That seems a little odd for titleist to do. Are they like the old wilson irons and what not? Maybe like the New X-Tours from cally? Whatever they are like if they are Titleist I am sure they will be :cool:

If you have a Ping tour club and something goes wrong with it they will replace with something similar but you will not get the orginal back. I had a Ping i3 3 wood come in to my store once and I asked the rep if if he could find out about it. when he got off the phone with phoenix, he told me to not send the club back or we wouldnt get the same one. he said it was a tour issue and that Ping would keep it if they got there hands on it. He also said that he wouldn't tell anyone he saw it (lol) Once Ping issues something for a tour player they dont want that item getting out for whatever reason. So markoo's story could have some legitimacy to it. Just my thoughts.

they can be re-cut yes, not sure who does it maybe Joe K. I thought that the whole point of retail RAC Wedge was to have more of a y shaped groove. If you read TM website it talks about how the wedges were designed with "dual draft grooves" and if you look at the crosssection pic that looks very much like a y. Please some one jump in and correct me if I am off base but that is the understanding I have had on standard TM wedges. On the issue of tour grooves in general I thought that the angle of attack had more to do with spin than the grooves themselves. unless in the rough then grooves help because they move grass away from the ball promoting more face to ball contact? again could be off base but that was my understanding. Please chime in and help me if I am way way wrong

Are there other subflexes, ie: S1, S2, S3, R1, R2, R3 etc. I have heard they are around $60 a shaft. They only make an X1, S3, and R3, NO subflexes. We can softstep them to make subflex.
