + at least 1000 sets. That's just a guess. We gotta remember that brands like Yamaha are building most of their entire line up of Drivers, Wedges, Irons at ENDO so that prob is part of the calculations or negotiations as well. Epon well their mommy is ENDO so I assume that different rules apply.

JDM Junior Clubs
Mizuno Japan has kids clubs I believe they will build to specs. Not 100% sure on that but I think they do.

Romaro 460HX Black
Romaro also has a pretty solid players driver as well the 435LX I think it's the perfect size. It sets up like a champ. feels like a firmer more solid impact than it's bigger brother the 460HX. I love Romaro stuff. All around great quality, good designs and Japanese to the core.

I think TourStage would be pretty cool for a young one. What age is your boy? TourStage

Romaro 460HX Black
I can agree with most of that. It's an outstanding driver the 460HX. Louder yes, a bit more hollow feeling for me as well. I didn't find it as forgiving as the Ryoma but still more forgiving than most 460 drivers on the market. I notice the Ryoma flies straighter on miss hits also.

yamaha wedge VS vokey forged wedge.
I love the Yammys as well. It looks different, It feels sweet! It's a severely underrated wedge. Tats & I did a lot of testing with the Yamaha and it pulled out better than the DB Forged. This was before the new JDM Vokeys came out.

Diamana B-Series Shafts The 3rd Generation Diamana
From GTI: Mitsubishi Rayon introduces the 3rd generation Diamana, The B series, for the athlete golfer. It follows the same concept as previous generation models, but with added improvements to further enhance the consistency. The flex characteristics and torque is precisely measured out to create a shaft that is very neutral and can fit a variety of swing types. It brings a similar characteristics as the previous Blue Board version, but with enhanced consistency and feedback. New Dialead material is put into use for this new shaft. Dialead is a new high quality carbon material that is used in satellites that are developed to travel in space. It is very light weight and strong against any type of pressure that is applied. This Dialead material is used with the 3D MDI (Multi DImensional Interlay) technology. The 3D MDI is a strategically angled and rolled carbon sheet pattern. The multi layers of the sheets make the shaft very strong against deformation during high speeds. The Dialead material is layered in a 90* cross pattern between the normal carbon sheets to give it an enhanced consistency and feel. The Diamana B Series is said to be the new standard of shafts for the athlete golfer. Incorporating new material and tech such as Tough-Qure resin system, the new B series shares the same platform as the 2012 Limited Edition Diamana X. The result is the firmest, lowest Torque Diamana while retaining it's light weight advantage. The B-Series by Diamana retains the same firmness in the mid section but the new enhanced tip and butt sections make it more responsive. It's distance and control are not compromised with the low torsion achieved with the new Dialead & Tough-Qure Resin Technology.

Baldo Prototype
- What I would looove to see from Epon
Sorta like the TourStage X-Blade Driving Iron. Except it has the smooth curves of the Personal irons. Yes I love the 901! Great Idea! I would vote for the iron number on the sole.- Differences between the RomaRO wedges
I'm not a big fan of the Epon 210's especially off of tight lies but they do pretty well in the bunkers with their wider sole and higher bounce. The JDM ATV's are actually even better out of the bunker. I've never had an easier bunker club than the ATV 64* although its almost useless from anywhere else.... for me. I REALLY LIKE the JDM Vokeys and the Romaro wedges. I think I like the Romaro SX wedge because to my eye they setup similar to the Vokey's. If you have the chance and it's not sold out Crazy Toyoshima wedges are solid as well.- My Visit to Crazy
AMEN! I'm going to the range tomorrow to try and mimic his position at the top!- Yururi prototype shimadas on eBay...yum!!
They are not Chrome finish. We did sell satin finished Yururi Blades with the words PROTOTYPE on them. Those are sold out. The only difference is Satin instead of raw and the word prototype.- New Epon AF-103
I have no idea. Awaiting some info from Epon about this. It's safe to assume it won't be as demanding as the Zero is.- New Epon AF-103
- i think GOD can definatly hit ............... this 1 iron!
You hit your PW 150! lol that's my 7 iron! LOL never heard that before! Need to get out more!- vokey forged vs on-off labospec 60*
OMG just hit the Romaro VX Forged Wedge. It toe's up with the JDM Vokeys!!- kamui pro kp-x driver head
Its distance was on par with Ryoma, Crazy, Kamui works. For me shorter than Ryoma but for Tats the same. Forgiveness is no where near Ryoma and just a bit less than Kamui. I'm not very consistent when it comes to hitting it center with any driver. It launches similar or a bit higher than the Jbeam imo. Nice low spin is what I like best about it with a mid and piercing trajectory. It's for sure more workable than a Ryoma & Kamui heads. Perhaps a hard swinger that needs to keep it down would like this head best (Like Stew). It reminds me of some of the JDM Tour Akira models that are also very good with low spin. - What I would looove to see from Epon
