  1. looks to be a little t.p. mills inspired? the faux insert is for roll attributes i take it?
  2. thanks for the info Chris, the 9003X is a little scary for me in a driver at 80grams. these shafts were made by GD as a response to people who said all the shafts were soft with too much kick correct? a real tour shaft so to speak? it just amazes me the JPGA and JLPGA presence the quattro tech shafts get. maybe the MD is a better all around choice.
  3. I didnt realize they were that opposite in terms of make-up. Maybe a bad comparison choice. I know there is a member on here who has hit the 9003X waiting to hear his thoughts. no dice on the irons...
  4. think I am gonna finally go ahead and get an EPON AF-101, but I am torn on shaft choice; its either the GD MD-7 or the GD TOUR AD 9003. I know a few here have played the 9003X just wondering what everyone thinks? I have zero experience with GD shafts, as I have been a die hard fuji fan and have played the 771TA in my driver exclusively for 5+ years. but the JPGA dominance of the GD's really makes me wanna try one...
  5. this is pretty common in the us too if you go high enough, i am not 100% correct but isnt titleist(acushnet) own by colgate-palmolive?
  6. that fw in the pic looks simply amazing!
  7. as busy as these are, and mind you its only the sole. they do have a neat wow factor for some reason. definately in the market for a new fw this season(as it seems like alot on here are) would like to know how these play, are they more for the "athelete" player type? or just a good all around fw for all levels.
  8. I got a rather dumb question, why are these sets only 4-PW, no 3 iron available? If these are the tour model, 99.9% of all pro's are still playing 3 irons arent they?
  9. Do those ever look good, could this be the long awaited follow-up and successor to the mr-23 us spec (cb's); different company of course, but same forging foundary.
  10. Would love to hear your thoughtson the GD when you have had more time with it. I have been a die hard fujikura fan since I made the switch from steel to graphite in woods/drivers. Its nice to see the amount of shaft options for the EPON's and I figure the upgrade at only around 1/2 retail isnt too bad if things dont work out with it. Judging by the specs on your 460ZR mine are gonna be pretty similar(minus the flat part, but I would get one 1.5open)
  11. think i might give an af101 a go with the new gd9003 shaft, and if i dont get along with the shaft a fubuki proto will be going in there
  12. Chris and anyone else who has hit these; having never hit an epon myself, what kinda sound do these give off?
  13. to my eyes, and this is just personal preference the new af-101 looks miles better. especially the crown shot on the last pic
  14. Chris, this sounds right up my alley, while I love the 460P, I would really like to try one of these EPON drivers. I do like the crown pics of this much better than the others, I looks more pearish in shape to my eyes. you mentioned custom face options are available? what about shafts?
  15. wow do those ever look amazing. interesting to see these and the yamaha's have similar cuts on the muscle.

like the '07 labo spec from onoff made for the JPGA tour, this '08 plus model appears to have the clock style ferrule, it is very similar to cally's tour only clock style ferrules in which you can dictate and manipulate face angle. if you are gonna re-shaft this make sure you get someone who knows what they are doing, I am sure TSG works would be a good choice
  17. I am fiending for a re-incarnation of the MR-23 line from bridgestone/tourstage. I know Maru is mostly playing stuff from the x-series(460P, cb irons etc.) and he is still using '04 versions of his wedges but I would love to see them bring something back under his signature line. I mean the stuff was always limited anyways so why not continue on? Any news or info for '08?
  18. i know there were some rumours out there that some of the fourteen proto's had some illegal grooves
  19. gocchin, i thought they were sort of touting the ali'islei as the black board, i have seen it mentioned that way. i know this is gonna cause a string of confusion....

was anxious to hear some reviews on the 445, thanks for posting your initial thoughts on it. i dont know if i would ever swap out the 460P but... out of curiousity how is the web on the crown at address? its not too distracting i take it? but what about in direct sunlight
  21. Brand new in box Titlest 681 "T" stamp irons; 2-PW DG-S400 D4 swing weight $2200 OBO shipped
  22. some of the new onoff's as well have quite open faces. like the 450cc head they currently have out is i believe 1.5* open. from my experience these onoff's in particular i would equate to a titleist driver in terms of performance and feel, etc.
  23. came across this, it is a fuji rombax, dont know if its special edition or if these are the new graphics to replace that god awful yellow/gold they had previous. although that being said this is way way too busy for my liking. still prefer the simple tourspec graphic
  24. I believe when the stinger launched in '04 it came with a hat as well, and even maybe a towel. here are actual pics, as well as one pic from the tourstage prosupport car, which shows maybe a diferent paint scheme as its really really blue. *you can see the hibiscus flower ring on the grip end cap, looks awesome! here is the pic from the tourstage van, looks way more blue, possible a jpga paint scheme?
