  1. My buddy has them on his irons. The finish handles lots of use well. he is mini tour player so he plays ALOT.
  2. I have been using GP NDMC since Jesus went to high school. I am testing PURE grips now. I got a DTX midsize sent to me. It's their response to the NDMC grip. It has TONS of traction. My hands for some reason have almost an allergic reaction to Lamkin grips, they feel good but after 5-10 seconds I feel an irritation/burning feeling. I found the DTX to be gentle to my skin, the grip is like holding CORD. I would use it for woods/hybrids but I might want something softer on the irons so I am gonna demo the Pro Wrap and the Pro models to see how they feel on the non-glove hands. They are MUCH cheaper then Iomics for sure! I also built mine up with 3 wraps and no issues with the install.
  3. Is that W sole grind an industry term for that kind of work? I saw that mentioned with the Yoro Mizuno irons. Is that grind offered on the 501's?
  4. Those 709MC irons look gorgeous!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  5. My dealer quoted me 4-PW, installed with GP NDMC grips $375 for i125 and around $625-650 for the Recoil 125's.
  6. Trust me boys, nothing more then I want is a set of Miura 501's and Miura wedges in my bag but in the middle of a divorce so no spendy for me! If you look at the bag pics, the room looks slightly empty well you should have seen BEHIND the camera! LMAO. She took all the furniture! I was selling the house so I got a makeshift replacement set. House is gone now and I have a stocked apartment, I just remember how empty that house was this summer.
  7. LOL @ MOB, yeah I have a knack for being a pain in the *** The Recoils play truer to flex from what I have read. From what I am reading the steel equivilent of each of the shafts is i125 is more DG S300 and the Recoil 125 is C-Taper. Yes the Recoils are more money vs Aerotechs (my club guy said a 4-PW set is about $375 vs 600-625 for shafts, installed with grips) but if I was willing to make the large investment for a set of Miuras like you did then I am willing to spend the $$ on the shafts too. Thats just me. Keep us posted and best of luck! Mike
  8. MOB also try to demo the new UST Recoil series. They are getting rave reviews and I have read numerous Aerotech owners switching to them. They offer the same weights as Aerotech, might be worth at least demo'ing.
  9. The Aerotechs will play very true to flex. I have hit the i95 and I own a i125 demo 6 iron. The i95's surprised me how stiff they really were but they were still too light for my wants. I was able to score a demo 6i shaft from a dealer, I have it in a spare head playing at 38 inches. I love the feel, the balance, the ball flight, and the dampening. My 6i s/s is 89-91mph and I am totally fine at s flex, I had a Pro who was closer to 99mph take some swings, he loved the feel too.
  10. I google searched Mizuno W grind, it gave 2 responses to 2 of the customer's sets here. The W grind kills the leading edge and the trailing edge. You can really see it on the 69's below. Here is the link. http://www.golftoimpress.com/custom-mizuno-yoro-order-twilight-mp-59/ http://www.golftoimpress.com/custom-mizuno-yoro-order-craig-double-nickel-mp-69/
  11. Will you be able to post pics of the different sole grinds they will be able to offer? Thanks
  12. Is it possible to the get the full specs on the irons (including the bounce angle).
  13. Chris, Will you be able to supply pics of the different grind options available? I am more curious about the sole grinds. My needs would be like the Scratch D/S or the Ping Radius as a reference point. Thanks and great job! Mike
  14. I thought my mp37s were nice & compact, these irons are that much more compact, i could put butter on your b'fast toast with my 3iron! Well I can atest to that. I was privelaged enough to play with Jon last weekend and those irons are SWEET! He ain't kidding about those things being a butter knife...he could have cut the crust off my post round tuna sandwich if he wanted to! :) I hope you double glued that 7 iron head back on...you could kill someone at a tourney!...lol. Best of Luck at your 1st event! Mike
