I have used a few dropps of shaft epoxy and never had a problem since. I would reccommend you use a q-tip and dab it in the opening then pushing the weight in. If you put it on the weight and then push it in it seems to get a bit sloppy. FYI. Good luck, G :smile1:

I am looking for a soft S flex shaft, yet I want it stiffer than a regular. I know my 2 options are either trim the regular or weight the head of the other club thats receiving the stiff. If I want a specific swingweight and dont want to weight the head of the one and Im afraind of changing the shafts characteristics by trimming on the other, what can I do. I am looking for a specific CPM, and I know roughly the properties I like, how can I find out CPMs of any given shaft with a certain club head weight? My main question is a diamana 83 regular. There is more data than ever being collected on shafts, especially regarding shaft profiling. I think there will be a standard in the industry soon. Yes, a company can take the readings and do something slightly different to come up with an odd number but I dont see it having any advantages. I fell in love with the concept of shaft profiling a while back. People are now able to read shaft specs that are graphed out and will display playing characteristics all along the shaft. Great idea. :laugh: Now we can look for parts we like in a certain shaft, find others with similar specs yet have the changes were looking for. I think the biggest obstacle will be to find one we like. lol Theres going to be fun times ahead. G :cool:

From the little knowledge I have, I would say if you soft step a shaft your going to get a little softer feel, not much of a difference in trajectory. Hard stepping is just the opposite. Doing this is supposed to give a person the in between flex. Anyone can correct me here, I am probably doing a disservice here. :confused: :smile2: G

I learned how to play golf with MP-14's, had 2 sets. I've hit many clubs since then and have never really found any that felt as good. Looked at the MP-33's, felt clicky and hard, didnt like them. Tried Hogans, again clicky and hard. Just hit the MP-32's and have to say they are the easiest to hit and the best feeling club I have hit since my 14's. I havent played a full set just a few irons, but they are great. IMHO, the MP-32 is one of the top 5 best clubs I have ever hit. Im going to try the TP's again to make sure I wasnt having a bad swing day, which is most days. Good luck! G :cool:

I dont think TM will relase a TP in the HT line, but I am not sure about the R5TP. If it wont be the actual R5 it will be something very similar from what I have heard. G :cool:

Guys I havent been around much lately do to this terrible flu/belly ache thing I have been trying to get over. :wink: I think my wife is trying to kill me again. I told her what I did and she keeps insisting I drink 8 glasses of water a day and make sure I drink water with every meal. :whistle: Go figure. Honestly, my water hasnt had much taste lately so I stuck all of my irons in there. lol Oh, we have a good filter now, guy at the home depot said its supposed to get rid of all the rust in the water, I said, SOLD! I wont be doing it again. A guy could just fill up a gallon bucket with softner salt and a bit of water and do the same thing. Thanks for the heads up. I am inserting an 869 that has been trimmed 1/2 inch into a TM 200 smoothie 3 wood and was just curious how it will play. The head seems to weigh about 217 grams and I just floed the shaft and added a 2 gram lead tip weight, so Im excited to hit it. The weight limits the insertion depth about an 1/8th of an inch less, not sure if that matters. I glued it up and now Im going to try it tomorrow. I have been playing a retail V-steel with a regular shaft and have been playing it quite well. I have about a 115 SS and just prefer a soft shaft. Im just hoping the 869 isnt to stout. Its an (S) flex. Anyone here play this combo? Thanks, Grant

Doesnt everyone have a softner? The thing you put salt into for soft water? We have a white 20-30 gallon tank that holds salt. Mine had a bit of water in it which is normal, along with salt, about half full. I stuck the wedge in the tank, up to the hosel and left it for the night. Came back in the morning and it was completely clean. I am not sure of the chemical reaction, hopefully the water doesnt taste too bad this week. lol Im sure that type of concentration of salt water can be pretty agressive. I thought I had a cool idea for getting my club to rust, but it backfired. I put it in our softener overnight just to see if I could get a really rusty head and came back the next day and it was completely free of any rust at all. It actually cleaned the head completely. WTF? :-D If you want an easy way to clean raw heads, give it a try. It works! No, really it does. Grant

I am pretty sure I can get them for around 900.00 but I thought that was way too steep. I guess whatever someone will pay is what its worth. I hope they come to Retail. They are already here so why not put it into production? Why wait for another 6 months for a 450-460 R7? I prefer only 2 weights anyway. Did I say I :love: the R5TP
