  4. Did these come in yet? I'm curious how you set them up, what shaft, grips, etc?? How do they play? They look amazing!!
  5. I play the mp-30's and honestly, dont know if it can get any better. Depending on what you are really looking foor, the Miura's might be a good fit. You also might take some time and see if you can get a special "one-off" set of irons (TM RAC Tours, etc...). If I were going to get a new set of irons, I honestly would look at 3 sets: 1. New Callaway X-Tours, not the current OEM sets, but the new ones currently being played on tour. 2. A set of custom MP 32/60 Mizunos, done in flat black 3. Miura CB's Again, it's personal. Make sure you get fitted for whatever you decide.
  6. I recently purchased a LH triplesole in 56*. I really like this wedge from the bunker. The sole design allows me to open the face and play a variety of different bunker shots. From the fw, wedge shots play very nice and the grooves and milling make the ball sit and spin on command. I have a little difficulty laying it open on shots from tighter lies because of the wider flange, but every other lie seems to benefit from the sole design. I got the Nippon 950 in mine and couldn't be happier. Ball flight seems a little lower than my tour issue Y cutters, but the spin from the grooves really helps the ball check nicely. The milling on the face makes the Spin Milled and Y Cutters look like wal-mart clubs. Overall, I am very pleased with this wedge ancd look forward to purchasing more in other lofts..
  7. I'm lovin' the Nakishima with Accuflex Evolution. Thats the same setup as my driver (except I play Stiff felx).
  8. sorry, It duplicated but this has more pics[a ttachment=654:attachment]
  9. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...bayphotohosting I hope I'm not out of line posting this here but are you kidding me??!!??!! Good thing Im a lefty, I might be dropping the bones on this baby!!!
  10. We have actually done this with a 3/8" diameter bolt for quite a few customers. We dip the bolt in "tool dip" and insert into the shaft (to hold it steady and absorb "shock"). Bolt length depends on how much weight we decide to add. This acts as the counter balance. Adding sand will increase the weight throughout the entire shaft. The bolt method is similar to what has been done by Heavy Putter with the exception of the increased weight at the head. The main thing to remember is that it is all about personal preference. But think of it this way... how steady will you swing a sledgehammer during a putting stroke? It would be extremely difficult to break your wrists during the stroke with a sledge.
  11. I had a SC Pro Platinum Del Mar 3 refinished in Naughahyde (sp) with yellow and red paint fill. It is A M A Z I N G ! ! ! $25 total cost including removal of the shaft and nicks. It did take a little longer than I would have liked, but he is very backed up with work and some personal issues. If you have the time, give Jim a try. Don't be afraid to call him first, Jim will take good care of you.
  12. can you get pics, pricing on the wedges please?
  13. for do it yourselfers... you could use plastic paint... krylon makes one. this is a more "flexible" paint and actually bonds itself to plastic and plastic type materials chemically. they say no sanding... but for best results, lightly wet-sand the shaft. then apply the desired paint in light layers. 2-4 applications lightly should be plenty. Next... apply 2 - 3 light clear coat layers. the more clear, the "deeper" the color will appear. i have a feeling that any good quality paint when applied lightly will work just fine.
  14. i have heard of others who have used shaft epoxy to resecure their weights. there are rumors of 510s that people have changed the weights in as well. again, i hear they use standard shafting epoxy to secure it. you can also get a clear 5-minute epoxy for about $3 from Devcon. it comes in a squeeze mixing tube and seals so you dont waste it after one use. I used it to secure the "fil-m-ups" in my 2 ball putter. you can get it from Grainger Industrial Supply (my work)... but any home improvement store should have something similar.
  15. yep... im one of those. he had a family emergency so he is behind. i talked to him on the phone and he is working 6 am - 2 or 3 am to catch up. i think its worth the wait if you are willing. i know i am looking forward to receiving my putter back.
  16. you could also use Jim at Custom Club Coatings... I sent my SC Pro Platinum in for the treatment and expect it tomorrow or Monday. He charges $20 - 25 for putters including return shipping and I have never heard a bad thing about his work. www.customclubcoatings.com
  17. How do you like the purple ice shaft in the sonartecs?? I'm looking for a new shaft for my SS03 3 and 5.
  18. I just finished it Monday... as soon as I hit it enough, I will be more than happy to post a review. First impressions are good... a slightly lower flight than the R7 and good solid feel. It's just a different animal than the R7/NVS combo... just need some quality time

  20. this isnt a way around the BST... I honestly didn't know what this thing was worth. Like I said, I'm gonna tryo to sell it locally. If not, I'll put it in BST. :spit:
  21. You guys have helped alot... I'm only looking for about $250 for it. It has some slight bag wear on the top... I'm gonna buff that out and one paint nick where the painted hosel meets the alum. part. Thanks again guys!
  22. I bought a Taylor Made 510 deep face with Fuji Tour Release 27.3 in X-Flex for my dad (feels weaker than X). The club has no serial number, the underline under the 5 in 9.5* and Titanium on the toe. It has the "flat" weight and what I understand is the "tour score lines" (I'm unfamiliar with this part). He doesn't hit it well (read high) enough and so we have decided to part with it. I have had a few other guys hit it (I can't, I'm LH) and they loved it. The sound is extremely muted and it has a penetrating ball flight. Any ideas of what it should fetch? I've got some interest here in town and if I don't sell it, I'll put it in B/S/T next week. Thanks for any help!
