  1. For years, there’s only been one passenger waiting at the Kami-Shirataki train station in the northernmost island of Hokkaido, Japan: A high-school girl, on her way to class. The train stops there only twice a day—once to pick up the girl and again to drop her off after the school day is over. three years ago ridership at the Kami-Shirataki station had dramatically fallen because of its remote location, and freight service had ended there as well. Japan Railways was getting ready to shut the station down for good—until they noticed that it was still being used every day by the high-schooler. So they decided to keep the station open for her until she graduates. The company’s even adjusted the train’s timetable according to the girl’s schedule. The unnamed girl is expected to graduate this March, which is when the station will finally be closed.
  2. Hi Nob, Yes for me at least trajectory 14* is higher than A-Grind 14* or Modart 14*.
  3. I like it over the A-Grind in feel, distance, and how it clips the ball off the ground. Traj. is about the same but RS-F flies in a more penetrating way. This one would kick my modart out if I can find another original FW80 shaft.
  4. Introducing the new Grandsita RS-F Fairway Woods - with all the amazing fairway woods on TSG it's hard to choose "the right" one and here comes another stunner the RS-F3 by Grandista, lets start with some very good news, it's got a DAT55G face, a forward CG for lower spin, yet a fairly shallow face to help get the ball up, the cut away and two weight bars create a very stable trajectory. I've hit all 14/15/16* custom 3 wood lofts and can suggest these with confidence they stack up with the best of them for sure top 3 in my book as well. Yoshida-san former tour pro and founder/designer of Grandista is on a roll, his drivers are top 5 in my book and this fairway wood is top of the heap as well, It's designed for the lower handicap player yet its extremely easy to hit with it's mid/high trajectory and due to less spin a tighter shot dispersion yet maintaining workability, sounds almost too good to be true but it all works out and compared against other JDM fairway woods for low handicap golfers these have a slight distance advantage as well. More good news is with our direct relationship with Yoshida-san we can custom order 14/15/16/17/18/19* lofts ranging from 3 & 5 woods weak or strong custom hand picked this is a big plus for those who desire exact lofts to fill a certain gap or those who need a strong/weak 3 or 5 wood. I had a very easy time hitting the 14* with good launch where as with most other brand I don't do so well with the lower lofts, I think 14/17* is a great good combo and paired with a heavier stable shaft the trajectory was near perfect for me, this will definitely give my Modart a run for it's money and is good enough for me to consider buying a 7D shaft for this head. Like the Grandista Driver the shape at address is off the charts pretty, it reminds me of a slightly more round A-Grind style shape and the size is just right with the 3 wood at a perfect 163cc's and the 5 wood at a smaller 153cc's. Yoshida-san really knows what he is doing. f interested we will have these in the proshop later in the week, I also have 3 brand new heads in stock used for photos available 14/15/16* lofts if you email me at [email protected] Thanks for reading!
  5. Your welcome, yes P model is a 2 piece head with more focus on distance and forgiveness yet its still a players club with it's shaft options, head weights and overall design just a more forgiving and larger size one. Feel won't be as pure as the other 1 piece forged models and that is why I would only have it in the long iron if you care about that. Also when you do custom black nickel finish on the P, it still has a silver inner cavity while all other models are completely custom black nickel.
  6. Do a search in the blog sir. We have photos of all three models.
  7. It's not the fact that you prefer USDM over JDM, what market its made for is totally irrelevant it's the driver/shaft/specs that best match your swing and hit well. What people are blurting out in this thread is what works for them without understanding of what the original poster needs, so if your one to follow the pack based on another's optimal club then your bound to strike out more often than not. If your truly committed to understanding the why behind the clubs you like or dislike then it takes effort in learning about your own swing and the specs that work or don't work for you.
  8. Sorry no this set found a new home a while ago.
  9. Do you really get a higher traj. From the 120/130 vs the 125?
  10. Where on the club face do you miss? What does your bad shot or problem area look like? The reason why I ask is because we all have different problems and issues so figuring this out is essential to finding what the easiest club for "you" would be.
  11. This is what happens when Epon designs on their own and this stuff will float in Japan but not anywhere else especially the discerning bunch you fellas are. They are still utilizing the aesthetic recommendations from TSG since we had them get rid of Technity and move to JAPAN FORGED AF (Absolute Forged) theme, Based on Absolute Vodka btw.
  12. If I could do it all over again, I would change it up: #4 - P #5-9 - VN #PW - M Not the best for looks but for my game this is what would benefit me.
  13. Here ya go Epon Fans, 2 new putters release date: Janurary 21st.
  14. I shouldn't say stay away, I would just suggest Honma models like Beres or TW series no matter where it's sold over the G1X. G1X they are trying to reach a certain price point and in order to do that certain sacrifices are made, Designed at Sakata is all Honma models, Made at Sakata is not.
  15. Honma is a solid company, their capabilities are second to none.
  16. It's the G1X, stay away from that one. Not made by Sakata. It's made for the Global Market.
  17. Just email me to order, custom spec isn't a problem either.
  18. Opps sorry for the late reply, yes 350g!
  19. Here is top view of the new irons he is producing.
  20. I'm stoked for you V! I know first hand that the Maxima + 7D combo is the best shaft for this head. To me it totally transforms the Maxima into a distance beast with much much much improved dispersion and straightness, it does lower the trajectory as well ( of course depending on shaft design ) If you have questions about the process feel free to ask as 7D already knows your a good customer of ours and to look after all details.
  21. A technology that creates long distance I would assume.
  22. Very far out sir, I would not be expecting them soon. Samples of the next run are still not here and even then I most likely won't be happy with them.
  23. It's not just about COR and CG locations for distance and not all drivers go the same distance if those two things are equal. COR + CG does not create equal ball speeds. Factories know what drivers are longer than the others by using a very expensive trackman combined with proprietary software + swing robot. So say the robot is set to 95mph and all variables are equal other than COR & CG the distance will still vary. Some drivers are longer than others and that applies to SLE vs SLE & Non Conforming vs Non Conforming. The brands are not all at the SLE limit for COR, they have durability/warranty issues in mind especially in the U.S, same as the US brands making shaft tips .350 for durability instead of .335 while negligible has a tiny effect on feel and shaft activeness. Some materials are more durable with thinner faces than others and some materials & designs have higher ball speeds and better rebound numbers as well, Another example would be Ryoma even conforming faces have a tendency to crack under high swing speeds this is not because of the COR it's because of the design and material of the face you can see that as good or bad I guess. So I wouldn't want to dumb down the conversation by saying due to COR being near the limit one design or material can't be hotter than the other. Lastly I will say look at how marketing in the USA is done vs Japan: USA = Gain 15 yards with the new hotter brandX driver, Get more distance and adjust (click click) so your golf partners says wow! Japan = By moving 30 grams back and lifting the CG we have increased forgiveness and workability for more distance, our patented forged cup face made of a new S700 blend produces more rebound than previous models. Across the board not only in golf you see this, Mazda Miata commercial in USA vs Miata commercial in Japan one is about the fun the other is about the specifics and finally food to me is the biggest example of how two countries view quality of materials, preparation and pride differently. Take a Japanese person to wallmart to buy their produce, poultry and meats, they will smile out of politeness yet in their heads they are thinking how could anyone sell this crap.
  24. Oh yea here is a sneak peak from the JPGA on what Ako-san is working on next:
