Tape all the parts you don't want to be damage and Bead blast the whole heads till clean. Double the tape if you have to make sure strong enough to handle the blast.You can leave the blast finish if you like them or you can send it to a powder coating place to repaint them. I got this ball from the guy who took it from the "MAN" according to him. If you see it carefully, this ball has 4 different size of hexagon dimples to it and on one of the size the dimple is slightly deeper. Through out the ball, it has 6 of this extra deeper dimples. It's mostly a counter balance shaft. TW mostly spec at Mid To Mid low kick and MW is a Mid To Mid Hi kick point shafts. The heavier the shaft the tighter it gets. Some of this shaft are a awsome shaft for FW. But if tipped properly and at the right style of swing, They are a great shaft for Driver too. Good Luck! So Joe, If I liked the the 26.3 X-flex tipped 1/2" and MW54 X-flex tipped 1/2" do you think I need a Stiff-flex tipped 1" or so in the TW64 or can I get by with X-flex untipped? For MW 54 , it's pretty close in number w/ 26.3 tour platform. IMO , Yes ! you can treat them the same tipping wise but Feel wise, those two shaft are not the same. MW feelstiffer by the tip area.As of TW64, I would have to say no tipping is the way to go. I can't tell you much yet how it play on the TW64, cuz i haven't had a chance to hit them extensively yet. Some are pretty close but some are not !

For 43" 3 wood to get a D3 swing weight, I need 220 grams head...Does this tell you something? And I said "MOSTLY". TW84 X flex tipped 1/2" for a 4 wood at 42.5 and I got a reading 7.0 FCM on my machine, That tells me hell of a BUTT stiff shaft. That means they beef it up around the butt area. MW54 is hell of a light weight shaft and It needs hell of a heavy head to get D3 @45" driver, if I'm not wrong +/- 208 grams. This shaft reads a lot softer on the cpm machine but it doesn't play quite as soft. I'm not trying to out spoken Chad ( that is the last think I want to do ) but I installed shaft everyday and I got this shaft before they are. I'm behind the work bench and he is behind the office desk. Joe :cool:

Just got a confirmation from Will that he took my advice and played his new driver w/ a Vista Tour 60 X flex on this tournament. He ordered this driver from Callaway after I advice him to try this shaft to reduce his chances to over power it and improve his spin rate to have a better roll. He told me, it was so much easier to play the iron knowing that the driver is much more reliable. It makes him to be more agressive w/ a better confident out of the tee box. We are going to have a dinner party tomorrow night, even better if he qualified for the AT&T tomorrow. :smile1: Joe :cool:
