  1. Al, I'm jealous! The best I did is manage 20 over at Spyglass last Saturday...at a virtual golf place

TT, There's an article in Golf Digest or Golf Magazine this month about this. Someone was teaching Allen Funt's son (you know the guy from candid camera?) Anyway, hosel shots are caused by an out to in clubpath, not in to out. Therefore, your 'too upright' hunch makes sense. Try addressing the ball and moving the ball out on the toe of the club. Hit some shots this way to help w/confidence.
  3. Congrats on your sponsorship. Excellent bag! Post some pics...
  4. I believe I'm a 'Pro Jock' with a dotted-line to the 'Gutter Gang', but I say let him in!

 I putt left hand low as well. Best move I ever made! That stroke was made for a center-shafted mallet.

Thanks! I have a Nippon 950 FW in my 3 wood. I love the shaft but wish the 3 wood was a little more shallow faced to help elevate. Off the tee, the 3 wood is incredibly predictable. The Big Ben puts just the nicest roll on the ball. The only other putter I'd try is the center shafted Japan Baby Bee in copper  , which is basically the same putter. The Nak driver is the nicest driver I've ever used. It was well worth the $280 in trades/cash I paid for it. Incredibly accurate and plenty long. I didn't like the 420cc though. I actually have another 380cc Nak in 9/10 shape w/an Accuflex Icon V2 in it. I'm trying to decide whether to sell it or reshaft it, as the Icon doesn't fit my swing

All in all I'm ok with the Twister. Biggest problem I have are the straps, but they're not uncomfortable, they're just a little funky when putting on the bag. My bag has never fallen over like some other people have said. I actually think the ball pocket is a good size. I can fit more than 1 dozen in there easy, and if I need more than that, I shouldn't be golfing! I think Ogio's have the best layout, but the quality SUCKED on the 'Shock' I owned, it was too heavy, and the Woode system contributes to bag chatter for irons. I think the Twister has everything I need in a bag really. Of course, I'm using iron covers on these clubs and I don't care what anyone says about it. These irons look too nice not to. Plus, if I ever sell, any clubs will be work much more w/out the chatter.
  8. Thanks for the compliments guys  Finally posted bag pics. Check them out in the WITB thread: http://www.tourspecgolf.com/modules.php?na...c&p=77937#77937

  10. Those diamonds look like they could be a guy's best friend! Hey I should patent that before they take it  What's the point of the diamonds Chris? Just for show?
  11. Thanks gents. I can't even tell you how good they look in person. I bought these used for a steal b/c they had reg. DGs in them ($225 in 9+/10 condition) and new I wanted Nippons, so I sent them to Shreveport. When Paul told me he got the finishing wheel I immediately asked him to give them 'the works.' A friend of mine sent his 690.CBs to him at the same time and opted AGAINST the satin treatment. We both got our irons today and my friend took one look at my irons and said "Holy :poop: I have to send my irons back to have that done." They look sooooo damn good in person. I have to take some pics in the sunlight. Hope everyone is doing well...
  12. Sneak peak. Gotta take some outdoor pics tomorrow.
  13. The Satin Cobra Forged SS have arrived! Holy satin Batman! These are beautiful  I'll post pics in the WITB thread later... As always, I wish everyone good luck with their colons
  14. ...and 93 hours later you've got satin! J/K, seriously, how long did it take? I know with this process you need to be extra careful, b/c if you go thru that chrome at all, it's trouble. Personally, I don't trust myself. I'd probably get too impatient. :)
  15. Paul @ Shreveport has a finishing wheel that he can use to brush the chrome. So, it won't be a true factory finish, but it will be a very even 'satiny' look b/c it's hooked up to the grinder. Anyway, I'll receive the clubs this week and I'll post some pics for you. He tells me they look awesome!
  16. Unfortunately this thread is becoming too much like life lately...too much bad news! I wish everyone the best in their own respective dilemmas. Not too much drama here, though I'm seriously thinking of quitting my full time work and completely branch out on my own. I hate wearing the monkey suit everyday  On a lighter note, I picked up TIGER WOODS 2005 for the PC for only $9.99 at Circuit City! Great deal!!!! Also I just added 512mb of ram to my pc, so this beotch should run faster than a long-tailed cat in a room full of rockin' chairs... Oh, and coming soon to the bag....Cobra SS Forged....SATIN
  17. That's crazy Pete! Lots of guts... I'll be on the lookout for anyone with the username 'PhillyPeteSr.' viewing this thread
  18. Entertaining for sure, but it's an Urban Legend... http://www.snopes.com/politics/soapbox/rooney4.asp FYI, Andy Rooney was the commencement speaker at my college graduation back in '94
  19. Snow's coming down about an inch an hour here in NJ right now...We've been lucky so far this year, but our luck has run out. I'm still grilling some meat outside though. A little blizzard can't stop me. 'Sleet, rain, or snow...The ribs must get grilled..."
  20. Pete posts TWO days in a row? Where's the 'fainting' smiley? :-D
  21. Want to buy Nak 380cc NP-1 9.5° in 9/10 condition. Will buy head only, but would also consider Stiff shaft w/ mid/low bend. [email protected]
  22. Zodia is such a mystery. Why is that? They don't even have a decent website. Are they run out of some high schooler's basement or something? Everyone raves about their products though...
  23. That bag gets two snaps up!

I'm similar in swingspeed, and play NS Pros in my 2 hybrids, & 3 wood, and am about to have my Irons reshafted with 950s too. I love these shafts. DGs are too heavy for me, and I just don't load them properly. I've even tried Dynalite and they're just not a good fit. R300 will only save you 2 grams a shaft, so it's not worth the change, esp. for your swing speed.
