  1. I don't think that's possible. It's not soft like a pillow....I do think the face grooves make a difference in how it feels...definitely less clicky than say, a Cameron...but it's still very much solid, not like an insert...
  2. I have this putter...I don't know about Gun Metal..seems darker than that to me (the original was more gun metal, this is pretty much black IMO). It CAN rust if you're not careful...You basically have to wipe it clean and keep it dry...If you do that it won't rust and the finish doesn't wear...I've had it for a number of years and still looks pretty much new...Now if you like hitting it against stuff or getting out of bunkers with it..yeah, it's really soft, it'll dent, wear, rust, etc...but otherwise it's fine. I have a G-Field Premium that I've been wanting to use and knock this out of the bag but so far it hasn't happened...
  3. It's not Japanese but I don't see how you can go wrong with a 510TP at that size...
  4. Sorry, forgot to add pics. MR23 US Spec CBs 3-PW S400 Shafts Standard Loft, Length, Lie GP Tour Velvet. Excellent condition 399 Shipped CONUS. I am flying out of the US later this week so they will be shipped by Friday and any deals will need to be done by then. I'll send additional pics if needed.
  5. Club Glove sells a "Stiff Arm" which basically goes from the bottom of the case (inside your bag) to the top of the bag. You can drop the case on top of it's head and it won't harm the clubs... I use a Club Glove Last Bag and it is by far the best bag out there...There are ones slightly bigger and smaller but the concept is the same....It covers your clubs and is easy to move around. I will generally wrap the clubs with a towel as well cause I don't want any excess shaking..It also adds to the support already provided by the bag. I also use headcovers for the irons when I travel... Airlines won't insure the soft case ones but the fact is the hardcases are such a pain to deal with...the softcase folds away and is easy to store...I've taken my clubs all over the place and have yet to have any problems...
  6. Yeah..that's what I just said...it's like a cool little toy you can mess around with but it's not a launch monitor...
  7. Looks like a cool little device but as stated by some other people that have used it, it doesn't do ball speed, spin or launch (which to be honest, are probably the three most important things). I think it's something nice to measure your swing speed..maybe against your buddies or something....but the distance is just some number based on the clubhead speed and face angle (and what club you selected), the results won't be very accurate....
  8. bump for new price and in response to pms

  11. The problem I find is people misinterpret that statement. They feel many shafts have the same bend profile which they do not. It looks like to me that the new shafts coming out allow shaft manufacturers to create a bend profile that has not been available before. I'm also not even sure if bend profile would describe the effect something like Rombax or Triax gives to a shaft... It's not the case here but many people will take wishon's statement, show a cheaper shaft w/ the same basic specs (torque, weight, kick point) and point out how it's the equivalent shaft..
  12. Does it perform 500 dollars yes? For the person using it, it might. Does it shave .25 strokes off your game (for that particular person) and is that worth 500 dollars? For some it might be image but if you're into getting the right gear for you, does it matter if the shaft is 20, 50 or 500 dollars? Is it worth it to shave a stroke or a fraction of a stroke? I'd say a majority of the golf forum people spend far more than that to shave fractions of strokes or for high handicappers, full strokes. When rounds of $75+ are commonplace, you better believe something that performs somewhat better for that specific person is worth the money. It's the same argument I use to people not using a premium ball when it's obvious it performs better for them. If a 10 dollar a dozen ball is the best ball for you, you should use it but if the premium ball is performing better for you, are you really concerned about the price of the ball when you just spend 80 dollars to play (or 40 dollars or whatever). Not to mention all the time you spent on the range, etc, etc. Sure it sucks to lose a 3-4 dollar ball vs. a 1 dollar ball but when it's saved you a stroke or two or even a fraction of one, is that significant? I think you can question the cost to make such an item is not 500 dollars more but there are so many other factors involved in how it's priced. Off topic: As far as Wal-mart. On average their items are cheaper. That's factual. Their business model is made so that: A. They have the cheapest price to the consumer B. They have greater margin than their competition C. It's posssible for their Vendors to have greater margin (per item) on their items to Wal-mart even though their sell price to Wal-mart is lower than to other places. (this may seem wrong but it's not) This is done in how they manage their supply chain, etc, etc. Pretty amazingly what they do on the backend to make things happen.
  13. I feel teased...haha Any reason these will be that expensive? Seems a bit odd for something mostly made in china..
  14. I don't know if I'd say it the muted feel...and granted, I haven't hit the xtours so I don't know about those but the others all have this almost trampoline effect from the irons if that makes any sense. I don't know if this is the case but feels as if the face is actually thinner than irons I'm normally used to hitting....it just doesn't feel right and I don't feel like I have the control and I certainly don't have confidence that my distances will be the same given the same swing...that might all be false but I really dislike that feeling....
