2014 Yamaha CB w/ Quadra Fire Express DGL 90 shafts
I casure. believe that no one has commented on this setup or the shafts. I have a few rounds do on now and they are no joke. Impressive for sure. The shafts are top notch. Better than all the other graphite shafts I have had. Can take all I can give them. They like load and and lag. Flight is easily controlled, no ballooning. Feel is powerful without rubbery. Worth a look For surw

2014 Yamaha CB w/ Quadra Fire Express DGL 90 shafts
I have had a few different graphite shafts: Recoil, Crazy CB, Aerotech, etc. The Crazy felt very lively and kicked almost too hard. They went very high. The kick was almost disturbing. The Recoil shafts were significantly more stour, but still had a graphite feel. Kick was more controlled. Aero tech were more stout, almost borady, but we laser straight. The Fire Express are a different feel and kick than the others. Feel is more steel, a subtle kick. The whole shaft feels as if it releasing rather than the tip. Accuracy seems great this far with an ability to work it. They do not feel glassy, but not rubber either.

2014 Yamaha CB w/ Quadra Fire Express DGL 90 shafts
2 rounds and a little range time behind me. Bought these last fall, but just assembled recently. I didn't hit the irons with the stock shafts, so I don't have any point of comparison against these shafts. My initial take is as follows. Iron Heads Typical Yamaha. Great fit and finish. For me, I don't notice any visual issues with these irons. I have had all the tour irons and could pick up anyone of them and not have an issue from set to set. Typical crisp Yamaha feel. Not soft, but a positive crisp feel. I almost think these provide more feeback than most of the previous issues. Not much I can say about these that hasn't been already said. Just good stuff. Shafts If you know the Fire Express driver shafts, you know what these look like. They are parallel tip. Truly I have been chasing and wanted a Quadra iron shaft for years. When these were released, I liked the weight and the specs seems to fit me. Spec wise these looked a little softer than the DGL 120s. I hadn't been playing golf in 5 months. When I first began to swing I could load these. Once I was able to create the proper lag, these woke up a beast. Feel isn't typical wimpy hard kicking feel. These are a bit stout feeling, but the release feels like the whole club if releasing rather than the head kicking. The ball just went straight with very little off line deviation. The ball gets up quickly, but flattens out and carries forever. I flew greens many times and it was obvious that these could be a club longer. No ballooning at all. My initial reaction is these are a great combo. The shafts are long and they are accurate. They like a load on them and should be able to handle all that I can give them. The setup is crisp and not rubbery at all. Should be a good season.

2013 Yamaha Tour V Forged Irons 5-PW with Recoil Shafts
Here is my annual sale of the previous years Yamaha irons. These are the Tour limited edition. Shafts are Recoil F3 set to play between R and S flex. I believe the 5 iron is 38" Condition is great. Pictures don't show well because of shadowing. I am in a hotel and lighting is bad however you won't be disappointed. As always I sell these off at a bargain price to give others a chance to try the Yamaha line. $999 shipped in conusa. International by quote. I will not split the heads from the shafts. First to pay gets them.

Yamaha 2014 Inpres RMX Lineup details!
Received mine yesterday. Unfortunately the weather is nasty here. Going to install Quadra DGL 90 shafts. Have them as well. Much better looking in person that people have commented in pics. I can easily transition to these from any of the previous years models.

Yamaha 2014 Tourmodel CB Quick Look
Yes I am excited. I am seen some really great pictures from any angle and these look stellar. The meat in the cavity bottom should be incredible. Initial reactions is they are long, soft, and reminiscent of the past models that were so great 2008/09/12.

2014 Bag Ideas
Yes but Tario described the DGL as lower launching. Apparently the butt of the WBQ is smaller as well.

2014 Bag Ideas
Ok I know it is 2013 but I like to use the winter to build my 2014 bag. Driver - set for now with XXX 10.5 SR Messenger. FW/Hybrids - Same Akira Protos from a few years ago. Putter - Set with Odyssey #9 Wedges - Likely set with Miura MB-5000WC although likely will change shafts. Irons - 2014 Yamaha Tourmodel CB 5-PW. I do love the looks. There appears to be hidden tech there as Yammy normally does. The name or stampings are irrelevant to me. I am looking forward to an easy to play high quality head. I am tired of having to be on the top of my game to score well. Some days I just want to golf. Iron Shafts - after years of eying the Quadra shafts and figuring out if the Fire Express ones would fit me I finally settled on the new DGL 90s in stiff. The flex seems right and the profile suits me. Tario can chime in but he explained that they have a stiffer tip and softer butt with a higher kick point than the WBQ. Also the original DGL 115 was rather stiff and low trajectory. Being lighter these should fly higher and with softer flex should work for me. I am excited. What is everyone else doing?

T, May be a good idea to retake the second photo. The shadow really makes the transition of the hosel to the top line look strange.

Yamaha 2014 Tourmodel CB Quick Look
I have owned each iteration since 2008. Despite questionable and head scratching designs, Yamaha always delivered. In this case, I expect they will do the same. No doubt they want to expand the appeal and playability beyond the low HC player. In my case, I am playing the best golf of my life however I welcome the CB to help me get even lower scores. Likely I will also pick up the MB at some time also. If I hit this well and feel is nice, I will be more than happy. Now I just need to be patient.
