New pics of Gauge Japan Eldik, M3+, and SM490A
You think it is any different in Denver? We have Titleist, Taylormade, Cleveland, Callaway, and Nike. For the good stuff you have to just buy it from Chris and give it a whirl. This kind of started as "I'll give it a try" for me, but now that I have a variety of the Japanese products and am very impressed. If you see something you like give it a shot!

New pics of Gauge Japan Eldik, M3+, and SM490A
I know this is the latest and most updated mallet they make, and I believe it is longer from heel to toe than the M2. Not at all sure about the US models. I can say my aluinser is as flush as can be, and from what I hear the craftsmanship on the Japanese products is superior. Link to the Japan website through the catalog and check out their models... that is the only way to go.

New pics of Gauge Japan Eldik, M3+, and SM490A
I believe the retail is around $900, but there are only two in the world. I paid a bit less but got package pricing for buying three putters at the same time. Really a gem; I hope it knocks the Bettinardi out of the bag; otherwise, I will sell it to someone who will use this beauty and not let it collect dust.

Holy smokes!! 3 new Gauge Japan putters Pictures
I will snap some new ones in the next day or two. That is the SM490A Gauge Design / Golds Factory slant neck putter. 1 of 2 made in the world, and the other was used by a player on the JPGA (this was his backup). Tour black, black aluinser. As Chris stated, the feel is incredibly soft yet precise. I love the light milling on the face (the Eldik and M3+ are smooth). Took the Eldik to a putting green last night and it is sweet. I use a blade style putter now, and it is obviously much easier to align something like the Eldik. I tried the SM490A and M3+ on the carpet at home. The M3+ is a very solid feeling putter - definitely more so than the other two. To be honest, I like them all! The question will be whether or not I pull the Bettinardi to play with one of them... I will work on better pictures and get them up ASAP...

GD Forged CB Review
I agree with most everything you said. I have them on Nippon Pro 950s and could not be happier. They are, however, noticeably thicker than most blades I have seen. Side by side w/ my Tourstage Z101s, the Gauge do not look like blades to my eye. Much chunkier, thicker topline, and a good bit longer from heel to toe. But I fully agree that they are confidence inspiring at setup. The best irons I have hit to date as well.

Holy smokes!! 3 new Gauge Japan putters Pictures
sitting in a box outside my office door! I had placed the order w/ Chris and did not expect them so quickly. I left before the mail yesterday and so they were sitting in the TSG box. Luckily they were still here this morning!! Was not sure which model I wanted so I got 3 to play with. All 34" - retail Eldik, M3+, and Gauge SM490A tuned by Golds Factory Tour Division. WOW, quality looks superb. Glad I held out for the real Gauge. They look as nice as my tour Bettinardi, which has to be the most finely constructed and milled putter I had ever seen. Special thanks to Chris for the package deal and extra freebies!!! I had planned on posting the 1 or 2 I did not want for sale, but they are all so nice I am not sure... we'll see.

Feedback Mp-14's Miura CB201 and gauge designs
Well I have both (actually, the Miuras are shipping out tomorrow to a fellow TSGer), and also have the Tourstage Z101s. The Zs and Miuras are very similar in terms of size (small), forgiveness, feel, distance. The Gauge cavity backs are noticeably larger and have a thicker topline. They are most definitely 1-2 club lengths longer than the other two, in part because the lofts are slightly stronger. I have the Gauge in my bag and have only played one round w/ them. And it followed a round where I played my Zs very well. But I was better w/ the Gauge, and feel I can swing them easier and get better results. Today I hit a bucket and compared 9 irons between the Gauge and Z, and I absolutely prefer the Gauge. But I am a mid capper (15 or so), and I think if I were consistently in the 70s I would prefer the smaller size of the Z or Miura. So perhaps it depends on your game. Miura has not had the best reviews around here lately, but even as a Gauge convert, the CB201s were as nice as any club I ever hit. You can't go wrong in my opinion...

FS: Ben Hogan / Bettinardi BHB3-XA NEW
This mallet putter is brand new and unused. 35". I can attest to the quality of this putter as I play a real Bettinardi DASS tour model. These putters are awesome, but w/ several Gauge Japans on order, I have no reason to keep this one boxed up any longer. Comes completely stock w/ BH pistol grip, BH headcover (w/ embroidered honeycomb pattern in gold), and original box. Shipped UPS and paypaled for $160.00.

FS: Royal Collection (Japan) 15* Super CV BBD / Fuji 27.3
I just got this two weeks ago, and hit it at least 20 yards further than my Mizuno MP1 on steel, but hit the Mizuno straighter. "Super CV BBD", "Super SS Pro 15* RC +4" all marked on the bottom. Of course this is the original version of the Sonartec clubs available in the States. Shafted on 42.5" Fuji Tour Release 27.3 in stiff flex; Lamkin Sonartec grip. No headcover is included with this club (I did not get one and was told they do not come w/ this RC). Outstanding condition, with hairline scratches on the sole and normal wear on the face. Paint is perfect - no skys. Price shipped UPS (to US destination) and paypaled is $235.

Fantastic Gauge Japan Pics
That is your SM490A before it was shrink wrapped. It is a Tour Division tuned golds factory putter before Sasaya quit from gauge Japan. you cant notice the aluinser because its all black. It says " Made in Japan " , "Type 3 pro series", and the aluinser says Tour Division by GF. SM490A is my new dream metal, I like it even more than GSS. I'm gonna try my best to have an Eldik made with that metal..I doubt it will happen. Holy smokes!! Sweet... a real collectors item, and only two in the world! LOVE the light milling on the face. And the "Tour Division by GF" is cool... I wonder how many Gauge putters have that? Stealthy all black... just what I wanted. I will take new pictures as soon as it arrives. Thanks again Chris!

FS: Miura CB201 (like new) 3-PW $675 w/ PICS
For those who have followed some of my posts, I currently have Tourstage satin Z101s, Gauge CBs, and these Miura CB201s. Only want to keep two sets. The Zs and Miuras are so similar I have decided to sell the Miuras, as the Zs have much more wear. For the Miuras: I mostly tested the 7 iron and PW - maybe 20 balls w/ the 7 and 10 w/ the PW. Several balls each w/ the 3 and 6, and the others are completely untouched. The are stock loft and lie w/ Miura corded grips. Dynamic Gold S300 shafts. Purchased through authorized US dealer and currently retail for $1000. My price paypaled and shipped insured UPS to US destination is $675. Thanks for looking!

Only 9 holes w/Eldik
Good to hear... my Eldik will be on the way, but really as a training tool. My Bettinardi has not yielded many three putts and has sunk many one putts, but every now and then I like to mix in a "training" putter (that is how I think of the 2-balls, futuras, and other simple align putters). But I have wanted to try the Eldik. It looks like the best in this class of putter. For good measure, I may also be testing the Tour One Black and M3+. We'll see

Photos Gauge Irons, Can't talk, Hit today, Took off plastic
I'm glad to see I am not the only one who mispels "Gauge" - I always accidentally type the u first too! I played what I thought would be my last round today w/ the Zs. Hit them better than ever. I guess they got wind the Gauge were in town and started finding greens. Great round today. Playing w/ just my dad (who never plays) shot 71 (par 72) in a scramble on a very difficult course. The Nakashima 380 / Aldila NV65 was superb today. Averaged about 275 with a long of 310 on a downhill Par 5. Never a distance guy... I am so happy I can finally go over 240 consistently. Can't wait to work the whole Gauge set this weekend. I'll catch you tomorrow Jim...

Photos Gauge Irons, Can't talk, Hit today, Took off plastic
C'mon Jim... don't hold out on us! This is exactly why I got my set before you got yours... if I waited for your review I would then have had to get on Chris' waiting list just to get them! Seriously though, congrats on the clubs. I hit the 7 iron a little more last night, and it really is something. I still have the Zs in my bag for a round today, and will switch out this weekend. The Gauge is slightly longer from heel to toe, and provides a little more room for error. It also has a slightly thicker topline, but is very confidence-inspiring at address. Hit 'em well good buddy!!

Just got my Gauge CBs w/ Pics
Only if you return them fully blueprinted to my specs!! LOL... have a great trip Joe. Glad you hooked up with my friend Robin... he is thrilled and can't wait to have you work on his gear. I told him he could wait for the best or get screwed by the guy who told him to just change his grips

FS: Mint Fourteen MT-28/A & L wedges
I bought these and some Scratch wedges from a fellow TSG'er, and am keeping the Scratch, as I also got a 47* with those. These are beautiful and in very good condition, with very light normal wear. Grips are corded w/ embossed Fourteen logo and in great shape. Shafts are TT Dynamic Gold S400. The A is a 53* and the L is a 60*. More detailed specs can be found on Fourteen's website, which I believe Chris has a link to somewhere. Usually around $200 each; I am asking $185 for both including paypal fees and UPS insured shipping to US destination.

Just got my Gauge CBs w/ Pics
Well I did an an extensive test over the weekend at the range against the Tourstage Z101 and Miura CB201. Not really comparing apples to apples as the Zs have Rifle 6.0, the Miuras have DG S300, and the Gauge have NSpro 950s. At address, the the GD are slightly larger than the other two clubs (the Zs being the smallest). For me, the Gauge won out easily. I was surprised. Absolutely more forgiving, and perhaps I was benefiting from the slightly larger clubhead. I found a more consistent, higher trajectory. I even liked the Miuras second best, and for the first time would list the Zs last. But the Gauge are VERY solid, and the 3 iron was much easier to hit than the other two. Even though the Z has the tungsten insert, the shallower face of the Gauge allows for a less perfect contact to still achieve good results. I have to say the Nippon shafts are great. Obviously very lightweight, and I thought I may overpower them, but did not. I have had horrible elbow tendonitis for years and years, and I think having clubs that are lighter overall will benefit me on the back nine where it really starts to wear. Before I bought these I swore I would sell off one of the three sets. I think I will demo a bit more, but the Gauge are staying for sure. Not sure I can bring myself to sell factory satin brushed Z101s w/ a 2 iron, and the Miuras are so beautiful... we'll see. I will try to add more detailed photos soon.

If Maruyama wins.....
He has my vote. I am in a small pool and was the only one to pick him in my group. Overall low score of 6 golfers (picked from various groups) wins it, but having him has me in the lead. I need the $ to pay off the recent acquisistions

Just got my Gauge CBs w/ Pics
I'll be honest - when I logged on the other day I had no plan to buy another set of irons. The Zs have been good to me and the Miura CB201s have not even played a round. But I have been intrigued by the pictures and reviews of these clubs, so when I saw the brand new set w/ Nippon Pro 950s I had to try them. This is a very creative set of irons design wise. I am most interested in the low irons. You can see the cavity on the 3 at address, but I don't mind that. It has a very shallow face - somewhat shaped like a Cleveland TA5, which has to be the easiest long iron I have ever hit. The fit and finish is superb. The shafts are stiff but may be too whippy; not sure until I hit them. It has been wet and rainy here in Denver but I will hit these sometime this weekend. Thanks to Bryan for the great deal and expedited shipping.
