Chris, your day is coming baby... as soon as the .83 COR becomes the standard, all the japan goodies will be playable in U.S. and there is NO doubt the japan released stuff is far superior to the U.S. stuff... I foresee business being very hot for the japan stuff, with its cutting edge technology and great club designs.... Couldn't agree more. There are so many Japanese production drivers I would love to play that are not USGA conforming! I CAN'T WAIT TILL R&A SETS IT BACK TO .83!

Not trying to thread jack here, but I am also wondering sort of the same thing. I am a 1 handicap with a 109 average mph ss. I am looking at getting a 660TR, ZCOM MW64, Diamana, AD M65, or Axiv. Should I go stiff tipped or X untipped? How much to tip? The cutoff for most of these is 105 for stiff... Thanks in advance guys!

there was a gain with the Avix but it was minimal, maybe 5 yards give or take. i think my diamana was tighter feeling but it is tipped 2" as the Avix was only tipped 1/2". if i were to do it again id tip it the same amount & try it again which i may do after my 1st 2 events as i have a 3 week layoff in between. its a tough choice because they are both incredible shafts but id stick with the diamana. What would you say for a 109 smooth swing speed in the Axiv? They offer quite a few flexes, how much should I tip? I am looking to put one in an FT-3 or X-Drive 405... Thanks!
