  2. Yes, the CG12 has a great look to it and the new Zip Grooves are second to none. I'm working with Cleveland to have them finished in a satin so I'll keep you posted and try to get pics up this week.
  3. Spoon - I am loyal to my new sponsor with the exception of the Miura Prototype putter I put into the bag a couple of weeks ago. I'm happy to be with Cleveland after the last few months of jumping around from Taylormade, Cobra, and Titliest. In regards to your question - I've only spent a little time with the new 588 wedge but preferred the look and feel of the CG12 when hitting full shots or finesse shots around the greens. Again that's just my opinion because each golfer will have their own opinion as to what wedge works best for him/her.

  8. TMFreak, In regards to your bag post - TM does have some new accessories for 2007, so I'd hold off for a few months in buying the Adidas Bag. As for your question - the TP MB's are by far away the best iron I've seen Taylormade produce. I was given a set of the R7 TP irons but went back to the MB's because of the overall appearance, feel, workability. I may work a combo set to use the R7 TP irons for the long irons and MB's for the short irons, but I'll keep you posted.
  9. In answer to your question - I am a CPGA Professional and a Taylormade Staff Player so the simple answer to your question is Yes, I do like Taylormade. I have a choice in what I play but I choose to play Taylormade because I believe it's the top brand in golf - That's nothing against Titleist by any means because I've hit the 905R, PT 906F2, 695MB's, Spin Milled Vokey's, and played numerous Scotty's and they're great clubs from another premier brand in golf. For myself though I choose to play Taylormade solely because of the Tour Preferred series - unmatched feel, appearance, workability, etc. Again that's my personal opinion and I know everyone will have a different perspective or opinion.
  10. They are definitely sweet sticks - Switched from the Rac TP's and haven't looked back.
  11. I'll have better quality pics in the next week or so, hopefully be a little smaller in size, as well as video and pictures of the swing.
  12. Well I may be biased being a Taylormade Staffer, but the new TP Black Wedges are wedges that I'd put up amongst the top spinning wedges. The new Y-Cutter grooves that are on these wedges, as well as the Japanese Satin TP Wedges produce a large amount of spin.
  13. Sam, John Daly is playing a prototype 460TP, but haven't heard anything from the TM Rep as to that driver going into production. I know the RE*AX Rombax Shafts that I have in my fairway woods and a rescue dual are shaft options now in the TP Fairway wood line. So it all takes time to go through the stages before it hits the public; But if I hear anything about the 460TP coming into production I'll let you know.
  14. See new bag and sponsorship at top of forum. Matt
  15. Yes the Rescue Dual having weights may not set up well to many players but on a playability level it does perform..granted you have the right weight set up. Sly_Sam I'm still using all of my TM setup except for just finished demoing the Tour SQ and three wood but for the remainder of the season I'm sticking with the TM bag. I'll get the new clubs for the off season and start hitting them indoors and get down to the coast to play pending on the snow. But I've got pics of the TM bag I just have never got to setting them up on a site, so if I get some time through the week I'll get on that after all this time.
  16. I was talking with our tm rep yesterday and he was telling me that the weights in the irons are like what you find in the cgb putters and irons in terms of size and he didn't say much as to what they're going to look like but he was gonna let me know when a proto became available. So if I do get a proto to try out i'll let ya know.
  17. nice bag and if you do change the shafts up make sure you get it spine align the shaft (otherwise known as shaft puring, etc.) makes a difference if you saw your club on a frequency analyzer compared to a tour pro or some head pros.
  18. The Rescue Dual is a standard TP model just like the 3 wood, and I had the same thoughts as you all mentioned that the shape of the club and how it sets up is still the same as the rescue mid tp but the added weights I was as I said before skeptical but I was playing around with the weights today which was a 14, a 2, and two eights and after hitting every different type of shot in each setting you could see differences in ball flight, launch angle, etc. Do I think I'll put one in my bag for good, probably not but it was good to try it out for product knowledge aspects. As for the R7 TP 3 wood I tried that a couple days ago and if you set it up to your specs with the right weights it again causes differences. But in the end I'll stick with my 16 degree rescue mid tp. PJ, I'd love to play a round but unfortunately I live in British Columbia in the Okanagan so it'd make a round fairly difficult. Chocolate boy, weights in every club from what I've been hearing from Taylormade is going to be their common trend now since they have just about their whole line covered in moveable weight technology, although I truly hope they don't put weights in wedges...the irons I believe are in the works.
  19. Was demoing the new Taylormade Rescue Mid Dual today with the Diamana h hybrid shaft in the 19 degree model and so far so good, didn't use it much in today's round but I'll go to the range tomorrow and really test it out but it's a nice club which I was skeptical about when I saw the protos.
  20. Update: Driver: Testing Nike 410 and Nike 460 3 wood: Taylormade V-steel 15 degree with DG X100 Shaft Rescue: Taylormade Rescue Mid TP 16 degree with DG X100 Shaft (out of the bag right now) Irons:Taylormade Rac TP irons with DG X100 Shafts Wedges: Taylormade Rac Satin Wedges 54 and 58 with DG X100 Shafts Putter: Rossa CGB Maranello 4 with Winn Rossa Grip Staff Bag: TaylorMade r7 Special Edition TP Staff Bag Carry Bag: TaylorMade 2005 r7 Stand Bag Ball: Nike One Platinum Shoes: Adidas Tour Metal Glove: Nike Dri Fit Tour Have gotten the digi in so pics will be up by the end of the week but what's the best site to host them through?
  21. It's the Fujifilm F10 that has 6.3 megapixels and quite a good deal at a couple hundred but it was backordered when I went through to buy it which didn't make much sense to me but that's the case sometimes so I'll just sit and wait until it gets mailed in. And yes the torsion three stripe were quite comfortable shoes and I still have 2 pair of them sitting in the closet and their clothing line this year is quite sharp. For when I do take pics of the bag, what site is the easiest to host them on?
  22. Ya I like everything about the Ignite driver in terms of how it looks at address and the whole design of the club but unlike Cleveland with their comp driver and investing a lot of money into the sound of the driver which pays off dividends I think....Nike hasn't put enough emphasis behind the sound, but I'm sure after working with them I'd find something that worked for me. But your right Nike does have sharp clothing and nice footwear as well and only since I started playing Taylormade at the beginning of last year have I worn adidas apparel and footwear. haha I want the camera just as bad as you want to see the set up...and if i had any advice don't go through fujifilms website.
  23. Nike is looking to give me a deal and at a demo day last I was talking with my buddy who's the rep for Nike and one of their associates and they were looking for another pro, so I tried a set of the pro combo tours and the forged blades and really liked the feel of both but more partial to the blades because of the tp combos I played last year and 05 tp's i'm playing from Taylormade. The driver I liked except for the sound at impact which put me off a little but work with them on finding a driver that works for me and their new spin velocity wedges don't wear very well but good feel and I saw a prototype putter from them which looked quite similar to what Justin Leonard was using but I'll keep ya updated. Did you decide on the LT2's sam?
  24. Made the switch to the Nike One Platinum and Nike Dri fit Tour glove...the start of a possible switch to Nike.
