Have to agree with Mike on this. I've gone to a more upright finish and my back thanks me for it after every round. I've had back problems all my competitive life so anything that alleviates the problem is welcome. This is supposed to be a lifetime sport, is it not? Yes it is and the biggest problems I have seen from the people I play with are bad backs . Most of them also have a reverse C finish . Plus they never warm up and never go to the gym and work out . If you want this to be a lifetime sport get rid of the reverse C , warm up before you play and get in the gym . Has done wonders for me in just the last 2 months.
  4. If thats it , I think somebody at ping forgot to put the tin foil on his head to keep the aliens away
  5. well I can talk a mean game...  Good for you  Just don't let this side of the house down dude 8)
  6. A face for radio and voice for TV :? pete are you trying to say that you have a face that only a mother could love . :?: Come now don't be telling us that , you have the ladies falling all over you . How could that be possible if that was true . :)

Just did a check on sending it back to Scotty $150 Canadian including shipping both ways . 8-9 weeks turn around . Am going to check out a couple of other place's as I would like to get some custom engraving done . And I know Scotty will not do this work . As to keeping the value of the putter it is not that big a concern. Did a check on eBay and they are selling real cheap these days and IMO I can't see the price's going up that much to make it worth the cost of keeping it original .
  8. I missed some a move I should have had Byrd in instead of Kelly for this round today... hopefully Jerry will come up big and make it a good move... we'll see. For some reason pete I don't think you have to worry . I think you are in a groove right now and you will come up smelling like rose's once again . While to rest of us will be smelling like you know what  I got to worry about the weekend of the 27th... I'm going to have to hire an outside agent to put in my picks for me... :? Don't do that pete , just give me your login and password and I'll see to it your picks get made   If there is only one thing my mother taught me its never to trust an Canadian. If there is only two things then the other one would be how to make a helmet out of tin foil to protect one's brain from the aliens.  ;rofl You are a freakin riot . Have you ever given any thought to hosting your own late night comedy show ;rofl

To retain value I'd send it to Scotty, but if you are just looking for a good job and maybe change the finish... http://www.putterplating.com/Pictures.html Thanks for the advice FAQ , will look at both options to see what is possible. Mike

  12. You aren't the only one that fights a draw . But for me it doesn't happen on every shot :? And that has really got me confused . I also have never been able to hit a proper fade , only thing I can do so hit a push cut so I don't even try anymore . I figure since I play to a low single digit playing what I have I might as well stick with it and not try and change my swing again cause all it ends up doing is driving me crazy :) And I play like crap :(

I have a Laguna 2 PP , that I would like to send out to be refinished and have some custom stamping done on it . Don't know at this time if I want to keep the same finish or have a different finish applied . Who would be the best person/company that I should talk to about having this done . Thanks in advance . Mike
  14. Golfsmith , Golfworks , Dynacraft and even Mitchell golf runs various course's through out the year . Can't really say which one would be better as they would all basically teach the same thing. You can get all the info from their web site's . As to a launch monitor , don't have a clue so won't even try to give you any advice on that :) Here are some links for you . www.golfsmith.com www.golfworks.com www.mitchellgolf.com

"a brand new set of tourstage x blades ns pro s flex....750 dollars" Arggg , where were you six months ago when I would have killed for a set of these  Not really but you get my drift . :) Now I can't justify spending the money after all the other HOing I've done :(
  16. Might not be able to help much on this , as I have never hit the 680's . But I have used both the 681's and the 681 T- Stamps and I found no difference at all . Both set's play the same at least to me . The only difference is the stamping but I'm sure you are aware of that . If I'm not wrong, The different of those two are the bounce angle and mucle hight to suite Tiger's swing and need on the T grind. Joe Joe am sending you a PM .
  17. looks like pete will be kicking some ass agin this week . And here I thought I had some real good picks this week
  18. Thats great . Glad it worked for you . :D
  19. Yup all you can to is tinker and maybe that will fix the problem . Me I tried all last year to fix what was wrong by changing my swing that everything else got out of whack , instead of just playing and letting it work it's self out . I don't tinker as I don't have a spot to do the tinkering :)
  20. I see were you are coming from now . Everyone goes through times like that . Just wasn't meant to be for you . I doubt if the course's are that much tougher , it's just that you are finding it tougher due to the bad breaks and bounce's you are getting . Plus I also think your love life has sort of gotten in the way  j/k When you get back up north I'm sure thing's will start to go your way for awhile , then boom back the way they were down south . Then they will change again . Thats just golf , will always be that way . Thats why we have to work to play golf and not play golf to work :)
  21. pete you are young and have lots of time don't worry about it .
  22. I am not sure I understand how you guys are getting fitted - Most people that need longer clubs nomally also require them to be bent more upright -but if it works and you can control the length - go with it. Keep in mind that the pros even change - when Ernie Els switched to Titleist he went a 1/2 inch shorter for greater control. For me AK , being 6'2" and having gator arm's I need the extra length just to get comfertable over the ball . Then I have a flat swing on top of that , so it kind of balance's it out in the end . Example +1/2" = 1* upright , clubs are bent 2* flat . So in the end they are basically 1* flat . At least that's how it has been explained to me . :) If my clubs are to upright , my swing starts to change to a more upright swing and then I start hitting Chinese hooks . Due to the fact I bring it back too far on the inside which cause's me to bring it back down even further from the inside . Causing a real big inside to out swing . Then no one is safe standing to my right :) Or I just end up topping the ball :(

I've got that catalogue in my office... It motivates me to work harder! :D Well banduga , don't be hogging that catalogue all to yourself . Send it over to me and I'll make sure it get's some use  Seriously , if you are able to get another one PM me and I'll send you my address so you can mail it to me 8)
  24. Yup then lessons might be needed . Pick a good teacher , one who doesn't want to change your whole swing and then stick with him . Sometimes I wish I had a guy here I could go to , as the one guy who really knows my swing is no longer with us :( I miss the old guy real bad sometimes. Lived in FLA , next door to my parents when they had a house there . Now those were some great golf trips . :D
  25. Your clubs are 1" over length :!: :!: Wholly cow and here I thought I had alligator arm's  Or are you really tall . I'm 6'2" and I play mine at +1/2" and 2* flat . Seems weird don't it . Over length but flat lie's . But my swing is starting to return and I'm so happy I could kiss Err no I better not say that  You guy's might get the wrong impression . I do have the same problem as you with my wood's , they are not flat enough so all I do is let my arms hang natural and let the toe come up , It works thats all I can say . Bending a wood or rescue is a risky propostion so you know why nobody will do it for you . Glad to see you had a good time and if I ever make down that way wil be sure to play those course's . But it's going to take either a stick of dynamite or a forced move to get me off this Island and year round golf in Canada :D
