What is the Crazy La Bomba?
From what I read on their website, i think its also part of a sponsorship program for kids which Crazy donates a percentage of sales fromt he La Bomba range. Apart from that, no difference in specs to the non-La Bomba equivalents.

A sneak peak at the Quadra Fire Express LD60
Took the LD 60 out for 18 yesterday and while it is long (hit one of the longest drives of late and it is on average long and definitely easier to handle than the Kusala Black), I am opting for LY02 in SR flex. Why? I find the dispersion aspect of the LY02 better. Could be the heads (Baldo Tour for LD60 and Akira ADR Tour for LY02) or my swing for the day (could not hit them side by side on the same round) but I guess that is what I have to go on for now.

A sneak peak at the Quadra Fire Express LD60
Yup. Crazy seems to take the lime light here although they do not make their own sheets unlike Quadra from what I read. Will be taking teh LD60 on course tomorrow. Will make up my mind by Monday.

Royal Deco and LY 02 info requested.
Thanks Robb. I've narrowed it down to RD in Stiff, LY02 in SR or the Quadra Fire Express LD60 in K-f1 flex which I am demoing on course tomorrow. Will have my mind made up by Monday.

A sneak peak at the Quadra Fire Express LD60
Disclaimer : Just one range session only and this is not a like for like comparo. I had the opportunity to demo a Quadra Fire Express LD 60 last night at the range I frequent and am very familiar with. It is mated to a Baldo 9* head playing to 46. Itis a K-F1 flex. THe CPM of the shaft runs high (for me) but just from that one range session, it does not play stiff at all which was very pleasantly surprising. On feel, I would say it definitely did not feel one piece and boardy but felt smooth but a tad crisp if that makes sense. For relation on the smoothness, I would say as smooth as the Crazy LY02 I demoed in an Akira ADR tour 9* head but more... crisp. The LY02 felt mushier if that makes sense but that could also be down to the different heads. Definitely smoother, felt easiers to load and infact mich easier to load than the Miyazaki Kusala Black 61R I have in my Ryoma V-Spec. Launch. Now this was night but again, I am very used to this raneg and range balls and I know if one has a stronger, longer flight than another. This LD 60 combo is long! Trajectories depended on tee heights but the flight is strong even for the ones I hit high. It looked like (again, this is at night) like the ball just kept going and going. Spin : Can;t comment on this now as it was night and I can;t see the end state but from the ball flight, it was strong, not ballooning and I can;t wait to get it out again this weekend on course to see the roll out which I hope will be good. Dispersion : I am a natural fader. I hit either straight or draw balls with this! Again, maybe the head but I'm thinking this wil be a great combo to mate with my V Spec which I am convinced is longer than my AF 101 (I know becuase I played the same shaft in both - at different times of course). Funny thing, after I hit about 20 balls with the LD60, I took out my V Spec with the Kusala Black and immediate slice :-) My mind will only be made up on the LD 60 after my oncourse demo this weekend but so far, it looks to be promising. Finally, I am not used to playing anything above 45 but like the LY02 which was also at 46, I had no problems with returning the shaft. This is far form a comprehensive review and I hope to post more after this weekend. I am not expecting the 20-30yard claimed increase but like the LY02 which inspired a lot of confidence off the tee, it can give that same level of confidence and even just 10 meters more, I'd probably pull the trigger. It helps that its much cheaper than the Crazy too. P.S. I don;t know if the LD 60 is a 50T or 80T or whateverT shaft so if anyone knows, it'd be great of you to chime in. P.P.S. Also, is this supposed to be a spineless shaft?

Topping the PRGR EGG SPOON
HI, I find the stock PRGR shaft to be a swinger's shaft and actually quite good. You could be caught out by the lighter weight and added length. Take time to get used to it. It's a solid club distance and forgiveness wise but everything needs getting used to.

Quadra Fire Express LD60
I have this with me now with a Baldo 9* head playing to 46. Itis a K-F1 flex. CPM is high and I'm hoping its like the Crazy which CPMs high but does plays softer than the CPM implies. Will be out on course tomorrow so I'll see how that does against the LY02 Regular with the ADR Tour 9*.

Analysing Swing( mine )
Dale, I don;t know you so benefit of doubt please. I highly suggest you do not do this as it will likely mess you up more than help. See a pro and invest in some lessons if you feel you have big swing issues like me and most social golfers :-) regards

Royal Deco and LY 02 info requested.
I agree with your LM comment! Thing is with the LY02 Regular, I found that just a tad soft but just a har tad if you know what I am saying. And going on the logic that I could move to a SR in LY02 and going by the swing speed charts, LY 02 seems to play half a flex stiffer than RD, I'm wondering if RD Stiff is better than RD SR as it splns less and rolls more and in my part of the world, FWs are not as fast as in say Australia (no where close in fact) so most of my distance is carry but if RD its either the SR or the Stiff and if LY02, its the Regular or SR flex. Damn, and the demos that there are here don't have the LY02 in SR or the RD in SR or Stiff. Just my luck and still confused LOL.

Here's the curve ball, I was on a Vector last Saturday and I was clocking speeds of 47 to 49 m/s and getting distances of 270 to 275 yards avg. That is not what it is happening on course I can tell you. So even if I was to discount by 10%, I'm wondering if a RD in STIff is better going by their swing speed charts. I hate LMs! Totally confused now.

Thanks again for this. Gives me a much much better feel for which flex to go for. I tried a Akira ADR Tour driver with LY02 Regular at 46. Felt good and maybe just a hair soft but the dispersion and distance was very good which begs the question, was it the LY02 or the head... arghhhh... :-)

Thanks for this Steve. I am very6 familiar with the TourAD and DI range ans this helps a lot. Will you say your RD SR feels stiffer or softer than teh DI-6 SR? What length was your DI-6 SR (need to compensate for that as it should feel stiffer if at 45" for example to your RD at 47). Thanks again Steve.

Thanks. I see from the fitting charts that the RDs also seem to play half a flex softer than the LY02 so a Regular for LY02 would be about a SR in the RD? Is the RD Regular equivalent to the GD DI-5 R1 but maybe slightly firmer or softer?

Royal Deco and LY 02 info requested.
Hi all, I tried surfing all I can and I have narrowed down my selection of Crazt shafts to either a Royal Decoration or a LY02 either in Regular or SR flex. Questions pls. Kick : I read both are mid kick.. head for head, whcih launhes lower? Tip stiffness : Both claim to low spin but I read somewhere that LY02 actually has a softer tip than the RD. True? I'm basically looking for a Crazy shaft that launches and spins lower than a GD DI5 and higher launch and spin than the Miyazaki Kusals Blac so essentially a shaft in beween the DI5 and Kusala Black in terms of launch and spin. No heavier than 50+ grams post cut weight as well. This will go into the Ryoma V-Spec head. Thanks.

Graphite Design BB6 x BB6s
Anyone hit the Crazy LY02 and this BB? Weight for weight and flex for flex, how do these 2 stack up in terms of launch angle and spin assuming the same head? Thanks. Also, BB is supposed to be lower spinning than the DI but not according to GD at least not for the lighter weight classes : http://www.gdintl.com/technology/fit-guide

Crazy will change your shaft for free? If yes, then that takes a lot of the risk out.
