  2. I can see it now More ebay nonsense not only will there be retail and crap passed off as tour, now there will be nelson forged stuff being passing off as Himeji, Miura and Kyoei forged. :surprize: :surprize:

  6. apprantly : ********************************************************************** **** And for your question as to what they are, they are the rac wedges with a more agressive groove. The grooves are shaped more in a y shape than a u shape. Somehting like this: / l_l The y groove is meant to spin the ball more. It especially helps from the rough and from around the green.
  7. price .......... I saw 2nd hand set of HM irons on a recent trip to bangkok for 60000 thb or i guess around 1400 UD ... :money: That seems alot for some 2nd hand clubs they must be special... :-D
  8. I hear since they have opened up the 10 courses that the upkeep is suffering and they arent in very good condition any more. But if you are going again let me know and i will follow a few flights behind and pick up your "thrown" clubs, the airmuscles would look good in my bag.
  9. there are places around ueno, i think you get off at the station after akihabara and before ueno...alot of good second hand stuff around Some of it is cheap compared to Hong Kong some of is expensive compared to Hong Kong not sure how it compares to US pricing Have fun Paul *************************************************************** This was a post that i recieved from Alohano when posing the same question For the actual buying of NEW products. Incredibly easy to get to from Shinagawa via the Yamanote Line. As far as used stores, first of all, understand that the quality of clubs at used stores is incredibly good and it's definitely an option for you. There are MANY...Golf Partner, Golf Kids, etc. They have databases for all their outlets to find exactly what you want even if it's not at the store you are checking out. You have the opportunity to sell back to the store at 95-98% the next day/week...that kind of thing. So you have the option of hitting them and checking them out. Nothing like the US. Check out the big retailers (that's fun in itself..9 floors of golf) like Victoria Golf-Shinjuku (fun area to check out altogether), etc. to get a feel for what's out there and know what you might want to buy.
  10. Hmm these scratch wedges must be awesome, (note to self: investigate getting one...or two...or three) Played a round today with a Miura 52* (the non MC series) and was pleasantly surprised.
  11. there lies the problem... I am fond of the MP-14s but i get itchy,i have had them for a few years now......and was curious how they stacked up against the Gauges. Cheers
  12. Hi all I am new to the board and posted this yesterday , but it got lost with the upgrade. I usually dont post these kinds of questions becuase they are very subjective but; I currently hit Mp-14s and a local shop here (hong kong) has just started selling the miura range of irons, they look quite sweet and have taken a liking to the cb-201 and/or the blades. Then i saw the gauge desings and thought they were quite sexy aswell. Now, until i found this site a couple of days ago, i had not heard of Miura or Gauge Designs and was wondering if any one has hit either irons comparing them to the mp-14's Any feedback would be welcome Regards Paul
