Is this titleist wedge for real?
It looks like an early production/proto of the old Triple Grind model with no markings. The head shape is virtually identical.

WTT: Nice 2002 Hogan Apex 3-PW, New Whisper E's
I have a nice set of Hogan Apex blades 3-PW, 2002 model, Apex 4 shafts with brand new Whisper E(green) grips. I picked these up from my GM at Golf Town in October. There is the normal bag chatter with a little face greying on the 7-iron and PW. The 4 and 8 irons have small dings on the toe but the chrome is not fractured. I will include an 18* Founder's Club "S" UST shafted utility in the deal. What I am exploring is a trade for some good stiff shafted irons with graphite shafts, either blade or cavity. Arthritis is forcing this issue. Please email me for pictures @ Will sell outright for $205 U.S. shipped. Thank you for your responses. :hogan: .

SOLD Ping G2, 10*, Aldila NV65, "S", Mint!!
SOLD I really hate to do this but I need more launch angle from my 57 year old body. This driver has never seen a range ball and has been used for three rounds only and four inside practice sessions with Callaway HX Tour balls. It is a factory straight model in immaculate condition with the G2 headcover that was never used outside. The shaft is an Aldila NV65, "S" flex and I have just replaced the Ping grip with a new Whisper E. Ping laser etched my name on the bottom but for the anal types, it could be buffed out, I suppose. My eBay ID is mgdcanada with 133 positives. $219 shipped in the lower 48 or Canada, PayPal only please. :ping: :smilealdila:

The definition of FACE PROGRESSION
In woods, it means the amount of the face's leading edge that is visible AHEAD of the hosel. In persimmon woods, it helped achieve more desirable launch angles. As for irons, I am unsure as to its purported meaning. :-D

What do you think is the best wedge maker out there?
At present the Tour Edge 8620 is the best I have owned.

Callaway
Before Callaway's Canadian headquarters left Victoria a couple of months ago a good friend of mine had worked for them for the past several years as the head of sales amongst other positions during his tenure. If I recall correctly, he told me that since Callaway's construction of the their ball manufacturing facility they've annually lost roughly $12 million on balls alone. I believe this information was also posted somewhere on PGA.com's Equipment News several months ago. Here is a link to support my observations on Callaway's ball operations. http://www.pga.com/news/industry/businessi...sider072604.cfm Notice how the consolidation is beginning to pay off.

I am saying that the HX Tour ball, now manufactured at the Top Flite facility acquired by Callaway is making money as a separate product model. Its sales are crisp.

Callaway
There is no public information that the HX ball is losing money. Where did you get this from? Forgings make up less than 12% of the iron market so why would Callaway want to make a forging when their Hogan division does that quite well? The GBB II driver is selling very well in Canada, now that it is at a better price point. I use no Callaway equipment but I can tell you that they are a long way from being down and out. They will release some very affordable and interesting products between now and the spring of 2005. My pro got the stats. They are losing money. Ask yourself this out of the top brand manufacters taylormade callaway titleist cleveland ping who makes a blade who doesnt who makes easy to hit irons EVERY1. My point about blades is supported strongly i think. 12% would help calaway alot right now.trust me callaway has lost millions and millions this year That was not your point. You said that the HX Tour ball was losing money which I said was incorrect. As for the company losing money over the last few quarters, I agree. Your number analysis is absurd. The TOTAL forged market for all manufacturers is 12% and no company including Callaway is going to sell that many forgings.

Callaway
Sorry, but that honour would go to Golf Town in Canada unless your pro is selling more than $10 million a year.
