May not make you a good golfer, but according to your stats, you should be teeing it up with Jamie Sadlowski, World's Long Distance champ. Sadlowski hits his 6 iron the same distance as you, so by all measures, you should be hitting your drives well over 400.

I think it's great...two power athletes at the top of their game (at least before Lindsey blew out her knee). My other sport besides golf is skiing and Ive always been mesmerized by Lindsey and her ability to win.

Would love to see a video of that kind of power. Do you have a video of your swing you can post? "More explosive than Bubba"? Didn't think that was possible!

Tiger hit his 6 iron 190. Tiger's 2 iron goes 245. Bubba, the longest pro on the PGA Tour hits his 6 iron 218. I've been on Trakmans before that have me hitting it 310yards with a driver and then when I went to the range to hit the exact same setup, it was more like 275 or less. It's a very old sale routine to make you buy more gear. If you hit 245 with your 6 iron, means you should be getting about 400 yards or more with your driver....perhaps Mr D is really Mr Sadlowski??

I never loved the feel of a Scotty...I know all about their cult status, but for me they feel very harsh at impact.

You're like me Jay...I've given some of my most prized clubs and other golf gear to my caddies. They're crazy appreciative of it when I do it and you can best believe besides the good karma, it pays off big time with them taking care of me on the course.

I would second that...never played with a driver that was so brutally unforgiving and driving is my strong suit. Played it with a bunch of shafts and still no love. Low flying bullets then way right, way left, short and uninspiring.

May have been the shaft I chose, but the thing was a hooking machine and I almost NEVER hook the ball. Craziest drives I ever had was on vacation in Cabo. They had some deal where you could test drive a new Tsunami driver (yes, Tsunami!). Thing came with a VERY whippy senior shaft and I just hit long bombs all day long with that club. My playing partner who I play with all the time was floored. The really dumb thing was I figured I would just buy it when I got to the states, but never again found one with the exact same specs. I have definitely noticed that my best drives these days are exactly what the article recommends, which is to play the ball off the toe and just turn it over hard. Discovered this quite by accident when I bought the Lab Launcher in that it has a black face and you can see after each drive where you've hit the ball on the face of the club. Each time I juiced my drive another 10-15 yards, I looked at the face and it was a toe hit vs a hit on the sweetspot. Gear effect at its finest! Edit: don't ask me why I copied the exact same article as Ant...mid- zheimers disease.
