  1. There's a new Crazy STP85 in Stiff Flex I'm testing and will post on next week. Stepped carbon high-end shaft that Crazy paid top dollar to purchase the patent.
  2. Bought from TSG? let me help sir drop me an email to [email protected] include your driver swing speed as well. That is FOR SURE a crack!
  3. Those are Faux screws. Unfortunately no, they are all square with 202g heads +/- 1g.
  4. Many of these sold in the last couple weeks and all shipped quickly. I've hit mine a round, let a friend borrow it who won't give it back.. Before I say what I think about it, I'd like to hear what those who have bought one think first :)
  5. I don't think so but hard to tell with two different shafts, A-Grind felt more pure metallic to me over the T388's foam like thwack. I would guess head vs head the A-Grind has a touch more spin and higher launch but because of the Crazy shaft the result was a touch lower and stronger flight with more roll.
  6. Samples are on the way to me of both Beyond Power & new Ryoma U lofts. I've already added new Ryoma U lofts to the proshop listing.
  7. Having hit both now I'm in love.... with both! So many of us have owned a T388 and it will go down as one of the best ever small headed drivers. It's mute, almost feels foamed, very straight with low spin and a fairly soft feel with dull thwack sound to it. A-Grind Classic Driver has got everyone intrigued, many have sold and I'm glad to inform you guys it's pretty awesome and very different than the 388 and while feel is always subjective this is a more soft metal feel less muted than the dull thwack of the 388. My A-Grind Classic has the Crazy Type B in it, the T388 stock shaft and side by side distance is equal so in other words not super long but still long. I would say both have very very similar performance characteristics and where they differ is in feel and looks. Feel is for each to decide but for looks A-Grind wins by a hair imo but of course we all have different eyes. with the different shafts trajectory of the A-Grind was more penetrating imo, more roll, and tighter but thats prob because two different shafts.
  8. Hi Sir, Welcome to the site, it's S20C not 1020C. The difference is S20C is from Japan, 1020C is not although they are both almost identical. japan designation is S##C. There is no such thing as 1023C just like there is no such thing as 1018...:)
  9. Do all of you above have the CCB104 Wedge or the Prototypes? Both are excellent imo.
  10. It's been a while since we visited the topic of Crazy Wedges. There is always a waiting list on these, TSG has been buying all of their stock for years now. CCB104 wedge is almost forever gone. Prototype will go on but only 2-3 sets of 52/58 per month. haven't had good pics of these in a while.
  11. I'm very familiar with both, the CRAZY UT is sold out in my flex and has been for ages. Only X is in stock still. I love this shaft. The difference between the two is apparent, Crazy is stiffer, more boardy, more accurate. TRPX is near perfect its in many weights, but it's feels really nice in the proper flex, still accurate a little more distance but hard to tell with different heads.
  12. This is Black Boron, it's plated so it does not wear at all. I personally prefer our black oxide, just a really clean finish but it will wear and it feels softer than black boron. BB makes the club feel a touch firmer than satin does, BO ( black oxide ) is softer because it's a coating. Looking at the pics I would have done the large B in silver paint and Forged in Red.
  13. These went in used and came out not only looking brand new but even better!
  14. It should still be very nice IMO, it will feel good and for sure looks good but what's needed is the explanation of why? I buy Japanese for the Quality & Technology. Epon has the Quality but not the technology. Think Casio G-Shock MR-G Watch, be that way with anything and dominate. Relying on the brand name to carry sales won't last forever without innovation. As JDM grows and golfers become more discerning they learn that technology does matter and sell! Truth is when you cut epon drivers open they are empty and rely on the material, weighting, and CG placement, nice it's still the fundamentals of golf but so much more can be done and at the very least explain the why. This is precisely why many OEM's have left Endo, the lack of advancement in wood technology "especially in Adjustability" and use of new tech in various ways to reduce and distribute weight creatively. So what we have seen from Epon is the same tech in different shapes and CG locations for many years now. They have nailed the looks part down, but it's time they play catch up with tech. Unfortunately it's already too late. The term used by my engineer friends is "unwillingness to adapt" and that has led their customers to go elsewhere. The tech comes from the OEM level, not the factory but when the factory doesn't invest in the tools and tech to produce the customers desire they go elsewhere like overseas... and then the focus shifts to Technology over Quality which we don't want. It needs to strike a balance. FYI Epon & Endo are operated completely separately, it's hard to tell who exactly is at fault for the lack of innovation but I will say Honma and Maruman are still cranking out some sweet tech at Endo which leads me to its Epon who's the weak leg in design. Endo is still my favorite iron factory for mass made but IMO paying handmade prices for mass produced clubs is outrageous. What Japan has over any factory in the world is grinding which can't be bought or designed it's years and sometimes generations of skill/talent/practice handed down that creates that so if I were giving advice to Endo again it would be to absorb Japan's best asset and incorporate it into creating the best products in the world. Will that happen? Never they want someone who works for peanuts with no attitude doing a robotic task repetitively and let me tell you these grinders have attitudes, each one is quirky and unique in his own ways so I understand these are not the easist folks to employ.
  15. Yes that's exactly it. Basically they are trying to push their new shaft really hard.
  16. TC1000 as in the cast version? Castings can be mushy as well.
  17. My vote is MCI-80 or OT85. Haven't tried the OT but MCI is smooth with a nice dispersion and trajectory.
  18. Red Hot FW is available. I wish they would post more info on this one, looks really great. I haven't hit my sample Red Hot yet. Aura Driver Shaft is coming in May. TRPX UT is pretty awesome, my favorite UT shaft. I wish TRPX added more info on their shafts so we wouldn't have to inquire. Will have more info shortly for you guys.
  19. Release date is April 24th. Mirror finish & Black IP Difference between previous version: Standard Shaft is DOA which is a partnership brand between Epon & FSP. What they are saying to push the shaft is interesting, it came in the form of a warning: During their test hitting of the new Zero without the DOA shaft you lose 20 yards but with the DOA shaft you gain 10 yards...
  20. Really liked the RX, not hard to get into the air at all. I would say just less heel and toe real estate to make contact with so if you are center on your strike it's one of the best options.
  21. Wow very interesting! I found out the RX-FW that is imo compact is the exact same head volume as the Glorious but because the Glorious is shallow it looks larger. The RX-FW and Glorious are basically the same but the glorious is a flattened version. Glorious FW and RX FW are the same volume. 3W 190cc 5W 180cc 7W 170cc
  22. Thanks for waiting, I have a reply. Kamui registered only 9*, 10* & 11* for R&A and USGA. So, you can order 9.5* written on the head but it is considered non conforming. They say yours is real.
  23. Thanks Ash! Glad you think they are purdy, we had an option during the design process to keep them in the barrel longer for a more rounded look on all edges or just a short amount of time. We opted a shorter amount of time to let the hand grinding show more but mostly so they are more precise with sharper angles. Ash selected Black Boron, below we also have black oxide in front, black teflon in back:
