  1. Geotech who's parent company is the largest metal wood manufacture in the world is in my opinion the most underrated brand as well. Their prices are affordable, they produce drivers that are on par with the best of them and release over 20 new products each year yet there is still not much mention of them stateside... Well thats all about to change in 2010 as TSG takes over their U.S distribution offering it to clubmakers across the USA. Have a look at the GT455 and SP Black Drivers, IMO the 2 best drivers geotech has produced to date, great feel, distance, and forgiveness at a fraction of the price and best part is we sell them heads only in the ProShop. The SP Black Driver reminds me of and updated version of the old Taylormade 510DF.
  2. Master Sasaya is calling his latest creation the SC Respect Putter. Yes its very similar to Scotty Cameron's design and no Sasaya did not design this model as it's actually a Himeji Open Model head that is Forged. And if you guys are wondering none of Master Sasaya's other putters are open model those are all his very own original designs. If your interested let us know, All the killer options that are available on Gold's Factory putters are available on this model as well. Sky's the Limit!
  3. I agree there is no best wedge but at this moment my personal favorite is the ONOFF S-Forged S20C wedges & The limited Fourteen RT wedge set.
  4. Sorry we would have to order them to take pics and demand is not very high for Miura at this moment. Yes its the same raw head but a very different grind, To be honest I never got into the 5002, hit it but it wasnt stand out. The 5003 on the other hand I fell in love with for many months. Played them with Roddio I-10 graphite. Epon is using the S20C the other brands are all using S25C. In regards to design go with what your eye is comfortable and confident with, I understand you cant swing or see these in person and that is the main reason why we take many pictures of them I dont give an edge to any of them when it comes to design because they all do what they are supposed to and designed well to do it. The new Gold's 2010 blades are S25C, the set in the proto images is 1 of 2 and yes its available for just under 1k heads only brand new. In about 30-40 days we will have another variation of the prototype not in any way better just different. Expect many variations of new Prototype Gold's Factory MB's & CB's in 2010.
  5. @ bogeydog I now own all 3 Yamaha Tour Models but the one I reference in the review is the 2008. I dont think the 09 or 2010 should be that much of a difference though. @landshark This is just my personal opinion and in no particular order but here it goes: - Yamaha Tour Model Irons ( any year ) - Epon AF302 or AF301 - TourStage MR-23 CB U.S Spec - Miura MB5003 - Gauge Japan NC-1 ( Made in Japan version ) While we are on this topic does anyone think I missed a set? It's gotta be made in Japan and an Original Design!
  6. Hey BogeyDog, I think you and brother Goodsie are on to something, yes based on the way it looks I think the 2010 has a bit more bounce or it is rounded off a bit better. Yup and I agree with your comment about the meat behind the CG area which should make it not only feel better but also launch higher like you said. I couldnt tell much of a difference between the 08 vs 09 to change sets, I am actually playing the 08's I purchased back from you a while ago. My brain says the 09 is more forgiving in the toe based on how it looks and was re designed, maybe I am not good enough to tell the difference in this case.
  7. I posted my Review here: http://www.golftoimpress.com/2009/12/epon-...ed-iron-review/
  8. Here we have some images of the new 2010 version Tour Model Limited Iron by Yamaha, We were only able to source 3 sets this year and found it very difficult as it 100% sold out 2 weeks before release and official announcement. New 2010 Yamaha Tour Model Irons ( Already Sold Out ) Have a look at the 2008 vs 2009 vs 2010 models all are very similar in style and design but I have not yet been able to take the new 2010's out for a spin. 2010 on left - 2008 on right 2010 on top - 2008 on bottom 2010 on right - 2008 on left
  9. If anyone is interested the prototype heads in these images are available 3-PW. Only 2 sets were produced, I hit one and will keep it for history, the one for sale is brand new. PM me if you need a price on that. It's a very rare set.
  10. Yea that is a tuff one because people change lofts or sell their sets to others who may use different lofts. If you really want one like that we can get ur done for you.
  11. I'll get a review up with more pics soon, its an excellent iron for sure but people are ordering the 502's over the 302's for some reason.
  12. this is sounding like its gonna be an amazing set of sticks.
  13. I feel there is a big difference in the quality of much of the JDM high end clothing when compared to what the U.S is familiar with in their golf clothing. Bottom line is in regards to JDM apparel you get what you pay for, higher price but better quality and materials. When you think of it the way the apparel is manufactured and distributed in Japan it's pretty much all limited stuff, a run is made and when it's all sold out there usually isnt another run produced. Then there are shirts and shoes that are extremely limited that many brands dont advertise and that cost an arm and leg. I actually have one of these for sale a 2007 Nike TW edition lamb leather jacket never sold only produced for special clients. I can take pics for those interested but just keep in mind I'm selling it for 750 brand new. Taylormade has had a few amazing made in Japan summer golf shirts that last forever dont get furry from the wash and the material blend on the colar is pretty high tech. TourStage always has amazing quality clothing, Mizuno, man come to think of it most of the brands are above and beyond what you expect in golf apparel. Callaway's premium apparel line is one of if not the best and not only do they produce golf play clothing but awesome casual wear as well check it out: http://callawayapparel.sanei.net/collection.html It isnt cheap! In Japan lots of people wear golf related apparel even when not on the course. It's styling for sure, very classy not at all dated looking.
  14. I have seen cast irons bend past 4+ degrees, It takes a lot of heat, care, and understanding that any iron could snap at any moment.
  15. They dont do that direct from the factory but with its long hosel piece made of metal it is totally possible, ask Goodsie about that.
  16. Mad Prop's to ONOFF/Daiwa for producing their new limited edition Shingo wedge at Endo factory in Japan. Here are some pics!
  17. The first batch went super fast guys, I highly suggest pre order in the proshop if you want to get the second release in Feburary.
  18. We appreciate the input guys! Expect several variations of the muscle back over coming months. There is very little that makes muscle backs different from each other, where some companies add a cut muscle other companies shorten the hosel for the same effect moving the sweet spot closer to the toe. The thing that makes these blades stand out a bit is the topline thickness & extreme lack of offset while keeping heel to toe length. Most new blades on the market have a thicker topline & more offset than these.
  19. Here are my top picks: AF-Tour by Epon Gold's Factory 2010 Prototype Blades ( contact me to get an early release set ) Pro Performance Blades ( Only 1 set in Satin with KB 6.0 available anywhere ) Miura MB-5003 Also for those looking at blades we can have Miura custom make the MB5003 with only the MG stamping and no other stamping on it in any finish. Only thing is we need to purchase at least 10 sets at a time.
  20. What do you guys think about lofts? Full blown traditional or semi traditional or modern jacked lofts?
  21. Our very own Gocchin posted here about a new duo of Driver releases from Callaway Japan! For those of you who are not familiar with Legacy drivers they are the best that Callaway has to offer. They feature a traditional hosel type, amazing feel and feedback, with killer forgiveness and distance. Two models will be released early 2010. the 440cc Type S & 460cc Type L. Check out the blog at www.GolfToImpress.com and these live images shot from our source in Japan!
  22. Ok so we are working together with Master Sasaya to produce a new Muscle Back iron geared toward the good player who wants a pure feel, straight neck, thin topline, and consistent sole. The type of player who desires to work the ball, who appreciates that soft and rewarding Japanese forged feel and needs semi traditional lofts. We selected a brushed satin finish based on TSG'ers past requests, we do have the ability to change that finish, as well as the stamping, and to even add copper underlay with the major drawback of that being crinkles in the finish if not bent with great care. The goal here is to produce 2 versions of the muscle back, one ground + CNC'd by Master Sasaya himself the other produced 100% in a Himeji factory. Of course the masters version will cost quite a bit more while the Himeji produced version has a target MSRP of 950 - 1150.00 which is quite reasonable for Japan made Irons 3-PW. We want your suggestions on every aspect you see improvement is possible!
