For some reason this is how they all start out. "Only 10 sets" then a few months from now t there will be more then 25 sets on TSG alone. The people that get their hands on them first will always tell you they are extremely rare to increase the value. I'm not saying I know the facts on these irons, but just stating an observations. Couldn't agree more...With all the TM controversy going on right now I'd be VERY careful about where you get some of the "rare" stuff. I'm sure the TM made some sets of black MB's, but not nearly the number that are drifting around out there now. Just know the history and your seller and you're probably OK. Or keep the S59's in the bag. Still one of the best, if not THE best irons out there. (And I used to have a set of tour MB's at one point.)
  2. And the 671 is still probably the best Fuji shaft out there...To Chris's list I'd add the TW74. Nice and smooth with a little kick at the bottom. It's the bomb in my J340...

It almost looks better than mine and mine's brand new! Beautiful refinish job on the best damn driver out there. I second the comments above. I had a chance to hit 4 or 5 tour R7's with a bunch of rare Fujis, a couple of 580XD tours with Fujis and my 510TP with a 671 and the J340 smoked them all in looks, feel and performance. Simply no other driver out there like it.

tell me about it, I can see it from a mile!!! Oh my god...tell me this is just some horrible joke.
  5. Any idea on the weight of the Matsumoto putter? I have a GD M2+ proto that I might be interested in parting with...
  6. Good decision...It's hard not to try something new and different, but if the Six worked for you no reason to switch.
  7. Very hard to find now. Try JK They're still around if you know where to look and have the :money:

Just for reference, what are you thinking the value of one used golf ball is?
  9. 681's are for real. I used to have a set. Never should have sold them!

The RX-1...now there's a good club. I often think of picking one of these up again. Hope I am not stepping on any toe's here dd . But there is one on eBay right now . Unfortunately, It 's the Type 275, non-conforming model. The 315 is the pear shaped killer. ...the 9* Type 315 Pro Spec is the licensed killer. The 8* (which I've never seen) and the 10* are non-conforming, along with any of the Type 275. Also, guys--If you really want to experience persimon-like feel in a steel head driver try out the X500. It is sweeeet; you'll lose a little distance with it though. So how does the RX-1 compare to the J340? I know it's a smaller head, but curious about other differences or similarities. I know where a couple may be hiding...

Three at a time - wow!!! Never had the opportunity to hit one, are they really that nice? What year were they originally made? best "feeling" "sounding" driver I have ever hit. Maybe not the longest or most forgiving..but the feel is unmistakable. GO member I think his name is USGAbound or something close to that had 2 for sale... I think his are gone but you could ask...I don't know that there are that many "floating" out there. I might have just gotten lucky. (You probably don't want to know what condition mine is in.) Ya, I have a feeling the words mint and new might come into play. That's okay keep it that way since after you slap that Zcom or 671 in there I am keeping my fingers crossed that your ever faithful TP beckons you and you keep me on your short PM list! Found a Zcom TW74 that's on it's way. You're first on my list if I don't like the club, but with winter approaching and a bad shoulder that's keeping me off the range, it may be awhile before I try the club. I'm not sure what's worse, looking for a J340 or having a brand new one sitting here and not being able to hit it. :wah:

  13. Thanks for the input...
  14. I got a 9.5 to allow me to get a stiffer tip shaft and still keep the launch angle up and keep some spin off the ball. I've had a CP-02 in an X-Drive before, but I think the tip might be too active with this head although I LOVED the shaft. I'm thinking of the PM702, W70 or Fuji 671 (which I have now in a 510 TP) I'm curious about the new ZComs, but have no feel for how they play...
  15. Something in the 60-70g range. Medium to high kick. Fairly low torque.
  16. Just bought a 9.5 J340 and wonder what shaft I ought to try in it. Any recommendations? Swing speed is about 110 with a smooth tempo. I hit the ball reasonably high. Would love to hear others experience on what works!
  17. PROTO GA00SP

TM 510 TP with Fuji 671TE X Titleist 980 15* with Fuji PRO95 X TM MidRescue Tour 19* with DG X-100 Ping S59's with TFR 6.3 Ping Eye 2 +no+ SW and LW Gauge M2+ Proto, Ping Anser F WRX, Ping JAS Anser, Bettinardi TR370 with Fuji Tourspec shaft (not all at once though...) At least that's what's in there tonight, but the night is young. Since I haven't been able to hit a ball in about 6 weeks, I'm left to shop for clubs, but not hit them...
  19. Hey Chris...if I spend some more money can I become a Super Duper Certified Seller? :money: I still need to get a Gauge Anser putter from you to go along with that swell M2+ Proto!

    $150.00 max. IMHO...
  21. Don't light any matches while you're doing this!!!! :-D I'd use some Golfsmith (or equal) solvent, not gas...Water soluable tape might be your best bet, although I've never used it. Just make sure you use enough water or solvent to slip the grip on easily and you should be fine.
  22. Price reduced to $150.00. Also interested in trade for Gauge Design Anser style putter plus cash if needed. (Japan only...)
