  1. What type sole grind ( width, bounce, camber, leading edge, etc.) does someone who trapps the ball off the turf need. My home course has really thick deep fairway grass and long rough in the summer. The only problem is in the winter its hard as hell because they don't overseed it. I guess I need sort of an all around grind. Any help would be appreciated I'm kind of lost on the whole custom grind thing.
  2. I have also played the 300's for the last few years and have loved them. I have unfortunately completely worn them out, and I'm also looking for new irons. IMO the 300's are the best irons TM ever made. IMO with all the other good choices out there I wouldn't choose anything TM unless it was another set of 300's or rac 2004 cb's which I have not hit. I would say give the new j33 combos a try in march.
  3. Joe is a real class act. He makes time to give some great advice. I only wish I could decide on what clubs to get so he could tweak them for me.
  4. Joe, what did you hear about the 660. Someone wrote in another post this is the same prototype Adam Scott has been playing.
  5. Does anyone know the specs on tour concepts? I'm curious how heavy the X1's are.
  6. can anyone tell me an english speaking website for mitsubishi shafts.
  7. Sorry for being unclear. The question I was trying to get across is set up to the same specs what head is going to carry the ball the farthest.
  8. I"ve spent a ton of money trying to find a driver to beat what i"m hitting.Since late last year i"ve been hitting a 10 degree purefit at 45 inches and a D-5 swing weight with a graffaloy blue shaft. I don"t know if you know what a purefit is i"ve seen no one post about it. All I can tell you is it has a sp-700 titanium face and go to purefitgolf.com. What I can tell you is it put to shame the TP 510, alpha c830.2, 983k, la jolla 350, callaway fusion, and my latest buy the ignite. All of these were taped up to D-5 swingweight and had the same blue shaft. Give me some incite on what I should try next.
  9. I have no doubt scratch irons are the best irons money can buy.But you won't see big improvements until you find the perfect shaft and head weight for your swing.I did it last year and i've dropped 10 strokes a round.Find someone who makes there living fiitting golf clubs.Someone who has all the gadgets like launch monitors.Trust me you'll be surprised what shaft is really for you.I carry a 5 iron 200 to 210 yds. with a clubhead speed around 115 mph.. My shafts are tx-90's R flex tipped to a 4.0 at a D-2 swingweight. Before I got fiited I had rifle 6.0's and carried a 5 iron about 185.They also told me not to mix shafts in your irons because it can cause tempo problems.Thats my experience maybe it will help.
