  1. Concur! I bought 3 Betties directly from the studio one week prior to the announcement of joining Hogan and they are much nicer in look and feel than the Hogan lines. Hopefully this marriage is better than the last! :tsg_smilie_whistle:

Thanks for the spec Sfgolfer. If you don't have an agressive down swing from the top, then go with the PT-6 ... otherwise go with the PT-7.
  3. His original lines were much better and prettier and his teaming up with other OEMs appears to dilute his products quite a bit.
  4. Great looking blades. ACG.

Hue, PM member "rit." He resides in Bangkok and has connection to great clubfitters in Thailand.
  6. Go to search and type in "gauge one" and there are few posts regarding these two putters. I'm using both at this time and to me the Balde is more rounded while the One is more angular. Both are awesome feel and the milling marks get the ball rolling without skidding. The Balde stays in the bag more due to no sight line ... personal reasons. Am not sure if both were manufactured with the same material or not.
  7. Bryant scored 81 points, the second most points behind Wilt Chamberlain (100 points), tonight against Toronto. WOW!
  8. BD, Are you available for golf on 9/16? I'm coming back from Mammoth on Sunday and thinking about playing on Monday 9/16 down at Mile Square. PM me.
  9. Notwithstanding the posting date of 10/24/05, can you add pictures? Thanks.
  10. If you are a member of the Marriott Vacation Club International, the hotel chain Marriott admitted that backup computer tapes containing data (credit card details, social security numbers, and bank details) on approximately 206,000 customers were missing from the company office in Florida. If you are a member, please contact them ASAP!
  11. Thanks. I'll try it at the range.
  12. I played a quick 9 holes before the rain this morning and for the last four rounds, the iron shots are going left ... not dead straight left and not duck hook left. I'm not hitting the green, but rather about 5 to 10 yards left of the green! :tsg_smilie_wah: What's going on?
  13. That's one beautiful driving range, with real water hazard! LOL!
  14. So I finally hit the x-st today. This rubber turbo technology is amazing ... "soft" feel at impact ... more so than the past f-way woods, including the f-st.
  15. You should purchase the equipment giving you the most pleasure from the game, whether import, US retail or tour.
  16. I may be wrong so please correct me if I'm wrong - taper-tip shafts cannot be trimmed (taper-tip shafts are shafts having larger diameters out from the tip end and are .355" diameter at the tip). For this reason, to "change" the playing characteristic of taper-tip shafts, you either "soft-step" or "hard-step" taper-tip shafts. Soft-step is to put a 2-iron shaft into a 3-iron head making it plays "softer" to flex. Hard-step is to put a 3-iron shaft into a 2-iron head making it plays "stiffer." On the other hand, parallel shafts are shafts that have the same diameter for a specific lenght up from the tip. For this reason, parallel shafts come with "trim chart" for custom fitting. Tip trimming of driver shaft, in its simplest definition, is nothing more than "fine" tuning the shaft to a golfer's swing profile.
  17. Will do as soon as I get over this lingering "California flu."
  18. It is one of the hot hi-cor drivers, if not the hotest. I found the Diamana Amorphous stiff to be soft and I'd it re-shafted with a AD M65(s) and on center hit it is a bomb ... easily 20 yards more than the W-505 with the stock shaft. There is a conformed version of the DFI but it appears to be very rare as I've been looking for one with no luck. There is also a hi-cor SQ listed on the USGA.org website.
  19. I found another article, which is more illustrative. Short Shots - short irons and wedges: set the ball 3 inches farther back in the stance, hands pressed slightly ahead and weight favoring the front foot. Swing the arms back to about chest high then swing down with the hand slightly forward at impact. The follow through should also be abbreviated. Long Shots - longer clubs such as fairwy woods and hybrids: normal ball placement. On the down swing, keep the right palm facing down causing the wrist to remain cocked and hoods the clubface. To prevent the ball from hooking too far left, keep the hands ahead of the clubhead through the hitting zone and remember to rotate the right shoulder toward the target. With both shots, swing easy and no more than 70% effort and to take one, two or three extra club.
  20. I'm with you on the officiating 100%!
  21. That was one crazy last play reminiscence of Cal's the "PLAY."
  22. To be young and flexible ... those good old days long gone :tsg_smilie_wah: Beautiful straight left and coil. He compressed on the down swing similarly to AM.
  23. Yoga? Left foot on the ground and yet she's fully extended at the top with the body and not the arms. WOW!
  24. ... and yet his upper body is still closely parallel to the target line preventing the duck hook left.
