  1. Today was the first real good weather golf day we have had although it was a bit breezy. Temps in the high 60s. I played a course I know quite well and thus had a good measure of how my clubs were performing against previous contenders. Let me just say,.for me and in my opinion this Syard driver could be and likely is the best I have ever owned period. I only missed 3 fairways and it was my fault. This club for me is simple to play. If I stay on plane it is automatic. Straight or draw balls with a medium trajectory that can eat through wind easily. The rolll is fantastic and quite frankly I have never felt a driver as powerful. The results were simply amazing. The longest drives of my life and that is something for a 45 year old who has been playing for 35 years. Most drives were 270-380. A few close to 300 and one was 347 (yes an elevated tee box) I know I will be accused of stretching the truth however I measured accurately and confirmed by the distance of the next shot. Of the 4 par 5 holes, I easily reached the green in two on three of them, none of less than 490 yards. That is great for me. This has truly changed my game. Never had a driver made such a difference to me.
  2. Yammies are easy to hit.
  3. You can still order a 4 iron.
  4. Hard to believe these are still around. Let's hear the offers.
  5. For those interested, can send to UST and have Recoil shafts of your specifications installed, etc. Add $85 per club plus grip and shipping.
  6. The 2013 is cleaned and crisper. Very forgiving and more accurate. Possibly easier to turn over as well.
  7. The 2012 and 2013 are not similar.
  8. I am not sure what he is settling on. Mine are still in the bag.

Played the Syard today in 20-30 mph wind. Shocking how well it played in the wind. I play this course a lot and know it well. A few times I was at or past my normal drive despite the wind. I have find that a proper release is key with this club. I can see why people love it or hate it. I don't think that forgiveness is the issue. I think it is more about the ability to handle the stock shaft correctly.
  10. I thought it was time to give a long term update on these wedges. I play a 52 and 56. These are very simple and clean looking. No real stand out visual frills here. Nice smooth and clean. Smallish size with s pleasant sayin finish. Anyone not specifically studying these wouldn't notice anything special about them. Looks can be deceiving. Boy these just flat out perform. In all conditions these excel. Tight lies, wet lies,.chips, lobs, etc. They rock. Feel is perfect. Soft yet positive. I confess that I am not a wedge snob. However I do know quality and performance. I also like my wedges to be versatile. These are everything I need and I can't imagine what more a wedge can provide. For the price, they can't be beat. Make me wonder how the Syard will compare. Who else is playing them?
  11. Too early to tell. Need to get them back with correct lie and shafts. Yams are really great clubs. I find them very forgiving and easy to turn over. No doubt the top view of Yams is sleeker.
  12. Nope I have them. In fact played them today.
  13. Limited time with them because I need the lie adjusted. Initial range thoughts are great feel and easy to hit. Sent today for new Recoil shafts.
  14. I was at my lesson today with a former PGA Tour Pro. At the end of our lesson, I pulled out a 7 iron (had my Yamaha otherwise) and asked him to hit it. His first swing the ball flew perfectly. He looked at it and proceeded to grab his Taylor Made iron and hit it. It flew slightly higher with a baby fade. He hit the Onoff again and it was an exact copy of the first hit. He looked at it again and said, "Get these things away from me." I said, "We need to get you into a set of these." He said, "I know, but I wouldn't get my bonus from Taylor Made."

    Tour velvet
  16. I think length is measured on the back and to the bottom of the heal while height would be from the bottom of the toe.
  17. Don't under estimate the latest Miura wedges. As idrive and I have said, these really leave you wanting for nothing more. They don't look fancy but they are great. It will be interesting to see how the Syard stack up.

    Sent you a PM.
  20. Tae had them. I recall he said pretty stout and not that easy to launch. Check with him.
  21. Interesting that the stock shaft is working so well for everyone. Give credit to the designer for putting thought into the right shaft for the head. Seems like others slap in something cheap or whatever they think is the flavor of the day. Kudos.
