new clubs what to get
I play the mp-30's and honestly, dont know if it can get any better. Depending on what you are really looking foor, the Miura's might be a good fit. You also might take some time and see if you can get a special "one-off" set of irons (TM RAC Tours, etc...). If I were going to get a new set of irons, I honestly would look at 3 sets: 1. New Callaway X-Tours, not the current OEM sets, but the new ones currently being played on tour. 2. A set of custom MP 32/60 Mizunos, done in flat black 3. Miura CB's Again, it's personal. Make sure you get fitted for whatever you decide.

Crews Golf Triple Sole Wedge...Any experiences?
I recently purchased a LH triplesole in 56*. I really like this wedge from the bunker. The sole design allows me to open the face and play a variety of different bunker shots. From the fw, wedge shots play very nice and the grooves and milling make the ball sit and spin on command. I have a little difficulty laying it open on shots from tighter lies because of the wider flange, but every other lie seems to benefit from the sole design. I got the Nippon 950 in mine and couldn't be happier. Ball flight seems a little lower than my tour issue Y cutters, but the spin from the grooves really helps the ball check nicely. The milling on the face makes the Spin Milled and Y Cutters look like wal-mart clubs. Overall, I am very pleased with this wedge ancd look forward to purchasing more in other lofts..

sand filled putter shaft
We have actually done this with a 3/8" diameter bolt for quite a few customers. We dip the bolt in "tool dip" and insert into the shaft (to hold it steady and absorb "shock"). Bolt length depends on how much weight we decide to add. This acts as the counter balance. Adding sand will increase the weight throughout the entire shaft. The bolt method is similar to what has been done by Heavy Putter with the exception of the increased weight at the head. The main thing to remember is that it is all about personal preference. But think of it this way... how steady will you swing a sledgehammer during a putting stroke? It would be extremely difficult to break your wrists during the stroke with a sledge.

Custom Club coatings - check this site out!
I had a SC Pro Platinum Del Mar 3 refinished in Naughahyde (sp) with yellow and red paint fill. It is A M A Z I N G ! ! ! $25 total cost including removal of the shaft and nicks. It did take a little longer than I would have liked, but he is very backed up with work and some personal issues. If you have the time, give Jim a try. Don't be afraid to call him first, Jim will take good care of you.
