  8. Totally agree that it was a disgrace for Zidane to leave the game the way that he did. However, I'd also like to nominate Materazzi for an Oscar - Great Flop of the Year.
  9. Similar to Chris, I do like the 1150 for its feel and distance. Prior to the 1150, I played with the standard Dynamic Gold S300 and the 8 iron distance was about 140 ... with the 1150, it's now 150'ish with a bit lower ball flight. However, unlike Chris, I do like the 950 in the Zodia KM Tour US Spec in the 56* and 59* bent to 60* since I like higher ball flight and softer landing in the wedges without having to open the club face.
  10. Is the Japanese NGV2 the same as the US versions (retail and retail tour)?

I hit the US retail HiBore yesterday and: (1) I can't get over the pooper-scooper head shape; and (2) high ball flight. The Srixon 505 is better ... but then it was shafted with an Axiv.

  13. The GFT-UW 18* w/GD UT-65 stiff is very pleasing to look at, at address. With the square face, shaping the ball is not a problem, even out of long grass so long as the ball is not sitting down in the grass. I found with this club, it is best to have a slight descending blow into the ball. Ball flight is on the high side. The GFT-UW is a bit "loud" for a hybrid.

  15. He's a great striker ... look at the ball mark, dead center on the club face.
  16. I think Tiger added lead tape to his graphite shaft to achieve the same heavy feel as in his steel shaft driver. Adding lead tape to the butt end will reduce the swing weight but does minimal, or nothing, to the dynamics of the club. A strip of 4" x 1/2" lead tape equals to 1 swing weight point. Most golfers cannot detect a 1 swing weight point change.
  17. Einie Meanie Mini Moe, catch a tiger by the toe, if it hollas let him go, einie meanie minie moe ... R460! :tsg_smilie_whistle:

  23. The Pro L has been "in play" now for the last four rounds. I'd both the Pro L and the original L trimmed to 33", with tungsten powder down the shaft of the orignal L to bring the swing weight and static weight up. The Pro L feels softer at impact and does not have the "click" sound as the original L. Also, it seems that the Pro L performed well on fast greens versus the Balde. I played two rounds last week at the Presidio in San Francisco. The first round I played with the Pro L and the second with the Balde. Given that the greens were sanded about 1 month prior and thus were a bit "shaggy," I'd better control using the Balde. However, this last Sunday, when I played at the home course and the greens were a bit faster, the Pro L performed very well with many long putts over 20 feet ended within one foot of the hole. At this time, I'd most likely take both putters to the course and select one accordingly. Of course, putts were missed due to errors from the pilot!
